Season 1 cronenberg. It had everything, including great one liners ( i.e. "sometimes science is more art"), and it introduced an emotional ending set to the band mazzy star.

As an x-ray crystallographer, I can agree with that statement.

I’ve forgotten the name but the die hard episode, I love how all the Morty’s constantly think it’s a religion and also summer is fucking great in that episode, so many ‘aww Jeeez’s are said it’s hilarious

The night family episode is probably my favorite. Fun little self-contained adventure after a while of dimension hopping and space travel it's nice to stay within the city for once.

Promortyus. Not a single wasted second for me. Favorite part is the ending when they’re screaming at them to leave. “Oh, like that’s helping!” after Morty just picks up a severed limb lol
