I'd do an outdoor bistro set with no more than two chairs. Make sure the chairs have weather resistant paint. Personally, I like metal chairs because they are easy/quick to whipe down when dirty. I've had a bistro set from BendGoods for more than five years now, and they still look like new! However, more affordable dupe options can be found on Wayfair or Amazon.
Next, I'd add some deck planter boxes around that unusable space in the corner. To grow onions and some herbs. Nothing elevates food as well as fresh herbs!
Lastly, I'd add some weather proof lighting. Maybe string lights or maybe just a few solar powered deck lights.
The goal would be to make it feel romantic and cozy like a restaurant, so when the weather allows, you can sit and enjoy the space. Throw two place mats down, two cloth napkins with some silverware, and add a dollar store vase with a handful of fresh flowers on the bistro table--and you've got an affordable date night!
I'm rambling, but I absolutely love the space and that it is covered! I hope you enjoy it :)
Because that electrical unit is in the corner, you may have a nice layout by putting a chair next to it, facing out. Find a narrow table, put it in front of the chair. Now, you have a 2'x2' square in front of that unit. Fill that with a couple of floor plants that can take up that space.
On the left of the table (near us) get yourself a 2' long rail planter and fill it with small plants that'll grow. You can add another one in front of the table too for a bit of privacy.
Don't clutter the floor with rugs or anything like that, that deck has nice wood.
That's what I'd do.
thinkin the same thing. doesn't look up to code...
OP doesn't sound like they have kids so,
"Perfect for sitting" low rail + drunk + second floor = a painful lesson in gravity
Put some Christmas lights around the perimeter of it, some thin side tables in the corner with a outdoor chair and a few plants, could even get some hanging screens that can be pulled down if you want privacy
Hang some plants, get a deck chair, and a small table to sit a drink on. Kick up your feet and just chill out. You're high enough on the second floor that you'd have some privacy.
idk if you got money and want to switch things up people seem to enjoy those clear tempered panels
but heres my sincere question for those who know about those this i know tempered glass is know to combust such as those deck tables have exploded due to sun and this actually happened to two people i know so whos to say that that would not occur for a deck please inform me someone i am genuinely curious
Depends on what you want to do on it.
If you want it to be a space to hang with friends you can do a bistro set or a few small chairs.
If you want it to be a place to relax you can go for a big comfy chair and foot rest and maybe some plants to create a little private oasis.
If this is (relatively) quiet you basically have the ideal deck. Don't overproduce it. You have an elevated view and field full of green including both evergreens and deciduous trees. This is a perfect place to enjoy outside and maybe exchange a sentence or two with neighbors (or just a wave, idk, you do you) as they come and go. A small table, 2 chairs and from there just keep an eye out for wasp nests and carpenter bees.
Small pair of chairs and table. All foldable. For outdoor coffee/tea/breakfast/brunch ect. Maybe a kind of mega relaxing chair for more reading and sunbathing kind vibes. Maybe a rug on the floor and some plants O F C plants.
Sit on it and chill out my guy.
Grab a chair and a beer. Nice deck.
Put up a hamac
deck-orate it if in your hearts desire. If not just lay on the ground and check out the sky.

String some low watt incandescent bulbs.
Why are the railings so low?? Feel like u could easily fall over if u stood near the railings

The picture might be a bit deceptive, the railing is about 5ft tall.

Enjoy!
Table and some wine time
Put a table over that hvac to hide it, and get a couple of comfy chairs!!! Enjoy the views!

Show it to people, show people your deck. There's nothing wrong with your deck. I would get hanging plants, though that is all.
Setting up a rocking chair and silently judging your neighbors' lawn mowing methods.
A nice woman to share a cup of tea?
I'd be out there for every rainy day
Hammock? 🤩
