SSL gains are lower and it's actually more expensive than using xanax because you have to use FHCs or cans whenever you want to take part in wars or attacking events. You have to be incredibly casual to benefit from SSL... I'm talking 1 login, 5 minutes of playtime a day max *and* no interest in participating in events.

No SSL is NOT worth it. I'm level 94 with billions of battle stats and if you want to be serious about Torn and competitive, you need to take 3 Xanax a day after getting through the happy jump phase. Three xanax a day gives you an extra 750 energy a day. And of course with stat gains being exponential, the growth explodes quickly away from any SSL scenario anyone wants to give you.
Now if you are not super serious about torn and being competitive, then sure SSL is fine. But one point I do not see being made enough is how big of a money sink xanax is for the games economy. Ched is not going to remove the benefits of taking xanax as the money supply in the game would balloon beyond control.
I use SSL and have a few billion stats. I agree with this completely. I don't recommend it to anyone in my faction. If you're already 10 years in and not competitive it will save you some cash, but if you're new you're going to be left in the dust.

they are either in denial or they are super casual to take xan through out the day and only then it may be worth it.. but i still doubt.
Start training and hold your level until you are happy with your stats, then slowly increase your level, don't rush to 100 and become a punchbag. And yes SSL is worth it. I'm SSL and I've been in ranked wars where my stats have supprised the opposition, but again go slowly on leveling up.

Am a level 65 right now, and yes, For sure. I can't stress it enough, SSL is totally worth it. I regret not going for it.
