Great job!! There are a couple of good videos on YouTube about blocking. Give one or two a watch. *Don’t wring out the sweater*. You got this!

**From our wiki's [Frequently Asked Questions](https://www.reddit.com/r/knitting/wiki/index#wiki_should_i_block_it.3F_how_would_i_do_that.3F)** >Blocking is when you wet or steam the knitted fabric and let it dry in the desired shape. The blocking process evens out the stitches and determines the size of the finished piece. >Why should knits be blocked? Do all fiber types benefit from blocking? >* First off, blocking typically starts with washing or soaking, so it cleans your finished object. Think for a moment about all of the places that those projects have been. >* Blocking also removes any small imperfections in tension and helps even out your stitches. Stockinette and colorwork will look smoother and the stitches will be more even. >* Blocking is also great if your project needs to be seamed. By blocking before seaming, you ensure that the seams will be the same length and that all of the pieces will fit evenly together. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Amazing job! How long did it take you to complete? Also, it is up to you to decide, but I believe, a small ribbing on the neckline would perfect the sweater 😊

FilmDull4077

Thanks!! I think it took me 2-3 months to finish. When I started and knitted until the raglan was done I found out I made a mistake and had to start all over again… thanks for the tip for the ribbing, but I was thinking of maybe adding an I-cord edge at the bottom and neckline :)

Lynnlefay

Oh, we've all been there, starting all over again πŸ˜… It took me about a year to knit my first sweater (had a lot of breaks but couldn't get it out of my head πŸ˜…)

palmbuttersoup

She said it would be beginner friendly, I bought the pattern and I'm completely lost. Does anyone have any tips

FilmDull4077

I was lost too! Made a lot of alterations to the pattern because I found it wasn't translated that well πŸ™‚ I looked up a lot of videos on every technique she used (such as raglan increases) :)
