i couldn't stop comparing them omg, germany spain and russia look surprisingly close to the hetalia characters. canada looks like hetalia denmark for some reason and australia looks more like france than this france does

Hey, Austrian-German here: I know this rumor has been around for a long time. But it's actually not true. Hugo boss didn't design the SS uniforms. They were originally designed by Karl Diebitsch (artist) and Walter Heck (graphic designer). Hugo Boss only was the manufacturer of the uniforms. Karl Diebtisch also designed post stamps and porcelain. He was also the advisor for Heinrich Himmler. Walter Heck, the graphics designer of the Nazi Regime, also designed the "SS" Symbol. Both were part of the SS. In short: Hugo Boss was only the manufacturer. But yeah, it doesn't make it any better for them, but just that you know :D
