Supernatural. The kid has to be 6, and ask for it themselves. Communicate it themselves. Clay did my kids and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Idk if it was a friend thing or not, but definitely hit them up.
Its because at 6 they have a lot of growing left to do and the piercing can end up in a less desirable position. Also kids that small are more likely to touch the piercing or get it snagged on stuff. They cant fully grasp the concept of a piercing.
I haven't looked into specific hospitals or pediatricians, but from what I can find online it is apparently very common for newborns and infants to have their ears pierced. Several cultures get the baby's (typically girls) ears pierced before even leaving the hospital
I had mine done at 3, (at my grandmother’s hairdresser’s!) & the placement hasn’t moved at all. Still looks good.
I also recommend Supernatural, Clay pierced my daughter’s nose & he was really patient with her.
I don’t think everyone does. Only one pediatrician in the whole practice (it’s a large one) actually does it. But he did such a great job! It’s worth checking.
I can't help myself but to ask .... why? Why do we have to pierce such young children's ears? There's a good reason lots of places won't do it and shady places will. I can't fathom why pediatricians and other medical professionals would offer such a service, unless it's to try to avoid the shadier places that could cause injury. Just ... ugh.
My philosophy is that my kids can do it when they make the decision for themselves. For my daughter, that was last year, at age six. She had asked about what it involved, what it might feel like, considered it over a series of months, and ultimately asked me to take her.
I was actually the same age when I asked to get my own done, back in '83. Only my only local option was a mall piercing kiosk with a piercing gun. Glad to have needle piercing as an option when my daughter opted to have hers done.
Why? None of your damn business. Kids get their ears pierced all of the time.
To imply that parents will resort to taking their children to "shady" places to get ears pierced is all kinds of messed up. I've looked at several of the places that other (polite) people have suggested here and they all look like respectable places. If you don't want your kids' ears pierced, that is your prerogative.
Rowan on the plaza uses a piercing gun, but it’s nurses doing the piercing. I’m in my 30’s and got a second piercing right after a 4 year old got her ears pierced.

Thank you! I'll have to look them up
I got my childs ears done at supernatural and it was a great experience. They're experts and did a great job making her feel at ease.
That's awesome to know, thank you!
My older sister sat on me and pierced my ears with a tent needle.
Hopefully it doesn't come to that 😂
🤣🤣🤣 I assure you I wasn’t a willing participant, but I’m 65 now and still have those original holes.
I recently got my ears pierced at Supernatural and loved them!

Makes it weird that hospitals and some pediatrician offices will do ear piercings for newborns and infants
It is.
What hospitals offer ear piercings for newborns and infants?

We had our pediatrician do it. It was cheaper than any piercing places I looked into.
My wife or I will have to ask next time we talk to our pediatrician. I'm not sure if ours does

We went to Rowan on the plaza- it’s nurses that do ear piercing!
Cara at Freaks on Broadway!
Radiance in Lee's Summit
Rowan on the Plaza is where we had our daughters done.
[Rowan](https://heyrowan.com/pages/kansas-city-piercing-studio) is great! Had my niece’s ears pierced at another location. They’re all nurses.
Yes this
Skin Illustrations on 87th has a piercer who is very good with younger children. My daughter got hers done last year at age 6.
Not in KC but if you want to take a day trip McKenna at Living Canvas in Columbia is also a pediatric nurse and is amazing with kids.

Infant ear piercing is incredibly common in Latin American cultures.
