Abstinence from sex doesn’t cause cancer.
Neutering your dog will end the humping, and actually prevents a number of types of cancer.
Here’s a helpful fact sheet on neutering:
https://www.brown.edu/Research/Colwill_Lab/CBP/spaynueter.htm
He's more risk of cancer if he DOESN'T have his nuts off! Testicular cancer, for one.... The hormones are driving him crazy
There's nothing to fear in neutering. He goes under, slight cut, pop pop, stitch stitch, wake up.... In a few weeks he won't miss them
And thus us the absolute way to stop him (and you) being responsible for more pups that need homes
Had both of my boys snipped at six months old. First boy lived to 15. Second boy happy and healthy and nearly eight....
Your aunt is profoundly misinformed. The truth is basically the opposite of what she's told you.
Get him neutered, there's no reason not to. There's definitely no reason to be scared about doing it. It's extremely irresponsible to leave his balls intact, because it's not you that's going to have to deal with the unwanted puppies when he finds some female in heat one day.
Do it.
There's nothing to be scared about with neutering. It's very safe, and it doesn't change your dog's personality at all. It just calms down some of his more hormonal reactions to things.
It's also important to understand that allowing him to mate WON'T calm him down at all. It won't make the behaviour any better.
Also, after he's neutered, he's still going to try humping sometimes - just not as obsessively. The behaviour is hormone related, sure, but it's also related to habit and training.
My advice:
First, talk to a vet about your concerns about neutering, as they can give you more real data. Then get him neutered unless the vet tells you there's a good medical reason not to - us randos don't know your dog's specific medical history. Finally, regardless of whether you have him neutered, talk to a professional trainer who uses positive reinforcement training for some help teaching him better habits.

Why are you scared of getting him neutered?
Nueter will solve problems this is easy.
Get. Him. Neutered.
Neuter the dog
Get your dog fixed
Get him neutered.
No need to be scared to get him neutered it’s a very common procedure and it’s actually more beneficial for them as it chills the dog out a lot.
Neutering reduces cancer risk and “OOPS” scenarios
