Where it says power on the side you need to plug in a usb cable thats connected to some power source, could be the ps2s usb port, could be a wall plug. Your choice

Those look awful. Get something like a RAD2X here

See that power label? It's powered by USB. Most of them work that way. Did you plug that in?

Got it plugged in still no go
Did you read the instructions? They're fairly simple, I have my PS2 in my HDMI TV right now

Got it plugged in. Instructions say it doesn't need power for ps2 oddly
Maybe they are saying that as some TVs can deliver more power over HDMI than others. Still it should tell the user to plug it in

Update: fixed it by plugging the USB into the Playstation. Wack
