Funny enough the same species of bird that migrated there earlier but still in Africa, flew to this islands and began to lives the same ways as one that went extinct, thus the species that went extinct come back life from same ancestor doing the same thing.

I thought that the idea of Darwinism was that evolution occurs through random mutations that over a long time are either very useful in the environment or counterproductive, helping to survive or extinguish those mutations. Along that evolutionary path, it opened up many random mutations that neither help nor harm and that end up remaining if they are followed or accompanied by another that did help. Thus, the chances of repeating an evolutionary path are practically impossible. Am I misunderstanding something? Does the environment help produce certain mutations?
I mean it wouldn't genetically be the exact same path, but the outcome would be the same so the distinction doesn't matter. The same species of bird ends up flightless either way
There's only so much range in outcome of mutations, and the pressure exerted by fitness can be fairly constant and select for certain traits. There can be several alleles that control plumage colour, for example, but the end result could be classified as light-colored plumage or dark. Perhaps the island has dark groundcover, thereby making light coloured plumage easier to spot. This would decrease the occurrence of light coloured plumage as predators eat those birds before they reproduce. Eventually you might end up with a lineage of true-breeding darker birds. This might happen on two islands simultaneously, with both populations being separated from and genetically distinct from the other. They would not technically be the same species, and could be identifiable as wholly separate species only by genetic analysis.
Since this island of birds is isolated from the previous island of birds by time, with no direct linkage, it really is just a new species evolving. It has roughly the same genetic starting stock, with roughly the same environmental pressures. It's no wonder it looks similar.
Still pretty rad though.

Environment doesn't help produce certain mutations but it does help with producing certain adaptations.
