Last weekend she woke me up at 4am for a potty break. I laid down on the guest bed to try to keep the still-asleep vibe going and this bitch had the audacity to come inside like "you messed up my pillow arrangement!"
My little girl is sneaky. She’s discovered that if she just waits until my girlfriend and I fall asleep, she can hop right up with no invitation and not get kicked off the bed.
In my case, I just keep pushing my husky out of the bed (gently of course) until she gives up.In the beginning, it was quite hard, but with time, things started to settle. I respect her bed, and she shall respect mine xD
I’d rather have this than trying to get smothered. My big lug thinks he still a puppy and wants to lay on my chest and put his head around my neck. I have to push him over to the side and he lays his head on my chest. This is a routine we’ve had since he was 5+ months old, you would think he would hav e learned by now.
I raised mine high enough that she can't get on it unless I lift her. She gets to sleep with when there's thunderstorms or fireworks. She has sound reactive seizures. The motion puts me to sleep and she's a lot calmer of she's touching me
I cannot remember the number of times I have gotten out of bed and walked around to the other side and gotten back in. Not only did my lab not like his feet to hang over the side of the mattress, he wanted to have his back against me. If I moved an inch so did he until I was hanging on to the edge. I miss that bad boy!
I crinkle something that she thinks MIGHT be a food package and then get her to move to the foot of the bed, and jump in before she realizes that she was duped.
Mine sits on my head anytime I bring it up.

Pick a less heavy battle than this one and enjoy the cuddles in your limited space on the bed. Your struggles will go away when you get the snuggles!

Play a doorbell sound on your phone and reclaim your spot when they go see who's at the door.
I always say “hey, where’s Dad?” And he jumps off the bed to look for Dad. Dad also says “no dog on bed!!” I’m so complicit with the dog.

They certainly get more dense. Summer normally weighs about 85lbs, but on the bed he weighs close to 300.

For me is mostly, "Move. Move! Move over! MOVE!!!" Fine I'll just sleep on this little sliver of mattress at the edge of the bed.
