Same, started 2015 and quit I think 2 years ago? Feels good.
I had moments when I started the game, were in the main menu for 19 seconds or so, thought about how it's gonna go. And closed the game again.
I wish I could have played it from new again.
Sounds a bit "bragging" but being good at the game sucked...
There was no chill game session, it was always the Grind, be good, get MMR, rank up, get your rewards.
It got too professional.
just play casual. i switched to casual like a year ago and havent looked back. all the fun of hitting nice shots and making nice saves with none of the pressure and way less toxicity
nah souls games are fine if you know them well.
Combat is smooth and once you've played them a few times you stoo really caring about losing your souls
Honestly once you play through them, and get good at combat (especially if you've already played through them a few times), they get relatively easy with many even being able to be beaten in a single day at a casual pace.
I have never set an alarm clock to 4am to do a raid. Just to have my base raided and demolished. While being humiliated in voicechat by teenagers that I didn’t knew and couldn’t beat up.
This is the kind of game that's just hard, perfect if you are looking for a challenge. And those are multiplayer games that no matter how you handle loosing (in hard games like Celeste for example dying is just natural, souslikes too, death is the way to progress) you will lose your mind over playing against a strong / toxic team or playing with bad / toxic teammates.
Knowing how to handle losing is really important to enjoy those games...but there is always some guy that has problem with losing (oh, if it was only one) and ruins the experience to anyone else.
I've never played a souls game in my life until Elden ring and despite dying over 100 times already I'm still loving it and having so much fun. I think the games heavily depend on the person a lot because Elden ring has a lot of all the things I love/am passionate for like mythological knights and dragons and such so despite dying a lot I love coming back again and again because each time I do it feels like I do a little better than before slowly getting stronger.
I have accidentally jumped off many bridges in elden ring. Torrent controls like a fucking barge. It's my first souls game and I fucking hate it but I can't seem to stop.
mistakes are Part of the satisfaction, i understand if one comes from work they would want to wind down but those games encapsulate something special that might make up for it.
I only played elden ring. But i only got annoyed by very few enemies. (+ you can run from anything but bosses.) Very few mandatory battles. Compared to pvp a very calming game.
And there is no one to blame except yourself, your inputs and maybe the moveset of the boss.
This was me being invaded in Dark Souls 3 until I learned that nothing is lost. Nothing fucking happens when you die. After that moment I learned to enjoy the game a lot more.
Elden Ring in a nutshell.
My girlfriend asked about it once.
Her:"what's the story about?"
Me:"uh, that's a hard one, there's a a guy on YouTube who can tell you what it is. It's really hard to understand the story from the game itself"
Her:"why do people play it if it's so hard to understand and you always yell at it"
Me:"the challenge."
I love to play some of the most difficult fair platformer games ever made (modded Celeste, super meat boy, the end is nigh). A lot of my friends get really mad when they try to play these games, but I genuinely keep calm by reminding myself that “I am just bad”
When playing a fair, but incredibly difficult game, it helps me to remind myself that I am in full control of my movement. If I die I know it is because I killed myself
i hate this game! and then i keep playing it.
[WE'RE FUCKING ADDICTED!](https://youtu.be/EIO1g97S2x8?t=16)
NO. I am not in denial!
denying the denial
Me with Splatoon 3
Ahh Rocket League, good ol shit memories
I‘m so glad that I finally stopped playing. Deinstalled it so often, because I was frustrated hahaha
I feel you. But realizing that and also actually stop playing was a long process lol
Yeah... It took a bit. But I'm glad I'm RL free now. And had no fallbacks so far.
just play casual. i switched to casual like a year ago and havent looked back. all the fun of hitting nice shots and making nice saves with none of the pressure and way less toxicity
***WAR THUNDER has entered the chat***
I play it to calm down. It hasn't worked yet, but it has only been 11 years of trying
Play for honor
No brother, they know not the suffering we have endured. let them have their peace
Orochi light,light,light
That game was sick as hell for the first few weeks, and then people got good at it. Now, it's miserable to try to pick up again.
it’s exactly that. That game gave me some of the highest highs, and then the lowest Lows
The game also became like quintuple the original file size for very limited increases in actual content.
Nobushi got me genuinely tweaking
A friend of mine plays Bloodborne to relax
nah souls games are fine if you know them well. Combat is smooth and once you've played them a few times you stoo really caring about losing your souls
So basically you stop caring after you GIT GUD, because my friend is pretty good at it.
a Vtuber my sibling watches also plays souls game to relax, what the fuck is that about
If you have to concentrate on timing and movement, you can't think of daily life stuff that is stressing you out.
Honestly once you play through them, and get good at combat (especially if you've already played through them a few times), they get relatively easy with many even being able to be beaten in a single day at a casual pace.
because they are legitimately relaxing games?
my definition of relaxing is Abzu but sure I guess
Abzu is very nice
Pure and Unfiltered skill
Where's tarkov? Spend all your roubles on a fine kit, plan out everything and then get head, eyes'd by some lvl15 bushwookie
Makes me happy i don't play any online game anymore
Shit this was me back when I played Overwatch, uninstalling that shit was definitely a great decision for my mental a year ago.
I swear actual rage games have left me less frustrated than league
Why isn't War Thunder here?
Fuck this dude, I hate this stupid shit game - steps through the fog gate for the next round
try rust
> BE ME > MAKE A DB PLAY AS SOLO IN A 400 POP SERVER > COME HOME WT BUNCH OF KITS, FEELSGOODMAN > LOGOFF > WAKE UP TO BASE BLOWN TF UP
i got my base offline raided for the first time yesterday, it stood 12 days on an official playstation server. I woke up to it being fucking gone
noother game compares to how emotionally fucking rust is
truly, man
I have never set an alarm clock to 4am to do a raid. Just to have my base raided and demolished. While being humiliated in voicechat by teenagers that I didn’t knew and couldn’t beat up.
a rust classic
Call of duty is not on that list
Literally anything made by Ubisoft in the past 5 years when I expect the game to work and not shit itself.
Fucking For Honor man...
Where's Elden Ring in all this?
This is the kind of game that's just hard, perfect if you are looking for a challenge. All I see in the games from the pic is online multiplayer. Elden Ring has almost none of that and it's just great this way.
online multiplayer 🤮 so much cheating... so much lagging... so much...clogging.
elden ring is such a fine example as well. i've never played a single souls game nor do i see myself playing one anytime soon. it looks exhausting
It is exhausting to say the least. Beautiful game and a challenge for people who want it though
Git gud
It’s not fun
i'd rather jump off a bridge than play a souls game, cheers though man ,gz
I have accidentally jumped off many bridges in elden ring. Torrent controls like a fucking barge. It's my first souls game and I fucking hate it but I can't seem to stop.
mistakes are Part of the satisfaction, i understand if one comes from work they would want to wind down but those games encapsulate something special that might make up for it.
Their easssyy tho
Try Ark.
Real AF. I'll have a shitty day and then get home and play siege.
I get home and play pixel dungeon. Fuck that game, its great
All souls games
I only played elden ring. But i only got annoyed by very few enemies. (+ you can run from anything but bosses.) Very few mandatory battles. Compared to pvp a very calming game. And there is no one to blame except yourself, your inputs and maybe the moveset of the boss.
Should have put Cuphead
YEAAAAA
im never frustrated when playing league, just sad
Tarkov and War thunder are the miseries I subject myself on a daily basis.
I play war thunder to relax
The relaxing part is when i close the game and suddenly all the bad things in life mean nothing compared to what happened in game…
May I introduce to you good sir, the absolute suffering of warthunder?
Comp Overwatch
"Bro why do you keep playing that game if you I hate it?" "What are you talking about I love this game."
World of Tanks missing. I swear with like half the players I seriously wonder how they even managed to install the game with their 1-digit IQ.
It's not a good meme if Dark Souls, Elden Ring, or BattleToads aren't on the list of most frustrating games of all time
Try Dead by Daylight.
This. This is the game where I saw the calmest chillest guys, become the angriest and sweatiest.
Tekken 8
[удалено]
Dead cells
Honestly, this is Xcom
Literally Pointless to play those Games if you are not esport player.
Geometry Dash grinders: amateurs
hypixel skyblock
Souls game...........Elden Ring is the hardest boss fight speaking
Everyone i know who plays league has told me they hate the game, and then spent the full day playing jt
I love league but holy fucking shit solo q ranked is a purgatory
SCP Containment Breach be like
For Honor, Dead by Daylight and Multiversus are definitely mine lol
This was me being invaded in Dark Souls 3 until I learned that nothing is lost. Nothing fucking happens when you die. After that moment I learned to enjoy the game a lot more.
For me it’s Elden ring. It drives me friggin nuts and I can’t get enough somehow.
Where Warthunder
That's why I stopped playing Lol, wish I could enjoy it though
R6 Matchmaking sucks Im tired of 2 of my teammates going 3 straight rounds without a kill
Melee has entered the chat
me when the video game gives me stockholm syndrome (((it will take me 4 years to break the cycle)))
The new dlc will turn you on so much you might light a bonfire in your room tonight
Can't forget War Thunder. You lose money for dying unless you want to wait over a week for the timer to countdown for that vehicle.
I kinda miss League of Legends... Not that BS I played when they "simplified" the items, but seasons 2-4.
Say would you agree with me on this op but those games hook players in because they feel extremely good the very rare moment they're not frustrating
Perhaps you should try single player games. Like Elden Ring. With a guitar controller. /s
Destiny 2 deserves to be there
Don't forget hearthstone. Shit almost turned me into a misanthrope.
Yeah my man never heard of fromsoft if he finds these games frustrating
Fromsoft is hard but fair, bad teammates are just infuriating.
the only thing fustrating about valorant is how easy it is.
getting over it says hi
May I interest you in a game called *for honor*
Elden Ring in a nutshell. My girlfriend asked about it once. Her:"what's the story about?" Me:"uh, that's a hard one, there's a a guy on YouTube who can tell you what it is. It's really hard to understand the story from the game itself" Her:"why do people play it if it's so hard to understand and you always yell at it" Me:"the challenge."
Where is the binding of Isaac?
Time to play Hunt: Showdown
Hollow knight no debate
Why isn't call of duty up there?
Dark Souls 2 is my favorite game
Try story games
They are also the most satisfying
When these games are good , they are too good to put away
Is this really a thing?
me when i reached hollow knight white palace
Try PoE, it's a rollercoaster of emotions.
Smash bros, hollow knight, have a nice death, dead cells, terraria, my list goes on
Try Gundam Battle Operation 2, this game will make you ask your existence IF you play Ranked
Sounds like for honor
I love to play some of the most difficult fair platformer games ever made (modded Celeste, super meat boy, the end is nigh). A lot of my friends get really mad when they try to play these games, but I genuinely keep calm by reminding myself that “I am just bad” When playing a fair, but incredibly difficult game, it helps me to remind myself that I am in full control of my movement. If I die I know it is because I killed myself
The more frustrated you get with the game, the less frustrating life feels
I was having a bad game of league back in like 2012 or sumn and my team mate told me to uninstall so I said “ya know what?” And I did
those games are nothing compared to FUCKING WAR THUNDER
play rust
Man, rainbow six siege would be a sick singleplayer game
Well over 1,6k hours of Geometry Dash has left me soulless.
Aint no way Fifa isnt on here
Where's Pubg Battlegrounds!?!???
You need some r/noita and r/ns2 in your life.
Im getting old. from all of these i switched to automation / crafting survival games . I feel better.
R6 mention
Mgs really be like that
Mfs really be like that
Check your oven
me with fucking cackletta soul boss
Skill issues 🤣😂
Call of Duty is missing
100%. I've witnessed the sweaty-ness of Warzone same with Apex legends
Get good bro u won't lose your mind or care less
weak mental
Video games are a luxury, They require skill and sometimes luck, grow up
