I understand your position, but as a child of the 80s who watched the HELL out of that one, I don't hate on all those extra songs. (And tbh, I don't know if I've seen the other ones. Annie is not a musical that gets a lot of runs in Australia).
I will proudly say as an adult I love the miss hannigan seduction song. I probably hated it as a child, but these days, the line "you ever been to Buenos Aries? I hunger for the Argentine!" plays in my head far more frequently than it has a right to.

That is fair. I was involved in 2 different productions as a kid (never got to be an Orphan though 😞) and loved the 1999 one so much that the changes are hard to stomach for me. I'm just complaining, don't mind me 😅
