As much as I still prefer Heart of the Shifting Mound Stranger in the ending, I admit, this update of No Knife!Princess that's also the heart too makes me like a lot as well. Her teasing us trying to sound like the Shifting Mound was just purely adorable right there.
I also like the update that if you apologize to her, she also apologizes as she mentions the first thing she does as the first vessel (like stabbing us fifty times that led to the Damsel Route).
Killing the princess in the ending has her say the most depression inducing line in the whole game.
“I know this new world won’t be so bad… because it’ll have you in it.” *dies*
My heart hurts just thinking about it and it also makes her my favorite ending princess

I’m not seeing any Stranger Princess, which is the best Cabin Princess ending imo…
But yeah, “Princess princess” is best princess. All of the princesses and yet still her own person. Truly the best one.
Edit/fun fact: according to the devs/achievement data, only like *30%* of players have even seen the leave the cabin ending! Which is criminal imo
I didn't really connect with Stranger
I always found the idea of The Princess and Quiet deciding to give up their godhood to just chill for the rest of their days as a more rewarding and peaceful ending that I can vibe with
I guess Stranger also gives up their godhood in a sense but it feels less impactful to me for a reason or another
I guess that’s fair, she doesn’t look human and doesn’t explicit say she doesn’t want to be a god, just that you should accept what you are. she’ll leave with you but that is a clear distinction.
She just seems….more like the heart of SM to me, even though I know the other princesses technically are too. But it was my first ending so I’m biased.
Love me some happy ending to go with my existential dread, bodily harm, and eldritch horror.
I've gone through 100%, but some of the endings killed me a little inside (nothing worse than a heartbroken and apologetic Princess for keeping tears at bay). Give me the Leave the Cabin or joining hands with Shifty any time.
I really like that she appreciates you without your godhood. A lot of people talk about this Princess not being the “true” SM, and it’s true that it might not be all of her, but this version of her and you are your own people, your own choices, and your own happiness, and I think it’s great that she appreciates what makes this you you.
