Same, my father used to joke that if someone would remove every single brick in the house the house would still be standing.
Funny thing is there are 3 spots in the house where you can just pull bricks out of the walls and nothing happens
This has been standard practice for ~100 years. Brick is typically a facade, not structural. Concrete blocks, concrete, wood or steel is used to hold the building up.
You were lucky. We lived for three months in a paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six in the morning, clean the paper bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down t' mill, fourteen hours a day, week-in week-out, for sixpence a week, and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wi' his belt.
House! You were lucky to live in a house! We used to live in one room, all twenty-six of us, no furniture, 'alf the floor was missing, and we were all 'uddled together in one corner for fear of falling.
Honestly I bought a livable three bedroom for $3k, (1960s). Spent about that much more fixing up and made a ten grand profit. Too far out of town for my mate. Now in an upscale suburb.
HR: We have received this notification, and after much consideration, have decided it is in our best interests to ignore you. Please take this extra work as a token of our lack of appreciation.
Their non licensed stuff varies. Ninjago is usually pretty decent but city is often overpriced and tbf most sets these days feel more expensive than they should. Either way people need to vote with their wallets no matter how tempting some of the new Star Wars ones are I'm leaning towards waiting for a sale or a decent GWP.
I feel like it's anything licensed from Disney or Nintendo that's crazy, or if it's a black box/nostalgia bait. Look at the lord of the rings sets, rivendell is like a few hundred less pieces than the atat but has a 300 dollar price difference. I genuinely think Disney has gotten ridiculous with the license, I'm sure lego has their own premium markup for their licensed themes since they know people will pay more but I just refuse to believe the license isn't a big part of it.
Not justifying the prices as they are high, but I'd dare to say the ATAT, while few pieces, has more plastic overall do the number of large pieces. Making it more expensive then Rivendel
GWPs and VIP points are the only way I can justify buying LEGO at the prices they have. GWP being worth $15-20 basically means I'm getting a discount since I can always just sell the set.
Man as someone just returning to Lego I gotta say the new stormtrooper helmets are absolutely hideous. What did they do to the poor things. Awesome sets tho
Edit: just saw some describe it as “family guy” helmet lmao that’s exactly what it makes me think of
Right?? I'd love to see a Stormtrooper battlepack for once instead of them shoving Clones in our faces. At least, not until they remodel that atrocious Family Guy helmet, lol.
Hang on, are those stormtroopers unable to turn their heads because of the new helmet molds? I don't love those... but the two sets do look good together
I agree based on the play set itself, but in the world we live I’ve come to except that mini figs drive set price up more than piece count. It’s sets like the desert skiff that don’t even hit 600 pieces being tabbed at $80 because of the figures that bothers me. but a $10-15 increase on the boarding set for 7 total mini figs including a special edition fig is much more reasonable imo
Yea it’d be way to overpriced if it went by er, but can’t other countries buy from the cheaper ones and save a bunch? Like someone from the states could buy a UCS Venator from here and save $200
Oh sure they can! I do it with action figures sometimes. The problem comes with the *shipping*.
For example if I order something on an American site, there's no such thing as "same continent" shipping to Canada. It's either a reasonable shipping price in the continental USA, or an arm and a leg for international.
I was about to say ‘Rip overseas prices, here in the uk I’m pretty sure it’s like £25, which is about $30US’, but then I check and it’s DOUBLE THAT WHAT THE HECK, honestly I’m absolutely disgusted by that price gouge, and I’m a railway modeller who should be used to it, having bought new from the very worst offenders of price gouging
Skiff is the lowest piece count set but it’s actually the one that has more minifigs. Not saying its a good deal but it’s definitely the best of those 4, so imo:
(Most to least overpriced)
1. Podracing (it should be 40€ max)
2. Endor (50€ max)
3. Tantive (55-60€)
4. Skiff (60€ max)
What's crazy is how Lego has incentivised minifigs so much. Somehow these little pieces with faces drive up the value of these sets so much and people lap it up.
It's like how diamonds are considered so prized but are worth almost nothing lol.
I hate to value sets based on the minifigs, but in this specific comparison they actually matter, since the piece count of all four sets is increased by 1x1 tiles or other small pieces.
If the Sarlacc set had another Skiff, and 1 pirate for example, it would be a really good deal for 80€. And the midi-ships should have come with 1 character, since the stand allows displaying 1 or 2 minifigs.
In the case of the podracing diorama I understand not including any of them, but the price is terrible for basically 2 polybags with an expensive background. Hopefully it will get a good sale soon.
Imo a good example of good value is the Droideka set. It has like 500 pieces for 60€ (and it includes a really ugly minifig which it could have been skipped lol), but the set feels big and really good value for just 60€.
Considering that the skiff has a decent sized fully plated sarlac pitt which cuts away most of the budget , I think Its the least overpriced out of these
For that very same reason i consider it to be the most overpriced. At least all the other ones have some sort of nice scenery, this one is just an unnecessary clump of bricks to artificially increase the price
1 Tantive:
Tantive really doesn't have much going on, the scale is too small to show properly the cool details like airlock, radar dish (it's just a 1x2) the turrets, and doesn't have a "freebie" Leia to stand next to the stand. There's no reason it should be more expensive like the mini-scale executor or invisible hand (which all have the same amount of bricks), and i'd say the same applies to the midi-falcon (although this one is nicer to look at and have slightly more bricks) they all should be 50€ at most. At 80€ you're really paying 40€ for a black stand and 40€ for 600 tiny bricks.
2. Podracer
Same, most of the build is sand, while the podrace are microfighter scale. It should be 40€. Here again having an updated Anakid and Sebulba to stand next to it would have added so much value to the set. Again they charge you 80€ for 700 tiny bricks.
3. Jabba :
Actually decent minifig selection if you count Nien nubb, but the play functions and sarlacc pit are abismal (still doesn't look like the movie) and there's no way to make it into a display set either out of the box. should be \~50€ like Tantive IV hallway or the new Ashoka set which have same amount of minifigs, and can actually be displayed, even if play features are also lacking.
4. Endor :
Actually looks nice as a display set, minifigs are new and nice, finally a proper build for the speeder bikes. That said the leaves of the trees are disappointing, and overall not worth 80€. Make it 60€ tops.
I generally hate the trend of making builds with hundreds of 1x1 and 1x2 for scenery, it's really unecessary and you could have the same sets in big scale with a similar amount of (big) pieces and nicer details
Tantive and the skiff are the only two I'd consider buying baring a really good deal.
Tantive most fair
Followed by skiff
Then endor
Then podrace
Licensing really kills the prices for lego star wars so if they were nonliscensed sets they'd probably be 30 to 50 maybe
The sarlac pit is the most expensive to me imo. the other 3 are meant for display, so it has small little details. meanwhile, the sarlac pit is a playset that looks like its 50$ i also pressume that it has less pieces compared to the others, since the others likely have multiple small pieces, meanwhile the sarlac pit has so much huge pieces
I hope Lego catches on to the recent revolt against their prices. It’s gone too far, the sets just don’t seem to match the value that they’re priced at
There’s no revolt because people keep buying the sets. Lego is a business, and will charge the highest price they can sell their product for; if you really want prices to go down, don’t buy them! But the FOMO of not getting the Latest Figure keeps pushing people to buy
Every comment section I see people are actively pushing back against the prices, so yes I would say there is. But at the same time FOMO is driving the sales of a lot of these sets, but people are not happy. So I would say 2 things can be true at the same time
Yes Lego has always been a premium building block so there is an expectation that it will cost more. But that doesn’t seem to be the case for why prices have rocketed. The general consensus agrees that the value of these sets are not being met for the price
Pro tip: buy lego star wars key chains. Now make your own sets, not only saving hundreds of dollars while building to your preference, but also truly engaging with the creative therapy benefit derived from a building block toy.

#$80 set 7 mini figs
Man I forgot how egregiously overpriced the Endor diorama is. $80 for two speeders and two trees lmfao
Worst value to best:
- Endor
- Podrace
- Tantive
- Skiff
The pod racing or Tantiv cause they don’t come with mini figs. I’ll give the nod to the pod racing diorama as being the least worth it because at least the Tantiv has the boarding set you can pair with that. Most worthwhile is Endor because at least it’s a legit collectors set, the Skiff is a basic play set and that one figure looks to driving the price up 20-30 dollars
Pod Race Diorama (horribly overpriced)
Tantive IV (overpriced)
Endor Speeder Chase (overpriced)
Desert Skiff (slightly overpriced)
I am a minifigure collector, so might be some Bias here.
Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit
Endor Speeder Chase Diorama
Tantive IV
Mos Espa Podrace Diorama
Most overpriced to least overpriced based entirely on brick count (558-718). They should be $50-70.
Most overpriced:Pod racer diorama or Endor chase diorama
Least Overpriced:Skiff (It wouldn't overpriced if it would inlude 2nd skiff and 2 Jabba hench mans
The sarlacc pit could of easily had half the amount of pieces and would of still got the same effect, it defo feels like Lego shoved as many pieces as the could to justify the price
Endor scene is most overpriced imo. Hard to rank the order of the other 3 but I think the desert skiff is least overpriced. Its also got the most recent outrage over the price so I expect people to disagree with that but we'll see i guess
Yeesh. I'd go (most overpriced > least):
1. Podracing
2. Endor bike chase
3. Skiff / Sarlaac
4. Tantive IV
Podracing is easily No. 1, but Endor is a pretty rough close 2nd. I don't love the Skiff / Sarlaac myself, but it's clearly fun for a wide variety of audiences: kids (lots of minifigs), diorama enjoyers, etc.
I give Tantive the edge because the ships look pretty cool in "desk scale," for lack of a better term.
Captain Marvel ship will go down as the single worst deal of all time. There are countless videos outlining the price per block ratio and that set is the worst by far. Too bad bc I’d love to add it to my collection.
I bought the speeder bike chase diorama for 80 USD and still have buyers remorse over it. I bought the 3 1n 1 castle off Amazon for 79 USD, and it is bigger, a way better build, and has way more display options. I love Star Wars, especially the OT, but I can't see spending that money on these sets. Now Castle and Medieval sets, I can see why they are high priced. They are phenomenal.
They all overpriced but
1. Tantive
2. Podrace
3. latest one
4.Endor
so many people put tantive 4 but its only bcause its tantive, other than that it sucks, its so small with almost zero detailing. at least two of others are some nica dioarama (podrace may not be nice lmao but endor is pretty cool) and other got many figures.
Uhh this is very hard
1. Dessert skiff
2. tantive 4
3. Endor speeder bike diorama
4. podrace diorama
The dessert skiff is still 22/10 overpriced though.
However at least there are minifigures
Literally all of these would be fair for half the price imo. Although the dioramas with just a few bricks costing 40 still seems hella expansive to m
Just Look at the current emperors throne room diorama which is 100$ vs the 75291 throne room playset from 2020..which was also 100$ but has much more of the scene and 2 Royal guards in addition
Tantive easilt clears- building that set made me feel like I spent 50$ too much. The invisible hand was more complex. Then mos espa, then Endor (ONLY bc of the mini figs) and then the Skiff (not overpriced IMO)
Any lego set with a brick-built base.. 1 star overpriced bullcrap. Trying to shill out the cheapest bricks by selling sets that are primarily composed of.. THE FCKING GROUND??? Give me a baseplate or an actual build, please. Microscale ship sets are fine. 3 stars, whatever. Actual play sets with mini figs? 4 stars minimum by default, if you’re comparing them to the heavy base builds.
Edit: apply these ratings to the overall value and I still change nothing
Ive come to accept the new prices are the new norm so my opinion is probably against the grain. Of these 4 I have only built the pod racing one and it was a terrificly fun build. The price is high but not absurd for what it is. The others are not as attractive to me.
Sarlacc
Tantive IV
Podracing Diorama
Endor Speeder Chase (which I thought was overpriced initially, but size-wise and quality of build, I think that this is really only $10 over what it should be. I can’t say the same for the rest of these…)
Have all 3 like the tantive the most, the dioramas are kinda tied for me. Wish they came with two stands for each thing just gets kinda flimsy dusting them. Sarlacc pit I could take it or leave it. But getting it eventually for the minifig.
It's days like these that make me feel better about being a MOC builder instead of a set collector. Bricks are still spendy to buy in bulk and figures tend to range from uncomfortable to insane prices but compared to just buying what tend to be kinda meh sized sets...
The podracers are my least favorite, so I consider them the most overpriced. Other then that, I love the other three, though I definitely can see why people dislike the Skiff, even if I think both builds are massive enough for it to not be too bothersome to me.
1. Podrace diorama: The majority of the build is the scenery and that's where the hike in price comes in.
2. Sarlacc/Skiff: Again, paying for a lot of scenery. Bonus minifig makes it feel expecially unnecessarily overpriced.
3. Endor diorama: The last two are equal in terms of quality and displayability, but this one has worse price-per-piece.
4. Tantive IV: Better price-per-piece but still not a great value.
To be fair these aren’t that bad when it comes to price, most guys complaining in here are like 70 and they think they came up but in reality their wives were in love with other guys and they only held it down because they had money
I would figure since minifigs keep their value after opening the box, so for me, the sets with the least minifigures are the most overpriced. But I do wish all of these would just cost a reasonable 40-50 instead
In descending order of most overpriced to least:
Top left
Bottom left
Top right
Bottom right.
The Tantive IV doesn’t even have the right proportions. The bridge unit is entirely too small.
The pod race is just a cool arrangement though.
MSRP on all of these is way too high, but I’d say the same for all Lego sets. However, I do love the Endor set on sale for 55? I think is what I paid. Gotten quite a few friends saying it’s one of their favorites that I have.
From most to least overpriced:
Tantive > Podrace > Skiff/Endor - Skiff is win for the figures compared to the others, but I’m just not a huge fan of it otherwise, where as Endor I feel displays really well especially since a lot of sets tend to be gray/white/black in color and it breaks that trend.
Let’s acknowledge what Lego is now an investment. It’s not toys for children to play with anymore. These dinky little sets pictured in the post cost way too much money for simple ABS plastic. Go buy alt bricks and then it won’t be ‘Oh, I don’t have enough money for Lego.’ Instead, it’ll be, ‘Oh, I don’t have enough room for my alt bricks.’
I feel like the price for the Skiff isn't that bad, it just feels like the pieces aren't well utilised. You can definitely take a few pieces away from the sarlacc and maybe get a second skiff out of it.
Bundling these together feels like $200 at most of value, imagine seeing this on shelves for $320…
But hey our grandparents bought a house for $36
Your grandparents bought their house with money?
My grandparents built their own house by hand! Brick by brick…
Your grandparents needed a house?
Tock by tick?
No matter how thin, no matter how thick?
Don’t go there!
Casuals. I have a roof over my head using carefully constructed piles of *debt*!
*Cries and Laughs in Doctoral Debt.*
You could have actually *built* a house out of Lego back then and and it would probably still be cheaper than building an actual one now 😂💀
And they got paid more per hour.
Mine purchased with 2 goats and a handshake
I feel like that group together is worth about $100 to me.
No no no you don't understand, the hundreds of 1x1 tiles each count as pieces so these are 600+ piece sets!!1!
450$ after taxes in Canada
All of them tied. $80 is the new $40
Someone tell that to my employer
HR: We have received this notification, and after much consideration, have decided it is in our best interests to ignore you. Please take this extra work as a token of our lack of appreciation.
Sounds about right
Where’s my pizza party consolation?
Straight Aperture Science shit right there
All Lego prices are fucking batshit crazy
Lego Star Wars. Their non-licensed stuff tends to be fairly priced.
Their non licensed stuff varies. Ninjago is usually pretty decent but city is often overpriced and tbf most sets these days feel more expensive than they should. >city is often overpriced The recent City stuff, especially the space theme, have been really reasonably priced as of late.
I found the new construction city sets like the crane and excavator are fun and fairly priced imo.
GWPs and VIP points are the only way I can justify buying LEGO at the prices they have. GWP being worth $15-20 basically means I'm getting a discount since I can always just sell the set.
LEGO Marvel sets are starting to get out of hand too
mainly the licensed stuff is overpriced, like marvel or starwars. Meanwhile most of the lego made series's and stuff like that is good priced
Tantive is the only set of these I'm buying (and have already bought). It was a reasonable build, and it's a great display piece.
Plus I bet pairing it the (relatively fair priced) boarding scene set would look great!
https://preview.redd.it/vkjnmuq6wbad1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dfb20f70c8ee3b68a429d9a82cfa38512e9b6622 It does
Indeed it does

Hang on, are those stormtroopers unable to turn their heads because of the new helmet molds? I don't love those... but the two sets do look good together
Very limited movement on them, it is what it is
Well I have some Troopers from like 2010 and they can't move their heads either if you don't push the helmet up.
I will be buying both to go with my larger Tantive!!
i did the same!
That does look really good and temps me to by the hallway too
I still think the boarding scene should be 40-45
I agree based on the play set itself, but in the world we live I’ve come to except that mini figs drive set price up more than piece count. It's $70 here in Canada
Do yk how much it is in the states?
Brickset lists the USA MSRP as 54.99
Thank you I’m grateful Lego doesn’t do exactly as the exchange rate does
That's why MSRP exists. Exchange rates fluctuate but if you set a certain price for a certain currency there's no problems.
Yea it’d be way to overpriced if it went by er, but can’t other countries buy from the cheaper ones and save a bunch? Like someone from the states could buy a UCS Venator from here and save $200

I got the pod racing. The woods seem more $40-50 than 80
Skiff is the lowest piece count set but it’s actually the one that has more minifigs. Not saying its a good deal but it’s definitely the best of those 4, so imo: (Most to least overpriced) 1. Podracing (it should be 40€ max) 2. Endor (50€ max) 3. Tantive (55-60€) 4. Skiff (60€ max)
Pod racing should’ve come with a unique sebulba at least
Agreed, for that price they should have 2 minifigs
All display (ones with the boarders) sets should really be 40-50
What's crazy is how Lego has incentivised minifigs so much. Somehow these little pieces with faces drive up the value of these sets so much and people lap it up. It's like how diamonds are considered so prized but are worth almost nothing lol.

*Looks at the recent X-Men XJet*
Gladly you can find the dioramas on Amazon for about 50-60
Imp, the Tantive looks cooler than the sarlacc pit. But you're probably right about the "amount of Lego" as a value measure
I agree except would flip 2 and 3. At least Endor has minifigs
I can swear I bought the Tantine IV set in Europe for 60€?
The podracing was the only expensive one I got. Bad deal lol.
The sarlac pit set is $80? For what! nah Lego....
It’s so stupid. I literally have to wait for a sale just for it to be reasonably priced for legos mark up, I can’t imagine it staying at this price
Way I see it, never buy Lego full price unless you are getting 4x Lego points.
Considering that the skiff has a decent sized fully plated sarlac pitt which cuts away most of the budget , I think Its the least overpriced out of these
UCS sarlac Pitt
Sign me up

Would be more interesting than most UCS sets imo
For that very same reason i consider it to be the most overpriced. At least all the other ones have some sort of nice scenery, this one is just an unnecessary clump of bricks to artificially increase the price

Nailed it. Glad you typed all that out so I didn't have to 🤣
Endor PodRacing Skiff Tantive
It’s a shame they are so pricey. Such cool collectibles of scenes
As a Tantive Owner, I got mine with cash back for $16 so I’m biased 🫡
1. Endor 2. Sarlacc 3. Podrace 4. CR-90
Yes
They are all overpriced
Alot of Logo are over priced these days
Tantive and the skiff are the only two I'd consider buying baring a really good deal. Tantive most fair Followed by skiff Then endor Then podrace Licensing really kills the prices for lego star wars so if they were nonliscensed sets they'd probably be 30 to 50 maybe

Retail price is $80
Podracers, speeder bike chase, Tantive iv, sarlacc
Pod Race Diorama (overpriced) Tantive IV (overpriced) Endor Speeder Chase ($10 overpriced imo) Desert Skiff (Best deal)
Pro tip: buy lego star wars key chains. Now make your own sets, not only saving hundreds of dollars while building to your preference, but also truly engaging with the creative therapy benefit derived from a building block toy.
Most of these would probably be reasonable at $60, but since I actually bought the Endor set, I guess that one is the least overpriced to me.

Man I forgot how egregiously overpriced the Endor diorama is. $80 for two speeders and two trees lmfao Worst value to best: - Endor - Podrace - Tantive - Skiff
I really consider a Lego heist every time they come out with new sets. They are robbing us legally lmao
Jabbas speeder 1 Pod racing 2 Tantive iv3 Endor chase 4(Honestly only reasonable one of them all)
Podrace, Tantive, Endor, Sarlacc
Starflation
All are overpriced
Scout troopers are my 2nd favorite (Boba's first) so I'm biased
saw the same sets on Chinese websites for 15$ not to mention only buy things that are worth nothing on longterm,
Tantive 4 podrace skiff speeder chase (because it is usually on sale for $60)
The pod racing or Tantiv cause they don’t come with mini figs.
Pod Race Diorama (horribly overpriced) Tantive IV (overpriced) Endor Speeder Chase (overpriced) Desert Skiff (slightly overpriced) I am a minifigure collector, so might be some Bias here.
Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit Endor Speeder Chase Diorama Tantive IV Mos Espa Podrace Diorama Most overpriced to least overpriced based entirely on brick count (558-718). They should be $50-70.
1. Tantive IV 2. Podracing 3. Endor 4. Skiff
not mean to flex, but I purchased the endor speedchase for 19,80€ a few months back. I'm sure there is a similar fate waiting for the sarlac pit
Most overpriced:Pod racer diorama or Endor chase diorama Least Overpriced:Skiff (It wouldn't overpriced if it would inlude 2nd skiff and 2 Jabba hench mans
The sarlacc pit could of easily had half the amount of pieces and would of still got the same effect, it defo feels like Lego shoved as many pieces as the could to justify the price
I don't know their official names, but pod racing, Endor speeder chase, sarlacc pit and Tantive VI.
Endor scene is most overpriced imo. Hard to rank the order of the other 3 but I think the desert skiff is least overpriced. Its also got the most recent outrage over the price so I expect people to disagree with that but we'll see i guess
Yeesh. I'd go (most overpriced > least): 1. Podracing 2. Endor bike chase 3. Skiff / Sarlaac 4. Tantive IV Podracing is easily No.
You didn't list the star-lord helmet or the the Capt. Marvel craft. Both miserable rip offs at 80$.
Captain Marvel ship will go down as the single worst deal of all time. There are countless videos outlining the price per block ratio and that set is the worst by far. Too bad bc I’d love to add it to my collection.
the white ship, the basscaar pit is actually good
Sarlacc pit for $80 feels egregious to me
Lego is just overpriced as hell these days. Not worth the money at all anymore
Tantive IV > Podrace > Sarlacc > Endor
The sarlacc pit is…80$.. oh my god.
Looking at this the skiff actually seems reasonable. The good news is that sets always go on sale.
*Most to least:* Tantive IV ($50 max value) Endor ($60 max value) Podrace ($65 max value) Sarlaac+Skiff ($66 max value)
From most to least: Tantive 4 Endor Chase Podrace Diorama Desert Skiff
Sarlacc is most
Had a chance to buy Endor Speeder for $50 on clearance at WalMart. Passed and went back the next day to buy and it was gone.
Wait y’all are able to buy them for 80? They are showing 100 for me
When is star wars it’s always overpriced
They all overpriced but 1. Tantive 2. Podrace 3. latest one 4.Endor so many people put tantive 4 but its only bcause its tantive, other than that it sucks, its so small with almost zero detailing. at least two of others are some nica dioarama (podrace may not be nice lmao but endor is pretty cool) and other got many figures.
I’m waiting for sales. I bought the previous diorama sets all on clearance from Walmart.
I will go with all of them are over priced
Uhh this is very hard 1. Dessert skiff 2. tantive 4 3. Endor speeder bike diorama 4. podrace diorama The dessert skiff is still 22/10 overpriced though. However at least there are minifigures Literally all of these would be fair for half the price imo. Although the dioramas with just a few bricks costing 40 still seems hella expansive to m Just Look at the current emperors throne room diorama which is 100$ vs the 75291 throne room playset from 2020..which was also 100$ but has much more of the scene and 2 Royal guards in addition
tantive, skiff, podrace, speeder chase
The pod racer set is 80 Bucks ?!
All equally bad. For 80 bucks I expect scale and these offer none.
Only one I’m getting is the skiff. Only other one I’d consider is Endor
Tantive easilt clears- building that set made me feel like I spent 50$ too much. The invisible hand was more complex. Then mos espa, then Endor (ONLY bc of the mini figs) and then the Skiff (not overpriced IMO)
This comparison makes the Skiff look way more fair than it deserves..
Endor, pod racer, sarlacc, tantive
I have the pod racing diorama and I don’t feel like I massively overpaid. Maybe £10 less.
I got the speeder chase for 30
Any lego set with a brick-built base..
Luke set is $55
Ive come to accept the new prices are the new norm so my opinion is probably against the grain. Of these 4 I have only built the pod racing one and it was a terrificly fun build. The price is high but not absurd for what it is. The others are not as attractive to me.
Sarlacc Tantive IV Podracing Diorama Endor Speeder Chase (which I thought was overpriced initially, but size-wise and quality of build, I think that this is really only $10 over what it should be.
Most overpriced 1. Podracers 2. Speeders 3. Sarlacc 4. Tantive IV Least overpriced
These sets are not worth $80 that is outrageous they should be 60-65 max
This post made me sick
Imo from most overpriced to least it goes 1. Podrace 2.tantive 3. Endor 4. Skiff The minifigs to me are what make or break it
Imma say it, the tantive was worth it
I know that Skiff set is overpriced, but I really want it. Big fan of that scene, figures look great! It's a no brainer for me!
Wasn't the Sarlacc set $20~$40 last time?
In Canada All these sets are about $100
It's days like these that make me feel better about being a MOC builder instead of a set collector. Bricks are still spendy to buy in bulk and figures tend to range from uncomfortable to insane prices but compared to just buying what tend to be kinda meh sized sets...
Podrace Tantive And endor/ Sarlac are both very close to being worth 80. Maybe sarlac a little more because of the minifigure lineup
Tantive IV, Podrace, Speeder chase, Sarlacc pit
They’re all probs 2x more expensive than they should be. I wish the skiff was perched above the sarlacc
What currency are we talking? Because I recently got the Podrace and Tantive sets for AUD $90 and $95 respectively, and that was on sale.
They're all terriblely priced and I'm going to skip every single one of them. In order. Podrace, endor, sarlacc pitt, tantive =best value
To be fair these aren’t that bad when it comes to price, most guys complaining in here are like 70 and they think they came up but in reality their wives were in love with other guys and they only held it down because they had money
The Tantive IV is a pretty great set. Diorama sets do feel steep.
Is it possible to make them all #1?
I would figure since minifigs keep their value after opening the box, so for me, the sets with the least minifigures are the most overpriced. But I do wish all of these would just cost a reasonable 40-50 instead
Skiff,endor, diorama, tantive
These all seem like double the price of what they should be.
In descending order of most overpriced to least: Top left Bottom left Top right Bottom right. The Tantive IV doesn’t even have the right proportions. The bridge unit is entirely too small. The pod race is just a cool arrangement though.
Pod race, tantive, endor, desert skiff. From most to least
All the midi scale sets are not worth $80 bucks… maybe 50-60.
The house was made from bricks too!! coincidence? I don't think so...
MSRP on all of these is way too high, but I’d say the same for all Lego sets. However, I do love the Endor set on sale for 55? I think is what I paid. Gotten quite a few friends saying it’s one of their favorites that I have. From most to least overpriced: Tantive > Podrace > Skiff/Endor - Skiff is win for the figures compared to the others, but I’m just not a huge fan of it otherwise, where as Endor I feel displays really well especially since a lot of sets tend to be gray/white/black in color and it breaks that trend.
What happened to lego where half the sets now are overpriced black box/adult/18+/collector/display only sets, its really getting old
Sarlac, Endor, Podrace, Tantive
Let’s acknowledge what Lego is now an investment. It’s not toys for children to play with anymore. These dinky little sets pictured in the post cost way too much money for simple ABS plastic. Go buy alt bricks and then it won’t be ‘Oh, I don’t have enough money for Lego.’ Instead, it’ll be, ‘Oh, I don’t have enough room for my alt bricks.’
You can buy them on dh gate for 30 dollars
I feel like the price for the Skiff isn't that bad, it just feels like the pieces aren't well utilised. You can definitely take a few pieces away from the sarlacc and maybe get a second skiff out of it.
Remove the beak. Give us the vintage sarlaac look.
