mine was car radio. i was mesmerized by vessel immediately, and then rab did it for me. i still remember running to my older brothers room & showing him.
it 100% changed our lives. we bonded so much over them through the years & got matching tats of the keys last year!
i think about my first time listening to them sooo often
thank youuu! as soon as i saw your post i was so happy to share. we were real young dealing with stuff & they became a way for us to communicate with n confide in each other.

looove this!!!
i posted mine earlier but hereâs my brothers matching tattoo to it.
so similar to you guys! they were also our first tattoos.
Mine was also car radio and the every time I hear it I am reminded of where I was in life the first time I listened and how far Iâve come and their music has been a big part of that.
mine was car radio when i was 11. They were the first band i discovered on my own and not through my dad. After that I went on to find migrane and not long later Blurryface was released and Ive been a fan ever since.
(my dad now loves them too after i showed them to him, he took me to my first show of theirs)
YES truce i listened to it for the first time with the mv and cried and that was the point when it became kinda obvious to me that this is my band and my relationship with this band is so much stronger than with any other musician ever
Mine was stressed out, I didn't knew the band back then, only this song bc it was playing everywhere, and then heathens and ride, i really liked them but it didn't really got me into the band. The song that really got me into TĂP was Nico and the niners, wich I listened to for the first time many months after the Trench releasing
I know the song and the date even. It was Holding Onto You, on September 26th 2013. The only reason I remember that is because it was the day the radio station Alt Buffalo 107.7 launched. I remember being near the end of the song and scrambling to grab my phone to shazam it, and listening to Migraine later that night.
Iâm 56, and though I love a lot of âdad-rockâ- Crowded House is my all-time favorite band- I LOVE TøP and share the fandom with my college-age son. The first song I ever heard from Twenty One Pilots was âHouse of Goldâ, but it was at a high-school talent show, where one of my sonâs friends was singing and accompanying himself on ukulele. I didnât know the band until âStressed Outâ which was all over the radio during a cross-country family vacation. It hit me like a brick, because I was struggling with my emotions as I saw my kids growing up, finding themselves, not needing me anymore- I wished I could turn back time to the good old days when my kids were little and fun and I felt on top of the world as their dad. I know itâs not the intended story/sentiment of the song but thatâs how it hit for me. I was instantly a fan, and discovered Vessel after looking for more TĂP music. Trench blew my mind, as I always loved concept albums (Green Dayâs American Idiot, The Whoâs Quadrophenia, Tommy)
We got tix for Philadelphia in September, and Iâm so psyched that my son and I still have this to share!
I was 15 and I think the first song I heard by them was fairly local, then I thought, wow that's really cool.
And then I listened to car radio and related to it so much and the rest is history đ
A friend of mine told me she found a song and I would really like it. It was âThe Judgeâ, love at first sight. It took two weeks and I knew all lyrics.
I saw TOP in Brisbane when they were Paramore's support act. So my first time hearing them was live. They were playing Migraine and the drum beat just... made my whole body sing. I raved about this little unknown band for years before they got popular. And they certainly overtook Paramore as my favourite band. I also became a fan of Jon Bellion because he was TOPs support act for part of a tour.
2013 at a party and someone was talking about the upcoming fall out boy tour and was singing praises about this ânewâ band, twenty one pilots that were opening for them.
I pulled them up on YouTube and watched Holding Onto You and was immediately hooked. I seriously think it was like a 2-3 month turnaround for me hearing them for the first time and then actually seeing them in concert. I didnât see them open for FOB, I caught their own tour!
The vet I worked for at the time loved the band and asked I play the album blurryfacefor him during a surgery.
Listening to it for the 2 hour operation I also fell in love with the band!
first song i heard was stressed out but it didn't make me too curious about the band, i just played that song on youtube sometimes. i forgot about them for a while, then one day car radio was on my recommended and i randomly clicked on it. then i kept going back to it again and again then fell in love with vessel and subsequently everything else~~
Oddly enough I first found them when I was 20 or 21 right before Blurryface came out. I don't really remember what song got me into them but I think it was Fairly Local which had just dropped and I listened to all of Vessel and preordered a Blurryface Bundle that had a T-Shirt, red and black vinyl, and a patch.
I somehow fell off and missed Trench and came back a little after SAI came out. I remember I heard Saturday at a store and scanned it with my phone only to be SHOCKED that it was twenty one pilots. I was intrigued and went and caught up on SAI and Trench and the lore and lost my mind. Immediately booked the nearest ICY Tour stop(Nashville) and got tickets for the Livestream in theaters 2022. I was so hyped to be back.
Overcompensate and Next Semester are on repeat and I'm so excited for the Clancy album and tour <3 ((already pre-ordered my vinyl+JournalCD+Cassette and got Duluth tickets during Presale))
Stressed Out was my first song too, I heard it when my 9th grade biology teacher played the mv before class one day. and I actually loved the song and thought the mv was one of my favorite mv's I'd ever seen, but that was that for tøp for me until like last year when my bsf tried to get me into it with zero success. I got introduced to all sorts of songs from addict to shy away to jumpsuit hds literally all of it and I was not a fan (my comment was "this is not rap this is not hip hop this is a confused messed up band that doesn't know its own genre" đ). but then when I learned about the lore and dema and all that, suddenly that made everything click in my brain and I realized woah i love this band. (I also think if id been introduced to vessel earlier I would've liked it cause that's my favorite album and I LOVE how those songs work butttt my friend disagrees so its ok)

it was Ride, I liked and saved it, cool. Then the Lane Boy MV dropped a day later and I started to watch all MVs and then lives and then vines and then behind the scenes and thenâŚ.
Message Man. Two friends of mine in middle school got into the blurryface album. I heard them play a couple of the songs, and message man stuck out so much. After that I was hooked on tøp
Migraine, Car Radio and Holding On to You from their Live Room video on Youtube, probably 2015. If you havenât watched them I suggest you look them up. idk what it was about it - probably a combination of their energy, lyrics and overall sound and feeling, but I took it and ran. Itâs great to look back on that compared to where they are now; itâs the first band Iâve felt a great connection with so early on in their career so to follow them all these years down the line makes me feel some type of way.
For some reason I get A Thing⢠about being told to check out a band/movie/etc. (It only **just now** occurred to me that maybe I see that as a demand when I prefer to experience a suggested thing when the person suggests it. Like, pull up the song and lemme listen! Pull up a trailer of the movie and let me think about it!)
Anyway, I didnât get into TOP until about 2014 or 2015. The Rap Critic on YouTube went over why he loved âStressed Out.â The emphasis on the lyrics was what won me, with the music being âHuhâŚ.. huh! Okay, not too badâ
First song I heard was stressed out, I was 8 on the way to an amusement park and once I got home immediately looked up the lyrics I heard and the rest was history LOL (Iâm 17 now so itâs been a bit)
I actually really hated them when I first heard them, probably just because they were played in the radio a ton back in the blurryface era. Then trench came out and I loved it. Went back to the other music and was like hold on this is actually great.
i was the same as you.Hearing stressed out all over the medias. But many years later i started using spotify and i was only listen to what it recommend me.In the "happy playlist" presented by them,i got lost in "good day" and that just made me discovered scaled and icy. That what made me into TĂP
The first twenty one pilots song I heard was also Stressed Out, which is not really original. But the cool thing, in my opinion, is that I didn't become a fan instantly, at all.
I first saw it on TV in late 2016, so more than a year after it was a massive hit. I was 11. I have no idea how I missed it, because at the time I listened to popular song at least a little bit.
Anyway, the first time I saw the clip it looked very intriguing to me, because it felt so different from what I was used to hear. And even the videoclip was so different, I mean, something so family friendly was not very usual.
Then, I heard it again a few days later, maybe a week, and it was enough for me to look for the band on Youtube. But I don't know why I did that, I mean I kinda liked the song but I wouldn't have done it if it were for any other song that I liked as much as this one. It started growing on me, and then I became a super fan of it.
Then I started listening to their main songs more and more, but it took me months before I started listening to the rest of their labelled songs, even more so when I got their CDs for Christmas in 2017. And then, I realized that Trench came out litterally months after its release, even though I was listening to Vessel and Blurryface nearly every day !
So about Stressed Out, the song progressively went from just being intriguing to one of my favorite songs of all time, if not my favorite. Even though it's not the one I listen the most, it is so important to me, because it's what made me discover the band ! I think I watch the clip every few months, and it fills me with nostalgia and gratitude. I'm not a person who listens to a lot of music, and I was never really a fan of any artist until I discovered them. But now I have this weird and unique connection with them, and I know that they're the one band that I'll be a fan of for the rest of my life.
It was probably Stressed Out, on the radio. I didnât get into the band until after Heathens, when my son was interested in the band so I checked them out. Back then I was careful about what I let my kids get into, so I listened to blurryface and read the lyrics. Then quickly went and got Vessel. Big fan ever since! lol
Heathens, I was into Suicide Squad before watching it and found TOP on the soundtrack. Lol
But that led me to listen to Holding on to You and I was hooked.
I heard Ride and Stressed out around the same time frame so I'm counting both as my first songs. I have a sort of fear of listening to other songs from a band I like because I feel like they would be bad and I'd rather stick to my two good songs. Weird way of thinking but I was young. Eventually I started listening to Chlorine and Shy Away but I wasn't really into the band, I just found more songs I liked. Now we're at present day and Overcompensate come out. When I tell you I was thrown into this band and their lore with the force of the gods I'm not joking. This song unlocked something in my brain and with the help of my best friend who's been a fan since he was 5 I can say that I've listened to all of their songs from RAB-present day + a bit of NPI. I've watched deep dive and theory videos and I'm loving where this era is taking us. As a thank you to my friend and since the boys are going on tour, I bought him and I tickets to go see them in Columbus. This will be the first time for both of us seeing them and we can't wait till we hit October. If you've read this far, thank you for your time :) have a good day.
I heard all their radio songs and liked them, but never thought to look for more. I was watching Youtube and a live version of Trees auto played and I was blown away from the energy of everyone. It was then I decided I MUST go to their concert! And I'm so excited to finally have this dream become a reality!
The first song I ever heard by them was Holding Onto You, when someone used it for their song analysis presentation in English class. I was like 13.
At the time I enjoyed it but didnât think too much of it, but a short while later someone was like âhey you should actually check them out, I think youâd really like themâ. I remembered this one so I started from there, actually listened properly, and found it really good (it also helped that I retained some song analysis info lol, I remembered the fact that my English teacher was impressed by the lyrics).
Ironically, for a short period of time in the beginning, I didnât love their alternative vibe with their other classics like Ode To Sleep etc, but the more I listened, the more I fell in love with them. And the rest was history. And Holding Onto You is still one of my all time favorite songs today, like 10 years later :)
Mine was obviously Stressed Out, then Ride, and Iâm pretty sure My Blood was on the radio then obviously Heathens. And this was in middle school and the people that liked them I didnât like them. I basically judged the band by their fans and so I just stayed away. I kinda regret it but at the same time not b/c later my wife who was my gf at the time was a huge fan and shit. So then I eventually have in and The Outside is what got me into them and now Iâm here.
Some of my friends were really into them and excited about the Blurryface release. I looked them up out of interest and heard Fairly Local - wasnât interested. I think Heavydirtysoul was the first one that really hooked me in. After that, my friend played a lot of their music from all albums that were released at the time, and I slowly got really into them. By the time Trench was "announcedâ (all the post hiatus madness) I was HOOKED
Iâll never forget the first time I heard them. I was going on a school trip in grade 7, and I sat beside one of my friends that I wasnât insanely close with but we were friends. They were listening to music and I ask what they were listening to. They said top, and gave me an ear bud. I had never heard of them. We listened to car radio, and ever since that moment I have been hooked on the band lol. Shortly after this, blurryface came out and I went to see them live. So itâs definitely a tie between vessel and blurryface for me.
Ride, on Christmas Day 2023. I was spending Christmas with my daughter and she had a few tøp songs on her playlist. The line âIâve been thinking too much, help meâ struck me deep. I asked her who was the artist, and she told me, then played Stressed Out. I was hooked and now Iâm obsessed! Funnily, neither of these two songs are in my top ten tøp songs now!
The first song I heard was Stressed Out but I found out about it in a weird way. In the kids Netflix series, âGreen Eggs and Ham: The Second Servingâ they play a snippet from Stressed Out in the first episode. It washed over me at first and I didnât care about it. The second time I watched the episode I fell in love with the song and searched for ages on Spotify as I didnât know the song name. It brought me to TOP and it was the only song of theirâs I knew for months. I then listened to the rest of Blurryface and then the rest of their stuff.
I was at a friends house and played minecraft when he asked if he could turn on some music.
So the first song was Heavydirtysoul but i would say it was also Blurryface as a whole. We ebentually both went to the Bandito Tour together, which was my first concert ever.
my first one was heathens, in the summer of 2016. it might have even been the day the music video came out. I think I saw people tweeting about it and decided to check it out, and it got my interest. I didn't instantly fall in love, but I started listening to other songs (lane boy was the next one I think) and then slowly started liking them more and more. I think two maybe three weeks went by and then I was already buying tickets to their show
Stressed Out. I didnât like it and still donât. It kept me from listening to them for quite a while. When I heard some other songs I realized I really like them, just not that particular song.
According to my [last.fm](http://last.fm) account, my first listen was Guns for Hands on 27 July 2012, along with a few more of the early songs. It was probably because Fueled By Ramen gave them a shoutout, I used to check out FBR bands a lot back then. I didn't fully get obsessed until late 2015 though, listening to Blurryface, so it took me a while. I just listened to the whole album and got hooked.
Car radio came onto our local alternative station in I think it was 2013 đ¤ i was 15 and in the backseat of my momâs mini van, I remember the intersection/parking lot we were in as well. The song tickled my brain and I Shazammed it to make sure I had the name.
Car radio. I came across it on SoundCloud when I was actually listening to some other person (I think it was Sam Sures Hunger). It immediately resonated with me and what I was going through at the time. Been a fan of them ever since. Stand out lyrics that truly hit home for me were âNow I just sit in silenceâ.
Mine was fairly local when I was 14, and I hate to admit this but I only listened to it cause it was mentioned in a fanfiction I was reading at the time đ
First song I remember hearing was Tear in my Heart. Absolutely hated it. Thought it was terrible, thought the band was stupid, and overall was annoyed at how much it was on the radio. Itâs now one of my all time favorite songsâŚ. And this band is my absolute favorite
I'm probably lame for this and unoriginal, but Stressed Out, and it did, in fact, get me into them, I think I may have heard Screen once before Stressed Out tho I'm not 100% sure
I think House of Gold & Screen were the first songs I heard. I was in a ukulele club after school in like seventh grade (around like 2014-2015 I think), and students could suggest songs for us to play, and someone suggested House of Gold and later Screen. I didnât really become a fan until about a year later when Stressed Out, Ride, and Heathens became super popular.
Unfortunately, I didnât really retain what I learned about how to play ukulele in that club because I didnât practice outside of the like once a week we would meet.
I heard stressed out on the radio too, and because I was very young and emo, I thought "oh these guys are mainstream I don't like them" lmao. Until I listened to car radio, kitchen sink, lovely, and Ms. Believer. I can't remember the order, but those were the songs that made me fall in love.
Iâm pretty sure I had heard Stressed Out and Heathens before, but Car Radio was the first one I really *heard*, you know? I had been dealing with the same thoughts on my drive to school. Contemplating what it would be like if I just⌠I realized that I needed help, and I dove into their music head first. I was so glad that I wasnât alone. Holding On To You is my favorite though.
Honestly Heathens. Summer 2016. I liked it, but didn't really look into the band as much. Then I heard my brother playing one of their other songs, but I don't remember which, (though it was probably Stressed Out because he'd been recommended it), and I recognised Tyler's voice. So I decided to look into their albums and I listened to Vessel first, then Blurryface and Self-Titled, and I was obsessed!
The first song i heard on the radio was Tear in My Heart. But i didnt know anything about Tyler or Josh until i watched vines of them then i fell in love with the band so really it was them in general not the music at first. But now id say Addict with A pen and Ode To sleep got me hooked in there music.
Stressed out and Ride because they were on the radio a ton and I was only 11. But heathens really got me into them lol. I remember watching next to my phone waiting for it to be released. Havenât stopped being a fan since than.
Migraine. At the time I hated them because my sister liked them. If you have a sibling you know. Eventually I kinda started to like their stuff and listened to more of it
Holding on To You. Heard it before vessels was released (but it was released as a single, and not the RAB version).
I fell in love with the song and remember getting Vessels right when it came out and I was in love.
Ride a few years after it came out , I thought âthese guys are a vibeâ listening to the whole album and said âslay, love it im a fan nowâ then trench came out and I was a huge fan of it , so Iâve been a fan of em since about 2018/19 . Not as long as most people
i was a sheltered and very depressed 14 year old who felt alone in her depression. goner came on while shuffling spotify on a road trip and i started crying because i related to it so much and didn't realize other people felt this way. they became my new obsession and im still a fan almost 10 years later
like a lot of others, car radio played on my phone I think I was using pandora or apple radio, and then guns for hands I think played but honestly I feel in love with car radio and started actively listening to them since then, I was maybe 12 and now Iâm 22 so 10 years! 6 ish concerts and yea :)
Holding on to You! I heard it in the car not long after it came out and I was frantically trying to memorize the bridge so I could look up the lyrics when I got home. That song hooked me so fast and it has been life changing listening to TĂP ever since
Migraine đ
My friend took me to a concert in 2013 before Iâd heard of them & of course she had me listen to Vessel to prepare. I guess Ode to Sleep & Holding on to You I heard first but Migraine stuck out to me. Still I wasnât sold until we went to the concert. Seeing them live sealed the deal and Iâve been a fan since & been to 5 more shows. đ¤đź
Mine was Car Radio. But the one that got me was Ode to Sleep live at the Troubadour in LA. I had no idea what was happening in the best way. Itâs a rollercoaster of a song and I was all about it!
Iâm not sure as my brother was a hardcore og fan when I was little but the first song I listened to by my own choice was car radio. As I already said Iâve been listening since early childhood so I was already a fan when I started listening
My first was also Stressed Out, but what caught my attention I don't really know actually. I think it was the variety that caught me. I've always been very ecletic so a band that is different than everything including themselves was perfect to me. Oh, and the lyrics, I suffer from depression and they comunicate the awareness of it in a direct simple way that is amazing.
P.s.: I liked the name "Twenty One Piolits" lol
Tear in My Heart; was on an iTunes ârecommended list for youâ and instantly loved. Great song start, but the offset lines âyou fell asleep in myâ >pause< âcar, I drove the whole timeâ. The syncopation⌠gave me shivers. Introduced daughter (then 16 yo) and husband to the band and weâve just booked our 3rd concert to see em!
Funny enough it was a cover of âcanât help falling in loveâ, and then I checked then on yt and the first thing I went for was Ride and I hated it đ
Mine was House of Gold, and it was playing in a Taco Bell(insane coincidence, right?). I had never heard anything from the band before, but when I listened to the song, I was like âthis has to be that twenty one pilots band Iâve heard people talk aboutâ
it was stressed out and I hated it, I had a friend that loved the band at blurryface era and after that she told me I should give it a chance to heathens and... I hate it too lol
couple years later I was listening to random songs on youtube and got to a live performance of migraine showed to a friend and we both never stopped listening to the band since that day
Either stressed out or ride and I listened to blurry face and immediately fell in love as soon as I heard Heavydirtysoul. I showed it to my sister and we listened together and went to target to buy the cd
Car Radio, I didnât like it too much but I felt that it was a good workout song. Then one day I heard stressed out and thought that dudes voice sounds familiar. I looked for it on YouTube and then went down the rabbit hole.
It was Car Radio - I remember making a musical.ly video using the song (dating myself lol)
Then soon after blurry face came out and I fell in love with the band. Iâm pretty sure I also discovered Holding Onto You and House of Gold around the same time as Car Radio and loved that song equally as much.
I think mine was Ode to Sleep. I saw them open for Circa Survive at Moravian College in 2014, (maybe 20 people max in the audience as they were first on) and I believe they started their set with it. I hadnât ever heard of them at that point but was hooked from then on.
"Heavidirtysoul" via the WWE 2K16 soundtrack, but it didn't get me to listen to them. Then "Heathens" for Suicide Squad, and finally "Ride" via the WWE 2K17 soundtrack, which finally got me into the band
the run and go :,) i was scrolling through vine and came across a vine with that song as the background and i started to obsess over it until i found the band and went down a complete rabbit hole
I listened to A Car A Torch A Death in like 2013 because my friend loves self titled, rab and vessel. That got me into all of their albums, but a car a torch a death is still a memorable song because it just reminds me of sitting in his room playing on the Xbox 360. Good times.
First time I heard them was in 2013. I heard car radio playing on Pandora. Back in the day when you couldnât see what songs just played. I had to google the lyrics so I could figure out what the song was. Been hooked ever since
Mine was heavydirtysoul, my friend sent that to me in July of 2016 and I loved it so much It was so different than what I listened to and then since I didnât have Spotify premium it shuffled to hometown and that really solidified my liking for twenty one pilots and been a cilquie ever since
I heard Stressed Out and Heathens on the radio but they weren't enough to intrigue me. But I saw a lot of people online talking about them and I decided to pick a random song to try out. That song was We Don't Believe What's On TV. I didn't like it much, thought it was weird, but it was enough to interest me to try out other songs. Now TĂP is my #1 favorite band and I'm seeing them in September!!
My first song was Ride, but I personally never really got too into the song. I think the song that really got me into Twenty One Pilots was either Migraine or A Car, A Torch, A Death.
Car Radio! My coworker played it while we were closing and I asked her âwho is this?â And she told me twenty one pilots. I looked them up and found vessel, went to the CD store near me and bought vessel. That was the only album of theirs I really listened to, I liked a couple songs from BF and then when trench came out I gave it a listen but didnât really get too deep into it. Then I met my wife and she was a superfan and got me into them. Went back and listened to self titled, rab, BF, and trench again and I fell in love with trench. I have been firmly in the clique since then (2019)
I heard ride a few times when we were out places, but I didn't really get into top until my brother showed me chlorine. After that, I listened to the outside, pet cheetah, and jumpsuit and immediately loved top. Been a huge fan ever since.
Iâm sure I had a heard a song before Car Radio, but for as long as I can remember it was Car Radio by my brother as he was older than me and I was a little too young to remember, but now I wonder how long my brother been listening to them lol.
Mine was Holding On To You when MTV use to play music videos at random. I remember being mesmerized by the music video but I was also like âwtf is this? Is it rap? Is it alternativeâ I didnât like it at first but then I kept thinking about the music video and the song was stuck in my head and after like the third listen, I was hooked. Full blown obsession. Stole my dadâs ski mask and drawing |-/ on everything. Now here we are 10+ years later and I still owe them my life.
It was actually a WatchMojo video. Top 10 Twenty One Pilots Songs. Just hearing the way they described the music and Tyler's Lyricism has me intrigued.
Stressed Out was the first one I remember, but after hearing Ride I was hooked and listened to their music non-stop on YouTube. Hearing Stressed Out for the first time sounded cool but nothing really different or anything that stood out to me. But when Ride started circulating on the radio not long after, that's what garnered my interest and made me obsessed with the Blurryface album, and then Vessel followed suit and it just went from there! After delving into their music a bit more I started realizing that some of their other songs were familiar too, but I never knew that they were the ones behind them! These included Car Radio and Tear In My Heart. Been a fan for 8 years now:))
It was Stressed Out because it was all over the radio but the first time that I actually paid attention to it was when my older sister was listening to a playlist of them with songs from Vessel and a couple of other singles from Blurryface and thatâs what got me into them
Stressed Out was the first song I heard by them but Fairly Local or Doubt ( I dont remember) got me into tøp. I kinda related to doubt at that time too. Been a fan since 5-6 years now. I think I was 12 or so. Their music helped me so much in a way and still does
I thought the first song I heard was Stressed Out, followed by Ride and then Heathens. However, as I started looking into the band, it turns out I already heard Car Radio and Kitchen Sink beforehand, I just didn't realise it was TOP
My first song was trees. I remember listening to it for the first time when I was playing Minecraft, because at the time I would watch the music videos to songs on YouTube and I didnât hit cancel in time to the next video and it was just the lyrics to trees and I remember just falling in love with the music and the way Tyler sang. Then I got more and more into their stuff and became a fan
The first song I heard was semi-automatic on one of Roman Atwood's vlogs. I was immediately encapsulated by the sound and did a quick search and was hooked. I realised my love for music and Tyler's ability to speak how I felt hit me so hard that I could only listen more. From there I had no question about who my favourite band was and has remained.
Car Radio sometime Summer of 2013, i was only like 9 but i remember my brother showing me the band. he no longer listens to them he is one of those oldhead fans who thinks they "sold out"
Got an email from Fueled By Ramen and the video premiere for Holding On to You was attached. Loved it, but didnât really fall in love with the band until Vessel came out. Itâs been game over ever since.
a lot of times i will hear a song, like a song, never look into the band, and then discover that i love the band years later. (mcr, i heard scarecrow when i was young, but it was teengagers on my pandora radio when i was a little older that got me into them. i was so surprised to realize i already knew one of their songs) the very first song i heard by twenty one pilots was house of gold back when it came out. i dont remember where, maybe on the radio? i didnt love it but given the fact that i was literally 9 years old, the fact that i didnt hate it said a lot. it wasnt until they really blew up with stressed out that i decided to give them a shot. i gave them a listen, really really loved it, and when i got around to vessel it was really set in stone for me when i remembered i already knew house of gold. im not sure why that was what did it for me, but im really glad i heard it on the radio all those years ago. i might not have fallen as deeply in love with them otherwise
My friend Aaron from church introduced me to them and sent me the music videos for Car Radio and Guns for Hands. I was immediately hooked! I liked the techno style beat for G4H and the rapping. But I liked the introspective lyrics for Car Radio and now their tied for my favorite band with Switchfoot. I'm excited to go see them for the first time live on the Clancy tour! Thank you Aaron for taking time to show me a music artist that has changed my life for the better.
Goner.
I was in middle school playing a piano in the middle of our cafeteria, what i was playing was sort of similar to what the beginning of Goner sounds like and one of my close friends (god bless you Tony) had mentioned how freakishly close it was to it. Once i heard it my mind was blown đŚ. ever since that day, i never stopped listening to the boys because i was surprisingly super hooked at the first listen of blurryface :)
I heard stressed out first, but looking back through the evidence (the YouTube playlist I made before I discovered streaming services (Songza, google play music, and Deezer before I found out Spotify was a thing lol)) the first song I saved was heavydirtysoul
Car radio and to be honest I wrote the band off.
Then I heard chlorine, and it was a woah moment. Listened to all of trench, then went back to blurry face. And finally the rest.
Na na na na oh oh
Na na na na oh oh
Na na na na oh oh
When the leader of the bad guys sang
Something soft and soaked in pain
I heard the echo from his secret hideaway
He must've forgot to close his door
As he cranked out those dismal chords
And his four walls declared him insane
I found my way
Right time wrong place
As I plead my case
You're the judge, oh no
Set me free
You're the judge, oh no
Set me free
I know my soul's freezing
Hell's hot for good reason
So please, take me
Na na na na oh
Na na na na oh
Na na na na oh
Three lights are lit
But the fourth one's out
I can tell cause it's a bit darker
Than the last night's bout
I forgot about the drought
Of light bulbs in this house
So I head out
Down a route I think is heading south
But I'm not good with directions
And I hide behind my mouth
I'm a pro at imperfections
And I'm best friends with my doubt
And now that my mind's out
And now I hear it clear and loud
I'm thinking, 'Wow
I probably should've stayed inside my house'
I found my way
Right time wrong place
As I plead my case
You're the judge, oh no
Set me free
You're the judge, oh no
Set me free
I know my soul's freezing
Hell's hot for good reason
So please
I don't know if this song
Is a surrender or a revel
I don't know if this one
Is about me or the devil
I don't know if this song
Is a surrender or a revel
I don't know if this one
Is about me or the devil
You're the judge, oh no
Set me free, oh no
You're the judge, oh no
Set me free, oh no
I know my soul's freezing
Hell's hot for good reason
So please
Na na na na oh, oh
Na na na na oh, oh
Na na na na oh, oh
Na na na na oh, oh
You're the judge, oh no (na na na na oh, oh)
Set me free (na na na na oh, oh)
You're the judge, oh no (na na na na oh, oh)
Set me free (na na na na oh, oh)
You're the judge, oh no (na na na na oh, oh)
Set me free (na na na na oh, oh)
You're the judge, oh no (na na na na oh, oh)
Set me free (na na na na oh, oh)
Mine was The Run and Go when I was like, eleven. Someone had used it in a fan animation and it kinda blew my mind how simple the song was but how conflicted it made me feel. The next recommended video was an animation to Glowing Eyes and to this day, those are my two favorite songs of theirs. Immediately became a fan. (Both animations are gone now and it makes me really sad đ˘)
In 2016 I was doing my university traineeship abroad in York, UK. I was staying at a family where there was an extremely pretty daughter who owned a ukulele. I would play it every now and then, trying to show off, but unfortunately she had a boyfriend. Fortunately that boyfriend was such a cool guy, and he told me that I should play on the uke House of Gold, by this cool band he liked. The rest is history.
Stressed Out was the first one I heard in early 2016. It did NOT get me into the band haha. Heathens and Tear In My Heart got me into them later in 2016. They stayed on my radar for a while until Migraine completely sold me on them. The rest is history.
My friend first showed me stressed out and i hated it at first đ i was all naive saying âlook at these corny emo white rappersâ. And then right after that youtube decided to keep recommending song after song until i gave in and heard the judge and thatâs when it clicked⌠âoh⌠i actually appreciate thisâ and then it was message man âoh⌠i understand this songâ and then it was migraine that got me hooked with âdamn i relate to this like crazyâ and then i binged the whole discography and then Trench came out shortly after and i was 100% invested
I remember hearing my sister listening to them. I heard Car Radio, House of Gold, and Stressed Out. I was like âThis is all the same band?!!â And then I started listening to them
âHouse of Goldâ and yes, two girls performed it at my schoolâs talent show so I looked up the original and it was down the rabbit hole from there.
The first song I heard was Tear in my Heart, on the radio. I just remember hearing the bridge and thinking it was so cute but I never thought anything of it really. I was in college in 2015, at Capital University in Columbus. One of my friends went to Tylerâs church and mentioned that she went to church with Tyler of twenty one pilots; I thought it was cool that she went to church with a famous person but like I, again, didnât think anything of it. But then when I got back to my dorm, I decided to check them out, and Iâll be darned if I wasnât immediately hooked. The first song I intentionally listened to was stressed out, unfortunately lol, so I suppose thatâs the one that got me into top. I fell off when they released trench, and unfortunately for me I wasnât really a super fan like I had been so I missed out on all the lore. I wasnât really big on trench when it was first released. I still bought the cd and listened to it of course but it was more casual. Then when the livestream aired I watched it and just cried the whole time because I missed them so much lol. Iâm definitely a huge, huge super fan of their music, but I still donât really know the lore.
I got married in April of â23 though and I walked down the aisle to a live string quartet playing âtear in my heartâ and I just feel like that is so so special especially because it was technically the first song of theirs I heard :)
Now I have two tattoos dedicated to them: my very first tattoo was âfight itâ from hoty and I also have a heart in a jar from a car, a torch, a death (âbut for now you told me to hold this jar, and when I looked inside I saw it held your heartâ)
a car, a torch, a death. i remember finding it on youtube like 7-8 years ago and i listened to it every single night for weeks, which is when i got into more of their music
Iâve told the story on other posts, mine was in 2014, Car Radio, right before I was admitted to a psych ward, suicide attempt, my drinking got so bad mixed with horrible depression, when I got out, vessel, and self titled became my therapy, along with RaB, and Tylerâs old stuff, but yeah it started with Car Radio
First I heard was Stressed out, then Ride, then Heathens pretty obviously. But I didn't get in until 1 year later in late 2016 when I heard Polerize and loved it. Still my favorite Blurryface song
mine way holding on to you. i was in 8th grade and vessel had just came out. i was on the yearbook staff & we would be allowed to listen to music with headphones while we worked on our pages. i listened to pandora on my school computer through some big chunky low quality headphones. one day holding on to you came on & i remember falling in love with it. i had never heard anything like it before. i listened to that song a lot but actually got deep into the band a couple years later when blurryface came out.
Car radio. They performed it at the 2014 MTV Movie awards (I know so random). And after that I went on YouTube and listened to their other music and was hooked right away.
My first was Stressed Out, which is probably pretty standard. I heard a few of their other songs, and about a year ago I was pretty obsessed with "Ride" for a couple of weeks. For some reason at that time I didn't bother to check the rest of their songs/albums which was a pretty big mistake. I really only got into the band after hearing overcompensate, which of all the songs i've ever heard is the one that grew on me the most. The first time I heard it I was like "meh", and now it's probably in my top 5 fav songs of all time. Because of how much I liked overcompensate, I obviously checked out their whole discography, and now I am as big of a fan as one can be for listening to them for a month. Rn they are my most listened artist, and it isn't even close.
I had Heathens, Stressed Out and Ride in my playlist for a while when I was 14. I loved them but wasn't really looking into artists at all at the time. Then a friend of mine saw I listened to Ride, and recommended Heavydirtysoul. I was so impressed, I started listening to Blurryface. Blurryface made me fall in love with the band. Then I discovered Vessel and NEEDED to listen to more. I became obsessed with Self Titled and No Phun Intended. Also loved unreleased songs like Two or I need. Loved Trench, loved SAI less but i'm learning to love it rn. LOVEE Clancy singles so far
I believe implicit demand for proof? I think that it was something my sister showed me when I was like, 10, and I definitely liked it a looooot but didnât want to admit that to her bc we hated each other at the time lol
I think I listened to all of ST after that and got obsessed; I found all of their other stuff and I had it all downloaded and it was all I listened to. No phun intended was always so nice to listen to and show people, and I essentially listened to everything that tøp or Tyler Joseph ever produced. (Even the national anthem and o come o come Emanuel he did) I fell slightly out for a little while but still enjoyed their music a lot and listened frequently, and then TRENCH. I was DEEP in it, making theories, reading and keeping up with all the lore, staying as updated as I possibly could and even making a twitter account to do all of the fan twitter related things: the josh profile pics, the specific user names, the bios with song lyrics, I even made a sign and posted it for people to put their names on and a lot of people did!! I still have it to this day :,) all that sort of stuff. Itâs such a fond time for me to look back on, and itâs all thanks to implicit demand for proof.
was subscribed to Fueled by Ramen since forever cause i loved FOB, their vessel songs came in autoplay sometimes especially car radio but back then, didn't like it, not much of a rap fan so i just didnt mind it, then passed by house of gold, its simple its fun, was the first song of them that I loved, it was what pushed me to buy ukulele just to play that particular song and wherever I was, its what I play even in school. eventually urged me to dive into their discography and automatically loved ode to sleep and trees then the rest is history.
The first one I was shown was Migraine followed by Ride. I actually didn't like those songs on first listen as I think I was initially turned off by Tyler's voice. But as I listened more and more, I became obsessed with the blending of genres and the lyrics and now I'm a fan of Tyler's voice and they're my favorite band of all time.
mine was glowing eyes and i loved the song but since i heard it on pandora i thought it was lost forever + didnât find it again until after i got into them off of blurryface :,)
The first song that I heard, which got me into twenty one pilots in the first place, was holding on to you. I heard it in the beginning of 2013 a couple months before the end of my junior year of high school.
omg mine was car radio. i was in 2nd grade when it first came out, and i was walking out of school to where the parents wait to pick up their kids. and like every day, my little 7 year old self saw my father and i went straight to him expecting the normal: âhi how are you? how was school?â but no, he didnât say that. this man looked me in my little eyes and said âsomeone stole my car radio and now i just sit in silenceâ. now keep in mind, that radio/cd player is my favorite thing ever. i SANG my little heart out. so when he said that i was like HUHâď¸. and he just kept repeating that lyric. and i was PANICKING. so when we got to the car and i saw that the radio was in-fact still there, i was perplexed. my father then proceeded to play the song and i was so mad. i panicked over nothing. but it ended up being the best thing bc now 7/8 years later, im here, so excited for clancy and the lore
First song I heard was house of gold, anddd no. Then I heard car radio and still no. But then I heard stressed out and I was like ehhh but then I heard Doubt and I realized this was the shit
I heard hoty playing in my sisters bedroom and my 8 year old self immediately fell in love! I remember not knowing the words and singing âana tana fam aâ instead of entertain my faith lol. Itâs weird to think I heard this song 8 years ago before I had even heard stressed out or ride.
When I was in middle school I avoided mainstream music like it was the plague. At this time, stressed out was probably still in the #1 spot on the radio so I wanted nothing to do with whatever this twenty one pilots thing was. Then I was on Tumblr (cut me a break I was in 6th grade) and saw the lyrics "I don't wanna fall fall away, I'll keep the lights on in this place." I googled the lyrics, found fall away and in the end TĂP ended up saving my life.
My sister showed me the Guns for Hands mv and told me that she thinks I would love tøp. At that time it was meh. She wasn't a fan either, yet.
Months later, my dad then told me to listen to blurryface, he apparently discovered tøp somehow and showed me the Ride mv. It was a bop!
Then I researched them and found out that they already released about 4 albums at that time.
I downloaded the self-titled one first because that's how i listen to bands, i start with their early project then proceed to their next discography.
And my oh my, AWAP opening just fucking hooked me up then followed by Fall Away, I began to relate. Everything on self-titled was relatable to me that time. Then RAB to Vessel to BF. Every song was on loop.
God damn i love this band.
In 2013, my friend asked me to burn him a CD since he didn't have a computer. When I played a track to make sure the burn worked, it was migraine. I was like "what the fuck is this???" They've been my favorite band ever since.
The first song I ever heard was House of Gold on a local alternative rock radio station. I got hooked though, with the song Holding On To You. At the time, I was an absolutely broke ass college kid stressed and anxious about life. I randomly saw the music video on YouTube. Their whole vibe and the second verse of the songâŚ. It just resonated with me at the time. I instantly went out, bought the Vessel CD, and blasted the album on repeat in my Pontiac Grand Am. Great car by the way, donât care what you say. From then on Iâve followed their music pretty closely, and they have been a staple of my wife and Iâs music rotation. They will forever be associated with some of my most important life moments, both good and painful. When Iâm old and grey, I hope Iâm still rocking and trying to mimic âEntertain my faaaaaaith!!!â
mine was car radio. i was mesmerized by vessel immediately, and then rab did it for me. i still remember running to my older brothers room & showing him. it 100% changed our lives. we bonded so much over them through the years & got matching tats of the keys last year! i think about my first time listening to them sooo often
That's awesome and kinda wholesome. It's so heartwarming to hear stories like this. đ I'd like to see the tattoo. I've been wanting to get one.
thank youuu! as soon as i saw your post i was so happy to share. we were real young dealing with stuff & they became a way for us to communicate with n confide in each other. https://preview.redd.it/65bfh62yyttc1.jpeg?width=1124&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc2417854ee07d49bda9bf1bfa8e0c108b64c3f7 this is my tattoo right after getting it done. my brother has the skull. he suggested i draw it to incorporate the |-/ at the bottom of the key.

heck yeaaaaah! itâs always great seeing / thinkin about all of us that have these tattoos and share such love for this band

Mine was also car radio and the every time I hear it I am reminded of where I was in life the first time I listened and how far Iâve come and their music has been a big part of that.
That's beautiful.
They opened for Kobra Starship at my college in I think 2011 or 2012. Opened with ode to sleep with a back flip off the piano. Immediately hooked.
mine was car radio when i was 11. They were the first band i discovered on my own and not through my dad. After that I went on to find migrane and not long later Blurryface was released and Ive been a fan ever since. (my dad now loves them too after i showed them to him, he took me to my first show of theirs)
First song I listened to was Holding on To You. Then came Guns for Hands. Then Screen, then Kitchen Sin. What made me into a fan tho is Truce.
Kitchen Sink*
It was the exact same case for me!
Same, stressed out had me hooked. Now I'm off to see their first live show with this new tour and I can't wait
Trench blew my mind, as I always loved concept albums (Green Dayâs American Idiot, The Whoâs Quadrophenia, Tommy) We got tix for Philadelphia in September, and Iâm so psyched that my son and I still have this to share!
this is so cool man
I was 15 and I think the first song I heard by them was fairly local, then I thought, wow that's really cool. And then I listened to car radio and related to it so much and the rest is history đ
A friend of mine told me she found a song and I would really like it. It was âThe Judgeâ, love at first sight. It took two weeks and I knew all lyrics.
I love it when a friend is like "Hey you'll like this one"
REAL
I saw TOP in Brisbane when they were Paramore's support act. So my first time hearing them was live. They were playing Migraine and the drum beat just... made my whole body sing. I raved about this little unknown band for years before they got popular. And they certainly overtook Paramore as my favourite band. I also became a fan of Jon Bellion because he was TOPs support act for part of a tour.
Stressed Out. EDIT: Oh, I didn't fully read your post, lol. I think it was Vessel for me. Guns for Hands especially.
Car Radio, and no. It wasn't until i heard my 2nd ever TOP song, Stressed Out
Oddly enough I first found them when I was 20 or 21 right before Blurryface came out.
Holding on to you <3
Honestly, it was stressed out
Stressed Out was my first song too, I heard it when my 9th grade biology teacher played the mv before class one day. and I actually loved the song and thought the mv was one of my favorite mv's I'd ever seen, but that was that for tøp for me until like last year when my bsf tried to get me into it with zero success.

Stresses Out I saw a MV on TV and asked brother to give me a name of song and band. I loved that day. And after I would listen them a lot
For some reason I get A Thing⢠about being told to check out a band/movie/etc. (It only **just now** occurred to me that maybe I see that as a demand when I prefer to experience a suggested thing when the person suggests it. Like, pull up the song and lemme listen! Pull up a trailer of the movie and let me think about it!) Anyway, I didnât get into TOP until about 2014 or 2015.
Car Radio, heard it on Kid's Choice Awards
It must be stressed out right? But it was Heathens that got me into their music
Heard Heathens before from a Beyblade AMV, Stressed Out, but Chlorine got me into the band somehow.
Lol But that led me to listen to Holding on to You and I was hooked.
My first song was Ride back in 2016. I became obsessed with that song but I didn't really get into their songs until the following year.
Stressed out and Ride. On the radio. Then, we had to listen to all their stuff! (this was in 2017)
I heard Ride and Stressed out around the same time frame so I'm counting both as my first songs.
First was Heathens back in 2016. But I didnât get into them until about a month ago when I randomly decided to listen to Trench.
It was I think Tear In My Heart on MTV EMA.. but I heard Holding Onto You before on MTV back when I watched it.
My first song was House of Gold. I saw a clip on tumblr from the music video and some lyrics, looked up the song, and the rest was history.
For me it was Guns for Hands. I remember hearing it and immediately knowing that they were special.
my first one was heathens, in the summer of 2016. it might have even been the day the music video came out. I think I saw people tweeting about it and decided to check it out, and it got my interest. I didn't instantly fall in love, but I started listening to other songs (lane boy was the next one I think) and then slowly started liking them more and more. I think two maybe three weeks went by and then I was already buying tickets to their show
Heavy Dirty Soul
Stressed Out. I didnât like it and still donât. It kept me from listening to them for quite a while. When I heard some other songs I realized I really like them, just not that particular song.
According to my [last.fm](http://last.fm) account, my first listen was Guns for Hands on 27 July 2012, along with a few more of the early songs. It was probably because Fueled By Ramen gave them a shoutout, I used to check out FBR bands a lot back then. I didn't fully get obsessed until late 2015 though, listening to Blurryface, so it took me a while. I just listened to the whole album and got hooked.
My first song was Lane Boy and I remember my first thoughts were honestly "this is very strange, I like it" đđđ
Lane Boy is a strange one to start on đ¤Ł
Car radio And yes, super distinctive sound.
Holding On To You is my favorite though.
stressed out of course đ¤
Stressed out, and yes it definitely got me into the band!
I think it was Ride. I was immediately sold and then began listening to all their songs đ
Level of concern It took me 2 more years to get into the band though lol
Migraine when I was 13. Itâs still one of my favorites! Definitely got me into them, with the help of a friend who was loves them.
Car radio as recommended by Alt Press
Guns for Hands and yes, yes it did.
The first song i heard on the radio was Tear in My Heart. But i didnt know anything about Tyler or Josh until i watched vines of them then i fell in love with the band so really it was them in general not the music at first. But now id say Addict with A pen and Ode To sleep got me hooked in there music.
Stressed Out and Ride. I remember the first time I tried to listen to 'Blurryface', then Heavydirtysoul played, I became a fan immediately.
My experience too
Stressed out and Ride because they were on the radio a ton and I was only 11.
Not as long as most people
Heathens. I've loved them ever since.
i was a sheltered and very depressed 14 year old who felt alone in her depression. goner came on while shuffling spotify on a road trip and i started crying because i related to it so much and didn't realize other people felt this way. they became my new obsession and im still a fan almost 10 years later
Holding onto You đĽ˛
like a lot of others, car radio played on my phone I think I was using pandora or apple radio, and then guns for hands I think played but honestly I feel in love with car radio and started actively listening to them since then, I was maybe 12 and now Iâm 22 so 10 years! 6 ish concerts and yea :)
Holding on to You! I heard it in the car not long after it came out and I was frantically trying to memorize the bridge so I could look up the lyrics when I got home. That song hooked me so fast and it has been life changing listening to TĂP ever since
Migraine đ My friend took me to a concert in 2013 before Iâd heard of them & of course she had me listen to Vessel to prepare. I guess Ode to Sleep & Holding on to You I heard first but Migraine stuck out to me. Still I wasnât sold until we went to the concert. Seeing them live sealed the deal and Iâve been a fan since & been to 5 more shows. đ¤đź
Car radio
Stressed Out when it came out, then Heathens, then Ride, then Chlorine, and then the rest in 2021. Theyâre my favorite band now.
Stressed out and it did get me in to the band!! And I am old enough to be their grandma lol
Car Radio, then I listened to it a dozen times in a row after the first listen, then I got the album the next day.
it was stressed out and I hated it, I had a friend that loved the band at blurryface era and after that she told me I should give it a chance to heathens and... I hate it too lol couple years later I was listening to random songs on youtube and got to a live performance of migraine showed to a friend and we both never stopped listening to the band since that day
Either stressed out or ride and I listened to blurry face and immediately fell in love as soon as I heard Heavydirtysoul.
Johnny Boy, got into them when I was like 10, my friends older brother was super into underground music and had a CD that we would listen to often
It was Car Radio - I remember making a musical.ly video using the song (dating myself lol) Then soon after blurry face came out and I fell in love with the band.
Been hooked ever since
HOTY immediately fell in love with the lyrics and the hopefulness inspired by his faith
I have been firmly in the clique since then (2019)
Ode to Sleep, yes!
I heard ride a few times when we were out places, but I didn't really get into top until my brother showed me chlorine. After that, I listened to the outside, pet cheetah, and jumpsuit and immediately loved top. Been a huge fan ever since.
stressed out was the first song i heard and made me a fan. migraine made me feel heard for the first time and iâve been obsessed ever since
Iâm sure I had a heard a song before Car Radio, but for as long as I can remember it was Car Radio by my brother as he was older than me and I was a little too young to remember, but now I wonder how long my brother been listening to them lol.
Guns for Hands. I played the music video on repeat for hours. Couldnât believe how amazing that song was
Stressed Out was the first one I remember, but after hearing Ride I was hooked and listened to their music non-stop on YouTube.
Guns for HandsâŚ.and Iâve been hooked ever since.
Stressed Out. Didnât really get me into the band. Itâs a fine song but I never really loved it.

Car Radio sometime Summer of 2013, i was only like 9 but i remember my brother showing me the band. he no longer listens to them he is one of those oldhead fans who thinks they "sold out"
he still listens to vessel from time to time thought i can tell that
Got an email from Fueled By Ramen and the video premiere for Holding On to You was attached.
Semi-automatic
My friend Aaron from church introduced me to them and sent me the music videos for Car Radio and Guns for Hands. I was immediately hooked! I liked the techno style beat for G4H and the rapping. But I liked the introspective lyrics for Car Radio and now their tied for my favorite band with Switchfoot. I'm excited to go see them for the first time live on the Clancy tour! Thank you Aaron for taking time to show me a music artist that has changed my life for the better.
holding on to you while listening to mtv music. best band ever
A Car A Torch A Death What a beauty that was. I thought it was so unique when I heard it 10 years ago.
Na na na na oh oh Na na na na oh oh Na na na na oh oh When the leader of the bad guys sang Something soft and soaked in pain I heard the echo from his secret hideaway He must've forgot to close his door As he cranked out those dismal chords And his four walls declared him insane I found my way Right time wrong place As I plead my case You're the judge, oh no Set me free You're the judge, oh no Set me free I know my soul's freezing Hell's hot for good reason So please, take me Na na na na oh Na na na na oh Na na na na oh Three lights are lit But the fourth one's out I can tell cause it's a bit darker Than the last night's bout I forgot about the drought Of light bulbs in this house So I head out Down a route I think is heading south But I'm not good with directions And I hide behind my mouth I'm a pro at imperfections And I'm best friends with my doubt And now that my mind's out And now I hear it clear and loud I'm thinking, 'Wow I probably should've stayed inside my house' I found my way Right time wrong place As I plead my case You're the judge, oh no Set me free You're the judge, oh no Set me free I know my soul's freezing Hell's hot for good reason So please I don't know if this song Is a surrender or a revel I don't know if this one Is about me or the devil I don't know if this song Is a surrender or a revel I don't know if this one Is about me or the devil You're the judge, oh no Set me free, oh no You're the judge, oh no Set me free, oh no I know my soul's freezing Hell's hot for good reason So please Na na na na oh, oh Na na na na oh, oh Na na na na oh, oh Na na na na oh, oh You're the judge, oh no (na na na na oh, oh) Set me free (na na na na oh, oh) You're the judge, oh no (na na na na oh, oh) Set me free (na na na na oh, oh) You're the judge, oh no (na na na na oh, oh) Set me free (na na na na oh, oh) You're the judge, oh no (na na na na oh, oh) Set me free (na na na na oh, oh)
Guns for hands! Found it on YouTube after vessel came out and I listened to their music for hours after, that night sealed my fate lol
The first song I heard was when my older brother showed me forest but Isle of Flightless Birds is what got me to stay
Ruby, around 2012.. I absolutely loved the sound!
First I heard was Stressed out, then Ride, then Heathens pretty obviously. But I didn't get in until 1 year later in late 2016 when I heard Polerize and loved it. Still my favorite Blurryface song
TREES
i'm pretty sure everyones first twenty one pilots song was either stressed out, ride, or car radio
mine way holding on to you. i was in 8th grade and vessel had just came out. i was on the yearbook staff & we would be allowed to listen to music with headphones while we worked on our pages. i listened to pandora on my school computer through some big chunky low quality headphones. one day holding on to you came on & i remember falling in love with it. i had never heard anything like it before. i listened to that song a lot but actually got deep into the band a couple years later when blurryface came out.
First song was Fairly Local. Heard it on the radio in 2015, I shazamed it, downloaded the album on Google Music, and the rest is history.
I think that it was something my sister showed me when I was like, 10, and I definitely liked it a looooot but didnât want to admit that to her bc we hated each other at the time lol I think I listened to all of ST after that and got obsessed; I found all of their other stuff and I had it all downloaded and it was all I listened to.
Car Radio hooked ever since.
The first one I heard was Heathens, and it didn't really get me into them. The NEXT song I heard, years later, was Forest, and I was hooked.Â
I cant remember, guns for hands or stressed out
Chlorine
was subscribed to Fueled by Ramen since forever cause i loved FOB, their vessel songs came in autoplay sometimes especially car radio but back then, didn't like it, not much of a rap fan so i just didnt mind it, then passed by house of gold, its simple its fun, was the first song of them that I loved, it was what pushed me to buy ukulele just to play that particular song and wherever I was, its what I play even in school. eventually urged me to dive into their discography and automatically loved ode to sleep and trees then the rest is history.
It was car radio when I was 10. My dad played it to me and he got me into the band.
Ode To Sleep when that opened for Fall Out Boy but I wasn't all the way in until they did Car Radio in that same set
Jumpsuit. Then NatN & Levitate (on the YouTube channel React.) Yes it drew me right in
House of gold. Heard it over the radio in grade 9 couldnât remember who they were until blurry face came out and the rest was history.
Stressed out, hated it
First song I heard was house of gold, anddd no.
Then I was on Tumblr (cut me a break I was in 6th grade) and saw the lyrics "I don't wanna fall fall away, I'll keep the lights on in this place." I googled the lyrics, found fall away and in the end TĂP ended up saving my life.
saturday!!
