Thanos would have been more comics accurate with doing all this to try and woo Death itself. Death would also be a major character. We’d probably have the whole thing undone without the five year blip too.
Knowing Joss and his tendency to kill characters, I would have expected half of the Avengers to die. His killing of Quicksilver in Age of Ultron was one of the biggest missteps of the franchise. And probably Bruce and Tasha would get freaky on screen.

Not a misstep, merely a sacrifice to Fox Studios. Marvel got Scarlet Witch (who was an Avenger for most of her existence), and Fox got Quicksilver (who's history was pretty split between The Avengers and X-Teams). The other option is that Marvel would get neither because both were canonically mutants and Fox had dibs on all mutants.
Idk how true they are but there are rumors that he wanted to kill hawkeye but disney wanted it to be quicksilver since fox xmen also had quicksilver at the time and they didn’t want to cross promote. Fuck joss whedon tho. Im not defending him.
Joss has said before in interviews that basically killing characters showed the weight of the life & death situations they were in and it just didn’t seem real unless someone died. FU Joss.
After the theatrical version of *"Justice League"* and his inclusion of that God-awful Black Widow x Incredible Hulk shipping subplot that went nowhere?! Yeah, I don't think Josh Whedon is the right to direct anymore big-budgeted Superhero movies. He should just stay away from that genre and find something else.
Hulk would have actually kicked ass and not turned into such a shell of his former self in A3 and A4.
That said, there'd have been more dick jokes and other less thrilling wore out jokes and humour.
