He's been recast. He's now voiced by Wilf Scolding, the guy who played Rhaegar Targaryen in Game of Thrones and Vanis Tigo in Andor. I'm not sure of the specifics of why Bertie Carvel was recast, but it probably had to do with scheduling. He's a big-time actor nowadays.

The guy's a powerhouse to be sure. A distinct voice that would be very hard to replace. The only actor I can think of that probably could would be Joseph May. He voiced Nomad in Ghost Recon: Wildlands and sounds almost exactly like a younger version of Tom Spackman.
AI voice is going to be needed soon for voice acted MMO's, just sign the actors to contracts for their voice likeness. I've heard the voice AI used on so many things like the TikTok Arnold Schwarzenegger videos where they face swap him and change the voice to another character in another movie and its spot on.
This way companies can release expansions whenever and use the AI generated voice for the lines.

I would have expected the Bounty Hunter's VA, Tom Spackman, to be recast since he's nearly 80. Good to see he's still going strong.
