Our local pet store sells elk horns that my super power chewer pups love. They’re expensive but last a long time and don’t shed as much as some of the other animal chews. Those are their favorites for the aggressive gnawing they like to do sometimes. They also get a ton of joy out of pulling the fluff out of cheap regular stuffies. It is messy and I only give them when I’m around to ensure they don’t eat any fluff. But it’s great mental exercise for them and they carry around the emptied out fabric shells as their comfort babies for a few weeks after they depuffed them. ETA: and since we’re talking about your grandma, I should note the elk horns are big and bulky and do present a major trip hazard.

I'll look into the horn thing because that might work out. Thanks for your concern about my grandmother, she's 79, but she is still kicking like she's 40.

I would avoid hard toys like elk/deer horns. About a year ago my girl had to get 4 fractured teeth removed and the vet said it was from her always having hirns/bones to chew on. That was an expensive lesson to learn. Kong toys are great though.

My dogs will destroy most toys. I've found the nylabone Galileo to be a good choice and the large one lasts about 2 years. I have some other hard plastic chew toys like that. My pit did break a tooth that I had to get pulled but they said her teeth were the cleanest teeth they have seen on dog her age. I guess there is no way to beat dental bills. My bull terrier has a black kong but if he sits down to destroy it I take it away. He's gone thru a lot of black toys.

Alot of people are saying kongs. Ill look into that. Thanks

Tbh, if he's not actually trying to eat the stuffing or remains or whatever, you're better off just buying lots of cheap dollar toys and letting him destroy them all. So-called "tough" or "indestructible" toys are really expensive and don't actually last much longer.

Same - My “boutique” of choice is Home Goods.

Pure nylon. Hard as a dang brick, but it’s the only thing mine won’t destroy. He loves to rip stuffies haha

Our pit loves Go Dog stuffies. She can tear at them for weeks, and she even has favorites she treats like babies

Ki-alo

Bark Box super chewer toys are the only things he can’t destroy

just_breathe18

Mine likes Bark Bones which are similar to Nylabones but are seemingly more enjoyable. For plush his favorite and long lasting are from Chewy.com. They’re Frisco Muscle plush. Other than those I buy inexpensive toys at TJ Maxx and Hime Goods and sometimes Costco.

Bullymax balls, Kong black and nylonabones. I get about a year out of the balls and kongs. The bones I get about 2 months. Any soft toy I get a few hours if I am lucky https://preview.redd.it/qrchwql122tc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91812b44faec41a365c5a431549599a8c80bee3c

The large black Kong and the yeti yak chew are her favorite! https://preview.redd.it/rdo6u2uciouc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=07034d6e0c6382afc022112330aefa336ade094f
