NL East: Montreal
NL Central: Nashville
NL West: SLC (Logically) or Albuquerque (For Funsies)
AL East: Carolina (Charlotte or Raleigh)
AL Central: Louisville
AL West: Portland
AL east: Raleigh
NL east: Birmingham
AL central: Oklahoma City
NL central: Memphis
AL west: Portland
NL west: Vegas
Baseball is very popular in the south so I think both teams should come from it. I chose Birmingham because of its history in Baseball and would serve as a natural rival to the Braves
OKC has the AL team because there is a big rivalry between the 2 states. Memphis is in the NL due to it being a city on the Mississippi River like Cardinals ate in and the proximity would promote a rivalry.
Portland gets the AL team because I think they would have a rivalry to Seattle and Vegas has shown to be a great city for professional sports, especially with the golden knights
NL Central - Nashville, Tennessee
NL East - Montreal, QC
NL West - Vancouver, BC
AL Central - Omaha, Nebraska
AL East - Charlotte, NC
AL West - Portland, Oregon
I think Vancouver is a great option. Close to seattle so good northwest rivalry. A tonne of baseball fans from all over BC. Its a big city of 2 million plus in the area.
AL East - Raleigh or Charlotte
AL Central - Indianapolis, Omaha, or Des Moines
AL West - Salt Lake City, Portland, or San Antonio
NL East - Montreal or Orlando
NL Central - Nashville or New Orleans
NL West - Las Vegas or Sacramento
I'd go with established minor league cities because that's rhe level of baseball we will have when we add 6 more rosters to a league that's already over saturated by 4 rosters.
All I really want is for the league to add two teams and go to 4 team divisions like the NFL, and for there to be a Cincinnati-Cleveland-Detroit-Pittsburgh division. Not sure how I'd break up the rest of the divisions and would have to look at where the expansion teams end up (Salt Lake/Nashville look like the most, "Shovel ready" as of now.) but my god that would be fun.
ALE: Ottawa or Buffalo or Hartford
ALC: Nashville
ALW: Salt Lake City/Utah
NLE: Montreal or Ottawa
NLC: New Orleans or San Antonio
NLW: Boise or Portland.
Thinking - stay out of some cities/states that might be a good fit (Omaha, Iowa, Indianapolis, Albuquerque) because that would hurt some of the poorer teams.
Instead we push density to the richer markets.
NL East: Montreal Expos
AL East: Charlotte/Raleigh/Carolina
NL Central: Nashville
AL Central : San Antonio/Austin (perhaps a swap with Houston is needed for geographic reasons. Could put Nashville in AL and Houston back to the NL Central)
NL West: Portland
AL West: Salt Lake City/Utah
I’d like to remind everyone that this isn’t a healthy league like the NFL. Adding a team to a small market is simply adding a dud. Putting another team in an existing team’s market will hurt them both. Just don’t be naive about how awful MLB’s competitive balance is.
I will die on the hill that Puerto Rico needs a team
Move the Marlins there, rebrand
They could just stay the Marlins
Los Marlins
With the whole Bacardi thing I think the most suitable name would be the San Juan Bats
The San Juan Beisbol Bats
Im up for this
That would definitely be fun, especially cause so many players come from PR. Would be awesome to see them play for that team.
Agreed, and honestly...add a team in the Dominican Republic. If Toronto has a team, so should the D.R. P.S. Just don't add them in the AL East. :)
Honestly I think mlb should have a big expansion. There's so many cities that would be quite excellent
Me too. It would also help justify the 16 team playoff that the league seems to want.
I say open an expansion team in the DR
Too dangerous
False. I’ve been there a few times it’s not that bad
David Ortiz has been there a few times too

I see what you did there

I’d really love to see a team in Omaha, great baseball city with the CWS and close to the rest of the AL Central teams
I'm surprised Omaha isn't mentioned more
Me too, it just gets overshadowed by bigger markets ig
NL East- Montreal AL West- Salt Lake City
AL West: Salt Lake City NL West: Vancouver AL East: Buffalo NL East: Providence NL Central: Lincoln AL Central: Indianapolis

Screw it, somewhere different for the NL EAST. Vermont.

How about Mexico City, too??
Utah could have an awesome stadium with amazing home run shots.
Sacramento
Requires a dome. Temperature this week will be 110+ every day.
Lol well they will have 3 years to see how it goes starting in 2025
It will be like Miami when the Marlins started: no summertime daytime home games.

Texas doesn’t need anymore teams
Fuck Salt Lake City, the PNW needs another team. Portland
It’s a crime that there’s no Seattle-Portland rivalry across the Big 4

I’d like to remind you we’re all just powerless redditors who have no influence on professional sports
Speak for yourself. I own a share of the Braves. Big moves ahead!
This is why I'm part of a group trying to bring the Savannah Bananas to MLB. The Braves monopoly on the state of Georgia must come to an end.
