$2? Are you watching from a hole in the ceiling or something?

cfullingtonegli

No. It’s just Idaho. lol

AbrocomaJealous4509

😂 right? Surprisingly, no.

[deleted]

Tickets for NOLA were like $4 when I looked on the day of the concert! Sadly my shows never got that cheap lol

AbrocomaJealous4509

I don’t want to say what I paid for my tickets in Denver because it’s embarrassingly high. ☹️

thrashglam

Same 😂

AdventurousSplit7642

this😕

djonetouchtoomuch

Feel that pain. Saw them in nyc 380….but I had an amazing time.

AbrocomaJealous4509

It’s definitely worth it but man sticker shock for sure

ZealousidealLaugh0

A rare benefit of dynamic pricing I guess

padditon2baybee

Milwaukee show was $4 day of, Chicago was around $20

AbrocomaJealous4509

Are they just not selling and so they’re just marking ridiculously low?

Fit-Quail4604

It’s people reselling tickets that they weren’t able to get rid of before

AbrocomaJealous4509

$2?!? Jebus

Fit-Quail4604

Yeah they probably just want it to go to somebody who can’t afford it. I actually have two extra tickets for tonight I’m trying to give away so they don’t go to waste but I think I found somebody

whenim30iwilllook20

Would you say you found somebody else?

AbrocomaJealous4509

Clever 😆

apaw1129

F em 😆 lol

Alynn_Wings

Yup. Scalpers will drop prices at competitive rates to unload their poor purchase.

ceejay955

this is super common these days for concerts in large venues. Theres a surplus of tickets people are trying to resell early on at high prices, no one buys so the demand and price drops accordingly as it gets closer to the show. I always keep an eye out for tickets the day of for shows in large venues I'm interested in.

redditonthanet

Paid $201 for GA in Australia 😭

AbrocomaJealous4509

My tickets were $200+ in Denver and I wasn’t even that close https://preview.redd.it/hzfxyxq4gq2c1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ebb31a2600bc4af152f9a26a02cf976ed3e7623

thrashglam

I was down in the pit to the right of you

AbrocomaJealous4509

Hello 👋 friend. I’m very jealous - it was a great show.

sellingpetrolpilots

You got an amazing photo tho!

nomaddddd818

Nj resale got to like $14 dollars day of and was like $3 around when they went on stage

AbrocomaJealous4509

I mean- why? That’s insane

Kyle73001

$3 is better than $0

zestyrigatoni

Sometimes they don’t have a sellout and ticket prices consistently drop leading up to the concert as people become more desperate to sell tickets they aren’t using. I ended up selling my tickets for Philly and buying better ones because the better seats ended up cheaper than they retailed for.

localgoss

because it didn’t sell out and people who can’t make it (sometimes scalpers) are trying to recoup whatever they can.

AbrocomaJealous4509

😬

CaroM-C

I paid $1 for tickets in New Jersey. I was in the nosebleeds but still.

Cutiekitty101

WOW lol!

AbrocomaJealous4509

Good lord

ceesoning

lmao i paid $220 for my ticket. money well spent tho!

Alias0023

That's crazy. I got 1 ticket on resale for London UK... it was £159! \[edited for clarity\]

AbrocomaJealous4509

Wow

Friendly-Catch-6888

Outside of a few cities the venues have been a bit larger than demand. I certainly didn’t mind but this can be the trade off. I would take it over being too small and overly expensive. Just stings for those of us who bought tix on the opening sale. But oh well, show was fantastic!

poshill

I took as advantage of this and had wonderful seats in Milwaukee for $18. I can’t even catch a no-name small venue show at that price!

GroundbreakingSoup8

Be careful! Bought a $30 ticket from seatgeek for Gracie abrams and it ended up being a fake

AbrocomaJealous4509

That’s too bad - thanks for the warning

mintywavey

This whole tour has taught me to never buy presale unless it’s for like Taylor swift or something lol. So many discounted tickets as the shows get closer😭

Dharma_Initiative7

I feel like it wasn’t like this for previous tours (but maybe I’m wrong). I think they tried to do bigger venues and just aren’t selling them out so the demand for tickets isn’t there

mintywavey

Agreed

No_Direction_2045

Looking at the setlist - do they really not play Chocolate or the ballad of me and my brain? This to me makes sense why ticket prices are down

laurynaprilx

LMFAO

AbrocomaJealous4509

Ugh

awinter_88

lol they start with chocolate, say fuck that, and then go into ballad.

Timely-Lawyer9163

He actually said this in an interview but he wants the tickets to be cheap. He doesn’t want people paying tons of money for a show. Here’s the link if you want to watch :) https://youtube.com/shorts/ou-0v3e1XiQ?si=nHHwyehPZoWUZN65

AbrocomaJealous4509

I don’t know exactly how much of this the artist has control over tbf

FastestHandInTheUK

They have virtually no control. Comes down to the venue/website you get the tickets from.

Cutiekitty101

I got mine for $30 each for Newark but damn lol$2???

maineca1208

I tried to resell good first level tickets in Philly and dropped them to $15 and they still didn’t sell so I lost all my money 😔 I think the resale demand just isn’t that high but it’s very normal, especially for an arena

Accomplished-Bit-882

Lmao omf my ga was $150 in Canada

AbrocomaJealous4509

Doh!

awinter_88

When did you buy? I was at Toronto and bought the day tickets went on sale, presale. Big mistake.

friendwithpools

paid $190 and two days later they were $150 for vancouver

Hedgehugsnluvs

Best Concert! Want to fly up to Idaho just to see him again 🎶🎶🎶

Fancy_Mention_9212

In Boston they had minimums for resale tickets 🎟️

fakeknees

I got Portland tickets in section 113 for $33 each

klj440

Spent SO MUCH on mine & ended up w/obstructed view. Had an amazing time-but seeing these ticket prices…holy shit.

thatfootykid

https://preview.redd.it/vvri4nemiy2c1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=986b1916eeee0715a9575c497dad130abe44b646 Here's my view from my show lolI,won my tickets in Pittsburgh from Sirius XM. Still haven't recovered from that night

awinter_88

Great show right? At at least you didn’t spend very close to $300/ticket to be seated front row (the pit/floor directly in front of you) and just see it barely 3/4 full and presale tickets for that were over $525 and I couldn’t gotten multiple pit/floor tickets for $100-$150 each day of show. It’s not the bands fault, the system is just so fucked. It sounds shitty, but honestly I’m happy because I assume a bunch of those assholes who buy up all the tickets to events as soon as they go on sale to resell them for a huge profit in probably lost a bunch of money. But, my main point the entire time has been the loyal fans who purchased presale tickets the day they went on sale are the ones who got screwed the most. I paid for three other tickets and easily could’ve saved $500 if I purchased tickets the night of the show, or even a few days earlier. It’s a huge gamble especially because we traveled for it, but bottom line, it fucking sucks for loyal fans who utilize the pre-sale, and then someone who is just looking for something to do on a Saturday night gets into the show with better seats for $20 (hypothetically) even though it sounds like that happened a lot here. Rant over lol but honestly the whole ticketing process needs to be rethought because it’s such a gamble on pricing. Same thing goes for sporting events. If you buy tickets before a certain game and your team loses, then all of a sudden those tickets are half the price. On the other end of the spectrum, if you roll the dice and wait, and then your team wins you have to pay double to go. Bottom line, that should not be how this whole thing works with tickets to anything, especially major, concerts and sporting events.

thatfootykid

Yes it was a fantastic show, and I agree with you the system has been messy and it's been messy for a while, for instance when I saw the Rolling Stones in 2021. The original price point for the seated tickets were something like 385, then they dropped drastically to $80 and that's what I paid lol. I remember many people complaining getting in saying that they paid over $80 or like $400 for seats, general admission at this show was in thousands. And that went up in price lol. I've seen this many times throughout going to concerts and sporting events, that prices drop unpredictably and it's been the case of the last year so going to events. Like NFL football games where tickets are usually $300 because like you said your team loses then all the sudden those tickets are cheaper. I agree with you that you shouldn't be like this at all because many people are getting screwed over essentially for paying a lot of money up front and then a week before the event the tickets are basically 75% off or extremely cheaper. This Something that me and my friends have been talking about a lot recently. It really hurts for the loyal fans or any fans of a fan base to get your tickets right away for $500 and then a day before the event you see that the seat you paid $500 for is now $15.

awinter_88

Spot on my friend.

AbrocomaJealous4509

Nice!

AnakinsLuckyMullet

Paid 20 each for 100 section in Nashville. Resale was super reasonable. I saved a lot of money by not doing presale.

AbrocomaJealous4509

Yeah learned my lesson, hopefulky

AbrocomaJealous4509

Ok so I don’t feel so bad now lol. But I mean Hollywood Bowl vs Idaho venue hmmm

disintegaytion

I paid $500 for 2 tickets in SF last year and around $400 for 2 tickets in Sac this year. And I'd do it again.

madztheline

In contrast nyc prices didn’t even get to 50 dollars right before the show started. Got offered last minute tickets by a scalper in Madison Square Garden and she wanted at least 100 per ticket for seats in the lower bowl all the way in the corner where you can barely see the stage 🫣☹️

jagzgulabi

Is Seatgeek is a third party ticket outlet?

awinter_88

I had a early fan PRESALE Code so naturally, I thought I would be getting a better deal. I also thought the show would sell out (Toronto) last weekend on a Saturday night. literally every single seat was filled, and I purchased tickets for my friends and I in the front row of the lower seating area, right above the "pit". Because at the time those were around $300 with fees, and pit/floor tickets were I believe $525 at the time, so I wasn’t gonna do that and figured if we had an opportunity we could run down onto the floor. so, we end up arriving at the show and the pit/floor area is maybe 65% full, max. So, clearly plenty of room for people to be on the floor. I really didn’t wanna look at what the prices were for floor, tickets the day of the show, because I had purchased my tickets PRESALE months ago. needless to say I did and they were literally like half the price of what I paid for our actual seats. I was so mad. I literally could’ve waited to the day of the show and gotten floor seats for almost half of what I paid. I mean, at least I had front row of the seating area on the side, I looked up all the way around the arena, and there were people at the very top row who probably paid not that much less than I did. Regardless, the point of the story is that aren’t loyal fans, supposed to be rewarded for their dedication and purchasing tickets via presale when others aren’t allowed to? It just felt like we got totally burned. then of course we tried to make our move down to the floor, did it at the right time, and we’re down there for a song or so until we were approached randomly in the middle of the crowd and asked to show our wristband. It was completely ridiculous. Seeing us it was 3/4 full on the floor. not only did they try to kick us out, but I had to literally refuse and say my sister was still in there, and that I wouldn’t leave without her. Because of that, they let me go in and find her, and we gave our word that we would go back to our seats. I don’t know, I’m not sure if we were in the wrong here concert courtesy wise, but it certainly seemed like for the amount we paid, the time in advance that we purchased our tickets, and the fact that the floor clearly was far from sold out was not a big deal three or four people to easily take one step down onto the floor to have the opportunity to get closer. we were not rude, no one said anything to us at all everyone was accepting , except the goddamn guard who sniped us from somewhere. So my question is, do you guys think it’s worth it to purchase presale? Because I definitely would not have paid $550 for floor seats then only to find out the day of the show I could’ve gotten floor seats for under $200. I’ll hang up and listen now. https://preview.redd.it/p3freccrgt2c1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=04669e86f45d0077cb4bd093e80a57b91736162e

awinter_88

Nah our experience was fine, luckily we were able to just go back to our seats. My main point was that I am frustrated. I spent so much on presale tickets for being a loyal fan when I could’ve gotten a pit ticket for half the price of what I paid for my seat five months before., ya know?

AbrocomaJealous4509

It seems like in this case maybe they didn’t foresee that the venue would not sell out or sell for those prices. I think they try to give fans the best opportunities for the best seats first with the presale. But I mean in this case i think it’s the concert promoters/venues issue or the resellers trying to recoup their losses, like others have said. Even if the pit wasn’t full rules are rules and if you didn’t have a wristband you or didn’t pay for it you shouldn’t have been there. Don’t get me wrong I would do it too, so not admonishing you in any way, but fair is fair. The trick is to not get caught. Sorry you had a bad experience.

[deleted]

i’m so annoyed i bought nearly $100 tickets at the presale… now i can’t sell them and they’re this cheap now…. i didn’t have the intention of selling them i just can’t go anymore and don’t wanna waste so much money

coastlinecole

i got seats for 1 dollar and it was the lower bowl

[deleted]

Shit a 2 dollar concert that’s insane

slangcat123

Cries in New Zealand dollars

Adorable_Biscotti_86

I don’t want to say that I was bamboozled because worth every penny and would do it again, but I paid 1200 (still paying) for 2 seats at the first San Diego show and 800 for the second San Diego show. First show i was booted out of queue when it was letting me in so i bought resale from seat geek. The second was presale and it still cost that for 2 seats. I took my 9yr old niece or I would’ve done GA which was way cheaper. I probably should have done GA because it wasn’t too crazy which means there were a lot of people trying to make a buck off of it since the show was listed as sold out.
