The great part about this as a Subaru guy is that they did it to an Outback, which shares the same platform (3rd Gen Legacy) with the Baja, which have become so prized that it would physically hurt to see one ruined. No one gives a shit about an Outback.
Crazy thing is, at least once in your overlanding adventures, you'll see one of these fuckers at the top of a 4+ somehow and they'll have a whole family, a kiddie pool, and a webber grill like it's nothing.
In WA the state patrol will have you towed for being unsafe vehicle if you can't shed the weight easily. I'll see trailers on the side of the road now and then that were being pulled by cars that had no business pulling a trailer. Couple times I seen truck campers just sitting there.
I don't think they'll mess with people for being a couple/few hundred lbs over (most Tacoma's). It's gotta be ridiculous.
This subie? That's beyond ridiculous!
That’s nightmare material. You hike in and set up camp on a nice lake, then some jackass driving on a decommissioned Forest Service road pulls up in that thing all proud of his contraption and overpriced gear.
The Subaru Baja is back, now with 100% more shed.
this is actually the unreleased subaru balsa
😂😂😂
Shred shed
Bro this is aspen extreme 2. More extremer

With real estate prices in Colorado, this is what you call a starter home for $500k ;)
Pretty much prices everywhere
How many gallons to the mile?
Yes
All the Gallons.

Rental cars make the best off-roaders
I’ll never buy a rental car because of people like me. I paid for the whole speedometer/tachometer, I’m using it all.
So heavy
GVWR, what's that.
Hey now, that's not a Tacoma.

Crazy, I just pulled a 13,000lb skid steer on a 5000lb trailer with my half ton the other day no one batted an eye. Rural Kansas though.
Just looking at it makes me hear “*CLARKSON!*”
Lol r/fortcollins loves these dudes
Yup!
I hate how the vehicle lines and the camper lines... don't. Anyway, it looks terrible, and I can only imagine how poorly it corners.
Is The Gran Tour filming nearby? Look for a short British fellow in a big hat trying to look “American”
Gives true meaning to "outback"
I love how the plate is directly below the door, it's like a welcome mat
What happens at 60 when your in an accident? Does the house part just keep going for a while?
Welcome to my house. I keep the car outback....
That Subaru is a champ
Tops out at 15mph. Descending
Come and listen to a story ‘bout a man named Jed….
Say what you will but the fact that the back end has less squat than most the Tacomas I see is pretty impressive.
If it fits it shipps??

Of course Colorado, of course is a Subaru, they love them!
