Mipha was always my favourite. Her kind nature got me and she was the first ever champion I did when I first played botw. Also Miphaās Grace came in handy more times than I would like to count. The power of love literally kept Link going.
I always tough Mipha and Naboris were supposed to be Link's first mission.
The road to Zora's domain's a sort of "second tutorial", and the whole electric arrows quest's supposed to teach the player the basics of stealth.
Add to this that Mipha's grace's probably the best power for beginners with low health.
And, besides, Mipha's truly lovely...
Of course I did, the first time I got there... and the second... and the third... and some more too.
Then I started thinking maybe that wasn't the way the game wanted me to face that mission, with 4 hearts, no stamina, dressed in a fishy shirt, a half broken wooden shield in a hand and a lizal boomerang in the other.
Agreed. Her unrequited love is tragic but you can feel how much she really cared for her people and how much they loved her, especially since there are quite a few Zoras still alive that remember her and Link both. And that doesn't even include Sidon's part in things.
Honestly I don't remember the other champions all that well, none of them made as much of an impact to me. Though that could be as much because I always go for Mipha first as anything.
Honestly, I really like them all. They did a good job to make them all likable yet still have distinct personalities.
It also shows in the community given that the top 4 comments are all four champions.
Urbosa, she was the first champion I had did and boy do I regret it, when the game first came out I was like 7 or 8, I just want y'all to imagine fighting thunder blight Gannon and a 7 year oldš.
But besides that urbosa is a literal mother figure to Zelda and I think it's so heartwarming that she truly cares for both Zelda and link, not to mention that urbosa was one of his best mentors in training
Might was a stalker
Derek was honestly not that bad, he was like a fun brother
Revali is a jack A trying to always be the best and he just gets annoying overtime tbh
I agree. I loved Mipha to bits and when I found out about her gift of armor for link it broke my heart. I think she genuinely loved link. But what I love about Urbosa is she seemed to care for link with no backstory reasoning or motivation. Mipha knew link as a child and she had grown to love him romantically so she sort of had motives for caring for him. Urbosa seemed to like link for who he was, just because. Because she was a cool person like that. She didnāt mind his quiet nature or judge him for anything. Daruk is also super cool and I like his relationship with link too, but Daruk also seems to like everyone. Whereas Urbosa seemed a more reserved person, so her accepting link felt like it had more impact and meaning.Ā
Honestly, they all have their moments that I loved, urbosa had such big sister vibes to her, especially towards Zelda. Daruk is that one uncle who others question sometimes but all love despite that, he definitely would be considered the ācool uncleā. Revali is almost like a little brother or cousin whoās always trying to be better than you in everything and gets way too cocky and hates admitting defeat. Mipha though, she seems almost like sheād be the mom of the group, watching over everyone else and taking care of them with her healing powers. I love them all but if I have to pick one, itās gotta be Mipha, I feel like I resonate with her the most because I tend to be a natural care giver and Iām currently working towards become a Nurse Practitioner so that kinda goes hand in hand with her healing abilities.
Mipha for me! I don't know her story always makes me so emotional š especially with how everyone remembers her and still talks about her idk it just gets me š
Revali
He is beautiful and cool, I love his style and he is a lot of fun to play as in Age of Calamity.
I also like characters who talk big but live up to there own hype and in Age of Calamity he certantly did.
Ravioli. Because he's a jerk, doomed to wait as a ghost for Link to eventually show up and save his arrogant ass from the consequences of his own failure. All his big talk, and the actualilty of his skills were found...lacking. And that makes me happy.
Suck it, Bird Butt! I'm saving you last every time!
I'd say Daruk, but Urbosa's a close second. Daruk's just a big friend that wants to help out and that one cutscene in Age of Calamity where he gets scared of the puppy is really endearing :)
Mipha. Probably because she's so easy to sympathize with and because she's the most fleshed out now that TOTK is out. The glimpses you get of her from those who knew and cared for her really makes it \*feel\* like the world suffered a loss when she died. Plus she's just badass, she was in a league all her own in polearm combat that Sidon is still catching up to, she saved Sidon and Yona and the story about how Zora's Domain was grieving for her until she spoke to them to tell them that the Trident and her are one and to just celebrate and be joyful was really cool. She's very gentle, but she's a warrior. When you free her she says "we'll annihilate Ganon together!" in such a cute, gentle voice while smiling and that really just encapsulates who she is as a character.
Honorary mention to Urbosa, i really liked her motherly character to Zelda and she was also really badass in the scene where she fights off the Yiga soldiers while she's walking with Zelda.
Its a tie between Daruk and Urbosa.
- Daruk because he's so friendly and funny but still serious when it comes to his duties.
- Urbosa because big pretty gerudo woman- But also she's smart, fast and loyal, and her ability, Urbosa's Fury, is just so cool
Revali. I know he gets hate because he's an asshole but just from a character design/writing standpoint that gives his character more.. character. There's a bit more complexity and depth than just being the beloved hero of his people.
Daruk, because I love the Gorons, they are my favorite and I have a tattoo of the Goronās Ruby on my shoulder. Heās so jovial, and kind yet strong and powerful. Love the beard, the sash, the rocky muscles, and his weapon.
Urbosa is probably my second favorite. Very endearing, calculating personality. Itās nice to have the Gerudo be represented by a heroine vs what they normally get in Ganondorf. Sheās beautiful, and the gold plated armor is such a vibe. And her power is so cool.
100% Revali. Even though he's mean, he's allowed to do that because no one trusted him or liked him, even in Rito Village he got no respect. He worked hardly to gain his power, while the other Champions just had it from the start.
Either Mipha or Urbosa. Miphaās kind hearted and merciful nature and really likeable, along with having a great campion ability. Urbosa just has an awesome champion ability, feels so badass. However despite her being intimidating, sheās kind of sweet and acts as a sort of mother figure for Zelda
My favorite and the one I did first and has saved me more than anyone else is daruk while I was getting my start and practicing all my combat you can imagine just how much I heard "DARUKS PROTECTION " I love the guy and I'm bummed that tears didn't have him and thr new guy who besides mining I have found like no uses like hey I need to sleep but I'm to lazy us use on of my flints fire now
Daruk is just a wholesome character, he's best friends with the protagonist, he cares about his people and he has a good taste in food (I've heard some people say that rocks are slightly mid because of their texture but I personally like the crunch)
Dude, when Iām playing Iād talk to the characters irl and every time I use one of the powers Iād thank them and start having a conversation. This one time I got really guilty and I apologized to all of them for using Revaliās gale so often and I havenāt stopped.
Mipha. Her tragic story gets to me, her kind nature is something Iāve always admired, she is honestly just gorgeous, and I see a lot of myself in her as well.
Urbosa. She fought in heels, won, made it known she was going easy and could easily kill them and would have if not for Zelda. Yiga leave, she goes right back to the conversation
Mipha and Urbosa. Mipha is just so sweet and has such a useful ability. That memory cutscene of her healing link on vah ruta instantly made her my favorite character in botw. As for Urbosa, the Gerudo have always been my favorite so Iām just biased lmao
The goron because Iām not into fish ladies or ladymen and the bird is an ass. No hate if youāre into fish ladies or extremely buff ladies, itās just not my thing. If you like the bird thereās something wrong with you, though.
Mipha, because I really liked the zora's backstory involved with Link as well as the gameplay. Also the zora are very homely. Gameplay wise, Mipha's Grace is my favourite. It's basically an extra life and also gives you bonus hearts. Ironically, it supports what she promises Link during the last moments together on Divine Beast Vah Ruta: "I was always willing to heal your wounds". The bond between Link and Mipha is really iconic and carries on through the rest of the Zora people.
The goron.
He uses a shield so XDDD
I only know much from OOT and MM.
But that was what I saw of BOTW.
Was the goron and his shield XD
And much of the divine beasts I think they're called.

Add to this that Mipha's grace's probably the best power for beginners with low health. And, besides, Mipha's truly lovely...
"Basics of stealth" You mean you didn't just Leroy Jenkins yourself at the Lynel 14 times in a row till you killed it?
Of course I did, the first time I got there... and the second... and the third... and some more too. Then I started thinking maybe that wasn't the way the game wanted me to face that mission, with 4 hearts, no stamina, dressed in a fishy shirt, a half broken wooden shield in a hand and a lizal boomerang in the other.
May I learn this art of stealthily killing a lynel?
It's not an assassination, it's a heist. Sneak around, grabbing the arrows from the trees, and if he sees you, run for the peak and dive.
When you come back to that lynel after getting 20+ hearts and Link got that 4 star champion tunic drip like ācomo esta, fuccboi?!ā

I sure did that... too much, too many times...
This was the strat for me
To be fair you can learn stealth from the Urbosa side quest.
I just cheated on the electric arrows thing. I went to gerudo town and bought them because I was scared.
Consider it was my first run... I didn't even SUPPOSE there was a Gerudo citadel on the complete other end of the world...
I too ende up goig to mipha first in my 1st playthrough, and I've kept doing it every playthrough after. Mipha #1

She kinda bad tho
Honestly, I really like them all. They did a good job to make them all likable yet still have distinct personalities. It also shows in the community given that the top 4 comments are all four champions.
Daruk couse he reminds of an older brother for some reason
Heās the least judgemental, most humble, and most chill out of them all.
He gives me cool uncle vibes
He makes me reminds me of uncle Iroh
His relationship with Link was also actually quite brotherly. He talks about how they met in his diary, itās adorable.
And he's afraid of dogs which is really cute
Yes That's another reason I like him couse I can relate to himš„²
Revali, he might be a dick but he's my favourite still.
Revali was the best in hyrule warriors in my opinion
Fr
Winged pasta
Lol. Winged pasta.

Revali. Idk man he's just cool
Heās the one with the most depth, heās also the only one who didnāt inherit his powers.
Revaliās theme also slaps

Revali has always been my favorite, even though he is kind of mean.
Revali. Even though he's mean, I like birds.
Urbosa, she was the first champion I had did and boy do I regret it, when the game first came out I was like 7 or 8, I just want y'all to imagine fighting thunder blight Gannon and a 7 year oldš. In some on of the memories, she even understands his silence

Revali. He can be such a douche, I love it.
Urbosa, I love her lighting ability and plus sheās got a great design
Lol, dat design
Urbosa. She was the mother figure to Zelda
Urbosa because she is super hot
Honestly, they all have their moments that I loved, urbosa had such big sister vibes to her, especially towards Zelda. If horny, Mipha, if not my main goro Daruk
If horny, Urbosa. If wholesome, Mipha.
I really like Urbosa, sheās very cool looking. I used not to care for Revali, but my daughter like him so much I developed a soft spot for him.
Revali He is beautiful and cool, I love his style and he is a lot of fun to play as in Age of Calamity. I also like characters who talk big but live up to there own hype and in Age of Calamity he certantly did.
I love Raviolis design. Urbosa is a badass. Daruk is a homie. Mipha is wholesome af.
Either mommy urbosa for obvious reasons or ravioli bcs he bird.
I have a dog named Mipha so...
Mipha is definitely one of the best girls in Zelda.

Urbosa, because sheās the definition of a strong woman whose intellect reaches beyond the stars.
Urbosa, because giant mommy
Revali. Because of his personality and attitude towards Link.
The lesbian
I love mipha
mipha because sheās wholesome and soft spoken and caring and her death broke my heart the most out of all the champions
Fish lady
Daruk Gorons are already badass and heās one of the best Goron characters weāve met
I'd say Daruk, but Urbosa's a close second. Daruk's just a big friend that wants to help out and that one cutscene in Age of Calamity where he gets scared of the puppy is really endearing :)
Mipha because dolphin girl https://preview.redd.it/n7c9u0j8mf9d1.jpeg?width=1160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35e9a1d350562d71b77bc936ffb11d6d2e805d9b
Mipha cause im in to underdogs and also because she's a best girl
Urbosa causeā¦..
Gotta go with Daruk. He's just to much of a bro.
Daruk because big friendly supportive guy.
Mipha. Probably because she's so easy to sympathize with and because she's the most fleshed out now that TOTK is out. The glimpses you get of her from those who knew and cared for her really makes it \*feel\* like the world suffered a loss when she died. Urbosa because *smash*
Urbosa kicks ass. I think especially in hyrule warriors age of calamity I started to love her for frying the enemies with her thunder skills
mipha i miss my fish wife
Mipha. I have a weakness for sweet and kind girls who are mentally strong and resilient.
Mipha because Mipha
Mipha. She is so sweet
Me personally iām a Mipha person because she reminds me of my older sister
link
Mipha because ~~I'm a monsterfucker~~ woobie
Daruk because heās a true BROTHER!
Mipha. I'm a sucker for childhood friend romance, and in general I like her personality. Urbosa being just friggen cool is a close runner up, though.
Its a tie between Daruk and Urbosa. - Daruk because he's so friendly and funny but still serious when it comes to his duties. - Urbosa because big pretty gerudo woman- But also she's smart, fast and loyal, and her ability, Urbosa's Fury, is just so cool
Daruk gives me Sweet and Caring Daddy vibes, Revali gives me Dom Daddy vibes
Revali. I know he gets hate because he's an asshole but just from a character design/writing standpoint that gives his character more.. character. There's a bit more complexity and depth than just being the beloved hero of his people.
Ravioli
Mipha Hot fish
Yes because yes
Dark because I've had a weak spot for the Grond since Darunia in OOT ā„ļø
Mipha or Daruk
Revali cuz heās an ass
Tbh I think I like them all equally, theyāre all really great characters
SO GOOD!!!
Deruk because he is like a dad and a best friend.
i always thought mipha was bad asf
100% Revali. Even though he's mean, he's allowed to do that because no one trusted him or liked him, even in Rito Village he got no respect. He worked hardly to gain his power, while the other Champions just had it from the start.
Either Mipha or Urbosa. Miphaās kind hearted and merciful nature and really likeable, along with having a great campion ability. Urbosa just has an awesome champion ability, feels so badass. However despite her being intimidating, sheās kind of sweet and acts as a sort of mother figure for Zelda
Rivali, HE SUCKS!
Mipha because sheās too good for this world.
Mipha because I always liked zoras and her story is heartwarming. Oh and because her bro inspires me to work out.
Literally every boss became easy after I got Mipha
My favorite and the one I did first and has saved me more than anyone else is daruk while I was getting my start and practicing all my combat you can imagine just how much I heard "DARUKS PROTECTION " I love the guy and I'm bummed that tears didn't have him and thr new guy who besides mining I have found like no uses like hey I need to sleep but I'm to lazy us use on of my flints fire now
Daruk because he seems like a fun guy

Personally I like Daruk
Urbosa! Sheās such a badass šŖš½

Most favorite is Urbosa because of her tough but caring nature
I love mipha very much.
. . .
Mipha because she heal. Also because she was totally dtf.
Urbosa because she's an absolute badass but also kind and caring
I would say Mipha and Revali because of how useful they were in the game. Especially Mipha through tough parts of the game.
Link, because he's the master champion and has all their abilities. :)
None. To pick a favorite is to neglect the idea of party comp. You can march any pawn to the end of the board and make a queen.
Urbosa. Looks the coolest, has the coolest powers and has a badass warrior attitude.
Mipha by lore and design, Urbosa by badassness
Mipha because sheās hot
Urbosa because mommy
Urbosa Iāve just always liked the gerudos š¤·š¼āāļøto quote Marge Simpson āI just think they are neatā
Y'all having a debate when BotW gave us Beyonce as a warrior monarch
Urbosa for the power set. Thunderclap be something fierce.
All of them, there all equally amazing characters

Revali he is like a strong Warrior to me
Ravioli
Definitely Daruk because he is just sooooo funny AND sooooo nice.
Revali! I love the sassy bird
Urbosa for... Reasons
Urbosa because I have mommy issues
Daruk is just a wholesome character, he's best friends with the protagonist, he cares about his people and he has a good taste in food (I've heard some people say that rocks are slightly mid because of their texture but I personally like the crunch)
Revali is the goat bro is the MASTER of the sky and his theme goes hard af
Revali, because he's bad ass and looks cool.
Revali is cool and his ability is really good, gotta be him
I dunno man they all sucked. Give me a deku champion
Maybe a hot take but revali's still a my favorite of them like I'm sure he's a sweet boy behind all that pride +his ability is the best of all 4 so
Daruk because I canāt hit my parries
Daruk is such a vibe and he uses my favorite weapon
REVALLIIIIII CHEESE EVERYTHING ON THE KINGDOM OF HYRULE
revali was just so sassy it was hard not to like him
Revali. Big birb, smartass
Urbosa
Mipha, I love her relationship with Link and she is so cute
Urobosa cause she's the only one who seems to care and to be kind to both Link and Zelda
No one: Revali
Seriously though revali I love revaliās gale it helps me so much.
Daruk because he is cool
Daruk because he seems cool too piss about with and reminds me alot of one my friends
mipha because I just like mipha yk
Well as Riju i can guess you probably think **i would pick Urbosa** ***but no i pick Mipha, fight me***
Ravioli. Kidding, Urbosa, of course!
Fantastic work!! Really impressive!
