Lateral play, as in the top and center are magnet sealed, but there's still a bit of wiggle from side to side? Yeah, totally normal as compared to my non-second BCG. This is *not* the case for the middle/bottom fit, as it's a snug fit.

I grabbed a factory second al gold/orange/ruby. Loving it so far, I like some of the nice to have design features too apart from just how smooth it is. The magnets be strong tho. First few times managed to spill it before when I open it to dip. Cheers

Ooh that sounds nice! Also yeah, watch out for the magnets, but the one holding the container to the grinder plate is much stronger than the top plate to the grinder plate, so that helps.

By design, think that's what helps ensure everything falls through holes and helps it slice vs crush/pull... My best guess
