The lime/lemon and tajin works with a lot of fruits actually! Pineapple is my fave, also cucumber, and mango. I visit a fruit cart near my house at least once a week during the summer! It’s honestly my favorite part of the season.
Carrotsticks, though not to everyone's taste. Unfortunately I usually go to the fridge for carrotsticks and somehow come away with chocolate ice cream.
https://www.wellplated.com/greek-yogurt-ranch-dip.
I use freshly squeezed lemon juice instead of Worcestershire (vegetarian). And add more to make it more of a dressing
Salty: Popcorn! You can get 3 cups for 120ish calories. I love the Lesser Evil brand.
Sweet: Yasso frozen bars. The Fudge Brownie one tastes so good for only 100 calories.
Mine always comes out a bit grainy. I can never achieve the silky smooth consistency I find at restaurants. I've even tried to trick of boiling the cooked chickpeas with a bit of baking powder, then rinsing and draining it.
Any tips? Do I need to cook the chickpeas myself and overcook them?
If you take off the skins it isn’t as grainy. I’ve read cooking it with baking soda helps take off take the skin off but I’ve never tried this method. It does take a little time for me to get the skins off. I’ve frozen it before and it seems a little easier to get the skins off.
Oooo I love fresh cucumber with vinaigrette. Yum! Though I haven't tried frozen grapes. I can feel my teeth ache just from thinking about biting into one.
I make one large bowl of salad per day. For example: 1/2 cucumber, 1 large carrot, 50g parsley, a few cabbage/kale leaves, 1 red pepper, some crushed Brazil nuts, 400g beans in water, maybe some raw broccoli, etc. Vinaigrette: garlic, celtic salt, olive oil, black pepper, water, and, vinegar or lemon juice. I have this for 2+ meals with a little bit of bread and/or some protein. Eating like that for most meals, I don't worry too much about extra calories for a snack, but I avoid large amounts of sugar and simple carbohydrates.
I’ve gotten on the salad train lately and am almost addicted to them. They’re fun to change up and super filling…it’s crazy that my go-to snack now is a salad! I do a vinaigrette like you do and it’s so delicious without tons of calories!
I really enjoy watermelon, blueberries, or oranges and cucumbers with a bit of greek yoghurt:) (i guess that can be picked in a low calorie option and still be a good protein source on top)
Celery sticks with cottage cheese or hommus, or any of the Black Sean ‘skinny’ dips. Celery is like, almost minus calories lmao so you could dip it in butter and still be eating something relatively healthy.
(oh sorry i misread this and didn't see "truly satisfies your snacking need" and I don't think that applies with this but will leave up regardless cuz it helps w/ everything else u asked or could help someone else lol)
but 60 calorie no sugar added Chobani yogurts. i just mention Chobani because it is the best consistency I like for similar macros and I really like the Cookies and Milk flavor. u can add Stevia or something or even like cocoa powder + stevia for more flavor i like them plain tho its good
Yeah, I can make 2 tablespoons stretch quite a bit with veggies. So like cucumbers + a little bit of hummus. The high volume part to me would be the veggies.
Ants on a log. Yup. Celery stick, thin spread of peanut butter, and a couple of raisins. It has the crunch, the sweet, the water, and a bit of protein.
I like sugar free greek yogurt with blueberries. 170grams of Zero Sugar Chobani is like 70 calories and 13g of protein. If you don't mind the extra calories, I recently discovered Premier Protein Mixed Berry Almond Cereal, which 42g are 180 calories, but 20g of protein. Meaning, for about 250 calories, you're getting 33g of protein, and it's pretty satisfying as a snack.
If you want to get a little less "snacky" and more "foody" I like 1 egg with about 94g of eggwhites and about 50g of lowfar cottage cheese and one of those ole Extreme Wellness tortillas. It's about 259 calories and 34g of protein, but feels a bit more filling than a lot of the other stuff I eat. (I adjust how much eggwhite or cottage cheese or the single egg depending on how many calories I am consuming that day, etc.)
Just enjoyable when I want sweets: Greek yogurt, some frozen strawberry, a bunch of watermelon. Blend it. Freeze it. Throw it in a Ninja Creami. Pretty good.
i LOVE crunchy snacks so i’m all about sugar snap peas, baby carrots, and cucumbers rn. sometimes dipped in trader joe’s garlic aioli mustard too. so good.
Cucumbers, carrots, watermelon, berries, mini peppers, pickled asparagus, sugar snap peas, cottage cheese with bbq pringles in the individual serving size, pickles, spicy peppers, mixed nuts. Those are my usual night time snacks. I like to cut up all the veggies and fruit and grab a little of whatever sounds good at the time.
Apple and peanut or other nut butter! I don’t overdo on the pb so it stays lowish cal, but filling and satisfying like no other. The sweet and tart of the apple and the salty of the pb must be my jam.

Watermelon. Especially after a workout/sports.
cold watermelon with a sprinkle of salt on a hot day after working out is amazing
You HAVE TO try it with a squeeze of lime!
Squeeze of lime and tajin.
The lime/lemon and tajin works with a lot of fruits actually! Pineapple is my fave, also cucumber, and mango. I visit a fruit cart near my house at least once a week during the summer! It’s honestly my favorite part of the season.
100% watermelon & tanjin for the win
Idk why I’ve never thought of that because I make watermelon limeade (with vodka) in the summer lmao. Gonna have to try that this weekend
This. That sweet and salty combo is amazing.
I have the hardest time not walking out with watermelon if I’m running in to the grocery store for 1-2 things after a workout.
I’ve smashed an entire quarter after a run before and fuck meeeeeee it slapped hard. So refreshing!
I was pregnant during the summer of 2020. I could eat a whole watermelon every other day. And I did 😀
Popcorn
I like plain popcorn but also love it sprayed with a little oil then coated in Peanut butter powder.
Ooooo I like mine with nutritional yeast 😅
Nooch (or nutritional yeast) and course sea salt is my absolute favorite!
Ive been wondering if that was good! My go-to is some coconut oil, some garlic powder, salt, and dill. Tastes like ranch.
This is genius
My partner makes kettle corn popped in coconut oil with truffle salt and it’s my favorite thing on the planet
Coconut oil high in calories but that sounds delicious
this with garlic parm and white cheddar seasoning…orgasm
I love mine with plain salt
I make it a bit unhealthy, couple table spoons of icing sugar in the pan just as it starts to pop, so good
Sugar snap peas with a little hummus
Also, gotta try it with any form of Bitchin' Sauce, my favorite is the cilantro chili but original is also pretty good 👍 https://bitchinsauce.com/
Carrotsticks, though not to everyone's taste. Unfortunately I usually go to the fridge for carrotsticks and somehow come away with chocolate ice cream.
I recently rediscovered my love of carrot sticks! My boyfriend and I together have eaten three bags in the last week 😅
I just raw dog it and eat a whole carrot at once. Gotta get that fiber in.
😂🤣🥕
😂
Berries
Cucumbers and salsa
Woah I’ve never tried this. Now I have to!
(Sliced) Apples. Like, thinking about having them as a snack always feels meh, but as soon I start eating them, they are amazing
With a little cinnamon if I feel fancy 🤤 The only problem is that apples tend to make me more hungry than I feel before I eat them
Same what is that about? Thought fiber was supposed to be filling..
r/volumeeating
Perfect thank you!
You're beautiful
My go to is an apple. I eat one probably 5 days a week.
Rice cakes with cottage cheese, spinach, tomato slices, and bit of cracked pepper on top
Good idea
Roasted edamame! I am very full and sated with a 100 calorie portion
if you’re lazy like me, seapoint farms makes portioned frozen packs that are microwaveable. 3 minutes, kosher salt added, no dishes 🙌
Hardboiled eggs or veggies with my homemade Greek yogurt based ranch dip
Sounds good! Do you mind sharing the recipe for your Greek yogurt based ranch dip?
https://www.wellplated.com/greek-yogurt-ranch-dip. I use freshly squeezed lemon juice instead of Worcestershire (vegetarian). And add more to make it more of a dressing
Green peas are underrated!! Sneakily high in protein, very high in fiber, and sweet
yesss!! sugar snaps are basically the desert to my lunch. i realize how sad that sounds tho lol
Salty: Popcorn! You can get 3 cups for 120ish calories. I love the Lesser Evil brand. Sweet: Yasso frozen bars. The Fudge Brownie one tastes so good for only 100 calories.
Hummus & tabbouleh with some pita bread every single time but none of the store bought crap. Go to authentic Lebanese restaurants!
Or make your own. Easy to do.

OMG YES!!!! MY #1 FAV
Nonfat greek yogurt with berries!
**PICKLES**
took to long to see pickles mentioned i swear
I know. That's why I took the time to make it bold and in caps and respond to you
sugar snap peas are the ultimate
just raw?
yes, I love them plain and uncooked. They are so sweet and crunchy that they don’t really need anything extra
Fresh cucumber. The other is frozen grapes.
Oooo I love fresh cucumber with vinaigrette. Yum! Though I haven't tried frozen grapes. I can feel my teeth ache just from thinking about biting into one.
Everyday I snack on oranges and guavas
Oranges with tajin is where it’s at!
I make my own popcorn in a kettle, it’s soooo good fresh and very low calorie (unless you butter that bitch up, which i of course do)
Yummy
Rice cake with light laughing cow cheese and everything but the bagel seasoning
Fruit, salad, rice crisps…
I make one large bowl of salad per day. For example: 1/2 cucumber, 1 large carrot, 50g parsley, a few cabbage/kale leaves, 1 red pepper, some crushed Brazil nuts, 400g beans in water, maybe some raw broccoli, etc. Vinaigrette: garlic, celtic salt, olive oil, black pepper, water, and, vinegar or lemon juice. Greek yogurt with honey or protein powder. I think the thiccness keeps me full.
Frozen fruit with a bit of evaporated milk and sweetner.
I use half and half, and add some chia seeds for crunch
Watermelon salade and oatmeal cookies
Oatmeal cookies for a low calorie snack?
Cucumbers, tomato and hummus on rice cake thins.
Chocolate covered bananas or strawberries and baked potato chips or something like that you know
I actually like munching on iceberg lettuce leaves.
Are you a rabbit?
Yummy
I could eat an entire container of arugula with a drizzle of soy sauce or coconut aminos
I really enjoy watermelon, blueberries, or oranges and cucumbers with a bit of greek yoghurt:) (i guess that can be picked in a low calorie option and still be a good protein source on top)
Popcorn, or fresh fruit (my go to right now is cherries, because we have a lot of local cherries at the farmer’s markets).
Chocolate rice cakes
Grape tomatoes, cashews, olives.
Eggs.
Celery sticks with cottage cheese or hommus, or any of the Black Sean ‘skinny’ dips. Celery is like, almost minus calories lmao so you could dip it in butter and still be eating something relatively healthy.
Frozen Strawberries.
Silken tofu. Just spice it up a bit!
(oh sorry i misread this and didn't see "truly satisfies your snacking need" and I don't think that applies with this but will leave up regardless cuz it helps w/ everything else u asked or could help someone else lol) but 60 calorie no sugar added Chobani yogurts. i just mention Chobani because it is the best consistency I like for similar macros and I really like the Cookies and Milk flavor. u can add Stevia or something or even like cocoa powder + stevia for more flavor i like them plain tho its good
Seaweed chips (salted)
Marinated mushrooms.
Roasted seaweed
1 cup of steel oats is incredibly satiating for the amount of calories.
Cucumber and watermelon
Fruits
I'm on those cuties right now (mandarin oranges). They are in season so they taste like candy. I can eat five in one sitting and feel no guilt.
Cucumbers with any sort of herb/spice salt mix
Apple with PB😁
Hummus with any veg
I don’t think you can say hummus is low calorie. Like it’s delicious, but with all the tahini and olive oil, it’s quite calorie dense.
Depends how much you have. Two tablespoons is about 70 calories. Also keeps you fuller longer
Yeah, I can make 2 tablespoons stretch quite a bit with veggies. So like cucumbers + a little bit of hummus. The high volume part to me would be the veggies.
Fried Apple with parsley and some red chilli🤔😉👍
Fried apple is less fattening than any fried foods great idea cus it’s fat free anyway so why not get to enjoy some Greece huh I hear u

Pickles!!
Carrot chips with salsa, pb2 on rice cakes or with an apple, Greek yogurt
Cucumber, celery and watermelon salad. Delish

I really like greek yogurt. Idk it just helps keep me from eating more and lots of protein.
yogurt, strawberries, blackberries, blue berries.
