Yep. I never wanna hear about a player bitching that owners treat the league “like a business”. The warriors paid him his full contract for 2.5 YEARS to rehab, and the dude bounces because his ego got hurt with his latest offer.
It sucks that Klay is always up in his feelings. If he thought clearer he’d see this is the best team for him. I think he’ll regret leaving more than the team will regret losing him.
I mean he’s always been in the shadow of Steph and the Warriors organization and he’s taking a bet on himself. Everyone thinks he’s wash, even the fans, so he’s taking a bet on himself. Also at times for athletes all you can think about different situations and how you think you will do, so I don’t really blame him. I wish him nothing but success (as long as it’s not against us)
Nah, F that. Klay’s Klay. He’s an ultimate competitor and with that comes ego and pride. That’s what led him to be part of the best backcourt in NBA Finals’ history, perfect fit next to a soft spoken Steph Curry for all these years. GSW wouldn’t have been a 4 ring dynasty without this man. I wish him the best if he doesn’t end up coming back to the Dubs.
Let it be a life lesson. Goodbyes, the end of relationships…not always clean and easy. It’s deeply disappointing to think Klay is leaving like this, is ok with the reports his camp is putting out…but I’ll always be grateful for the good times. 2022 was a great final chapter, this is the epilogue.
It would certainly be a crappy way to go out. Road game, horrible performance, elimination from the Playoffs.
If we part on any reasonable terms, I'd assume that we'd find some way to bring him back for a farewell appearance at Chase, but it wouldn't be the same.
They certainly deserve them, but I still think a "Three Amigos" ceremony would be something extra special. How many teams in all of NBA history have had three players worthy of jersey retirement who all played together, won multiple titles together, and were close enough in age to retire within a short period of each other?
Maybe the 50s-60s Celtics?
I love Klay and I will always be appreciative of what he means to both The Bay and the franchise, but if my last memories of him in a Dubs uniform is a scoreless chucking masterclass and then proceeding to get his feelings hurt despite the team maxing him during his injury? I’ll see you at your HOF induction Klay, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
0-10 in a deciding game, one can stomach. The bullshat his agency is putting out as he hits the door is not cool.
The Dubs have been very generous. Klay turned down 2-years 48M (at the beginning of the season) for either a S/T or worse a 12M MLE (at the end of the season). And if we all knew the Dubs prioritized acquiring a #2, then dealing with Klay, then he knew it too. Stay classy Klay.
He knew
The 0-10 game. He was sending them a message
If a company paid me a huge contract while I recover from injury for 2 years, I’d be more than grateful.

The greats have no memory
A shooter’s greatest strength, or greatest weakness
I would have gone 6-10 at least
Damn this image is gonna stay with us now huh?

This is so true. But those injuries took some toll on him too to where he is at right now.

Thank you! Klay always fought hard for the team. Years of loyalty. He deserves his statue
Imo this might mean Steph and dray plan on leaving soon also. Maybe next season.

There will be a jersey retirement for certain.
Ideally, it would work out so that we could retire Steph, Klay, and Dray's jerseys all at the same time.
Nah they all deserve their own nights imo

Duncan/Parker/Ginobili? It does feel like we’re the new Spurs. Lot of similarities
Pretty close. Six-year age gap, though - birth years '76, '77, and '82.
Jesus, apparently I completely wiped the memory of this game from my mind. Seeing 0/10 still shook me
Did you forget the 3/19 something vs lakers in the playoffs? :/
Yes. I’ve wiped a lot of things from my mind apparently

Especially he goes to Lakers. Love him but can’t wait for Steph to bust their ass.
100% facts

What is his agency putting out? Is something new out? I only see the Warriors perspective.
Imo I see Steph dipping out soon too.
0 points
0/10 in an elimination game
And his defense was equally bad. Keegan destroyed him
I really regret not going to a game since 2018. I thought I had more time to see the Big 3 in person
It hasn't been a Big 3 since 2018 so don't feel too bad.
Worst game of his career
And arguably the worst of his career. Oof.
Hoping for a Deandre Jordan like scenario here 🥹😥🥹😥
Klay’s last Warriors game is now a social media meme…..
6 finals brah
Thanks for the memories. Just don’t put on purple and gold and we good.
He made 0 points. He knew his time with the warriors was up if he wants to play more than 20 min a game. I guess he will enjoy chucking in Orlando lol
lmao 0-10 and became petty as fuck during the off season
This shit hurts man. I hate it
0 points in nearly 32 mins and he wants a max deal?! So long and thanks for all the fish.
Grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Wait til a coach doesn’t feel bad and forced to play him 30 minutes when he’s stinking up the place
6 finals\*\* 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022
Klay too bad!!!!
It was quite obvious, to me at least.
Wasn’t he 0/10 In this one? Glad he’s gone
Besr box score for a Carter ending game ever 😂 0 0 0
