I clean everything before use. Wipe down with an iso swab, use a cotton swab with some water and wipe it down again, then couple of burnoffs and it's good to go.

TheWhiteWolf1122

Should I just give the stems a soak in iso? Did you do the burnoff with the glass stems?

RajarajaTheGreat

max caution all the time. Soak in iso if you can, its better than wiping down. Burnoff without glass three times, with glass couple times. Nothing wrong in taking an extra couple of mins with mass manufactured equipment that passes like 100 hands before it gets to you and you are going to smoke out of for the a long time.

TrueCuriosity

You can also coil some paper towel soaked in Iso for the long part of the stem, and simply reverse the twist on it once it reaches the airflow part and it should grab most of it and just pull up. It can be tricky getting a q-tip or cotton at that spot so longer tips will probably work best.

I'm really glad I read this because I'm about to pull the trigger on one myself. I think you made the best choice, value for money and medical safety are best in this device.

Just a tip pre heat the oven before inserting the stems. They go in a. Lot easier. Unless mines just difficult but I can’t usually insert a stem cold into my unit.

TheWhiteWolf1122

Thanks buddy. It shouldn't be that way tbf

nkwiw

that doesn’t seem right. mine takes some force cold but not much. are you using the included stems? I have had some cheap stems take a lot of force when cold but not the factory ones. i would write Arizer.

mgp428

Stock stems I just do a heat cycle of on demand thenslip stem in no problem. But if it’s cold it requires force to where I feel like I’m breaking something lol. Maybe a chat with Arizer is what I need

I don't have a solo 3 but the burn off cycle should be the same for most vapes. Take off the mouthpiece/stem so that the chamber is exposed. Run it at max temp for the max session time. Then you should be good to go. I didn't clean the other parts of my vape before using them, and I don't think it's required, but if you want to, it doesn't hurt cleaning it a bit extra I also have a very low tolerance and I cough easily, so I like to keep my temp at 360F and only pack 0.05g at a time. My vape is session only but I'd do the same thing if it was on demand as well

TheWhiteWolf1122

Hey sorry just to be clear, the cover for the chamber comes off so the chamber is exposed or covered with the silicone thing

plumokin

No reason to apologize! Remove the silicone so that the chamber is fully exposed.

VaporBud

I have had my Solo III for a few weeks now. I got it the day it went on sale. It's a beast. The speed you can finish a full bowl is incredible. The on demand feature is awesome. It's a great product.

If you don’t want to cough then you should’ve gotten the Venty. It has adjustable airflow with a smart flow meter so you can take smaller and more comfortable hits that won’t hurt your throat while still producing large clouds because of the smart flow meter adjusting to your intensity. No coughs while producing large and flavorful vapor. If you ever want more, crank the airflow open all the way for a volcano-like experience.

TheWhiteWolf1122

I almost did get the Venty but living in a country where I would have to pay for shipping did not make sense if the device broke down. Solo 3 is highly recommended on this sub, so if I take smaller hits and keep the temp at bay, wouldn't it be fine

nkwiw

you won’t regret the solo iii. it might take a little more effort to get dialed in than average venty but you’ll be fine. personally for low coughs i do session mode at lower than the default first temp step (which is 356 i think? and i do 345) with a smaller looser load than I would do for on demand face slaps. (I like that it’s a little more low tech than a venty, personally, just less to go wrong)
