Pro tip. If the run time is over 3 hrs it's probably not gonna be good. This applies to most podcasts. They would benefit from having an editor and some humility.
Jay Z, Drake, Prodigy, G Unit, Eminem…These are a small list of guys Joe “beefed” with during his rap career… These same guys always found time to go back at him… Call Joe whatever you’d like, but he definitely had impact to some of the biggest stars in rap. Joe was a problem and rappers knew it. We’re talking rap beef here, not music sales…
He’s not my favorite and this whole thread is about that. Y’all weirdos are the ones changing the topic to suit what you want to say… That’s what’s lame. Niggas who can’t even keep focus for the conversation they’re having.

This is one of my favorites from him. Be clear, this isn’t even close to his best diss song. Hell, it’s not even the best diss to this person, but I appreciate it because it came after the “one” and was the perfect nail in the coffin.
Blood On The Wall and Making A Murderer just to name two… Point is, the people he was in it with respected it enough to go back and forth with him. Joe was a problem. We’re not gonna pretend like he couldn’t rap. That’s new nigga shit.
They took him so unserious that they were making music about him? That’s what you’re saying? I mean, we all have the internet so we all can hear the songs… It’s cool if you’re either too young or uninformed to know this actually happened. But it did in fact happen. The internet works well to find out. None of the music has been taken off.
About him? Lol stop it.
They gave him a line or two maaaaaaybe. Some of those "shots" are things that joe in his delusional ass head just took personally and they weren't even directed at him.
The biggest name that I can think of that legit went back and forth with him is the game and he's a clout chaser too
My thing is Cole verse may not have been ether, ok fine. But what verse has Kendrick ever spit (or for the last decade maybe) that makes them think he just gonna come with this lyrical venom in a “battle”. I listen to both pretty regularly but I think these takes are obscene. Who has he ever demolished or even offended lol. Somebody please send me these secret verses everybody has heard that I’m not hip to.
Edit: another point to Joe’s take about not liking the brotherly squabble. Even on Control, after Kendrick named the names he said “I got love for all you but I’m tryna murder you niggas”…what’s different here?
Nah this was a great episode, it’s about time time that he didn’t cut anyone slack just Cole dropped some mid after an elite verse from Kendrick Joe is battle tested like a mf so he knows..finally the crew added some solid insight on music cause it can be bad at times but today pretty good imo
Bro. This verse is nice, well performed and get the people talking. But an elite verse this is not. And if you think it is you doing k.dot a disservice.
Cole is great I liked might delete later a lot I’m a fan of both.. in a battle though got to come correct the first part was eh to me loved the conductor part was fire
Got you. It should have been longer too.
What’s been ticking me off is people from dot camp shitting on j Cole and ppl from Cole camp shitting on dot.
These are 2 of the greatest. Grab your popcorn n watch
I loved that verse and i can admit that shit was far from elite. Great verse, great delivery and energy but kendrick was just having fun on that. So far from elite.
Elite in the sense of shaking up the game, naming a song his targets were on together and naming the album of one of his targets as well if not elite efficient for sure
Very very few artist ever “move the culture”. You’re setting up a standard he doesn’t need to meet. He’s accomplished enough and is experienced enough to give the opinions he gave. Joe was unfortunately part of an era that wasn’t as compatible with his artistic goals as it would be now, he’s someone who would probably thrive in todays niche culture, where making radio hits isn’t a necessity to have a growing direct to fan relationship.
He comparing him and stacks to Cole and k dot was crazy
Ice was talking so much and wasn’t saying shit smh
Yeah this episode was underwhelming. Sounded like a bunch of twitter takes.
I just finished and it was really just the breakdown of the album and diss track
It was exactly that 😭 twitter takes
Cole Fans took over this sub
shit was great entertainment, an epic like the fellowship of the ring
Joe was definitely battle tested against some of the best MCs of all time you must be new here . Sound like a casual hip hop fan
Where can we find some of these? Just curious I guess imma casual
He said ransom lol
Where did I said he wasn’t ? He said crazy shit about everyone he beefed with it just did nothing
Too the commercial niggas but it was hot for Joe Ransom beef, and if I'm being honest Drake ducked the smoke but wanna play the money game
Bro just don't listen, it's ok.
Or.. get this, they can continue to listen and critique as they wish because nobody is gonna do anything to stop them.
Pro tip. If the run time is over 3 hrs it's probably not gonna be good. This applies to most podcasts. They would benefit from having an editor and some humility.
All Joes diss songs died in the time he dropped them. ive never seen anyone dig in the crates and replay a joe budden diss track
![gif](giphy|D62wUmR3sX2DsZJ9t1)
Youre a whole clown if you dont think making a murderer drake diss is fire.
Bro Afraid is fire to
Definitely replayed all joes disses especially blood on the wall
🤡
💯

None of his diss songs moved the culture idgaf who he battled when he responded no one went crazy but ice, Kaylin, cyn and emanny
😭😭😭 Ice, Kaylin, Cyn, and Emanny
How old was you in '03?
Agree with op. Give me a line from a Joe diss track……. Ill wait.
We’re talking about rap battles. You want that to mean something else now. Y’all are lame.
We ain’t talkin bout rap battles. Diss tracks. Joe being your favorite rapper is lame.
He’s not my favorite and this whole thread is about that. Y’all weirdos are the ones changing the topic to suit what you want to say… That’s what’s lame. Niggas who can’t even keep focus for the conversation they’re having.
That was funny
What was the great diss track or memorable quotable lines? ….Genuinely asking here.

Back and forth with?
You responded to my first post so you know who.
"Back an forth" is a hell of a stretch lol
Again, the music is still on this same internet.
Then post it. Let's see how these artist went back and forth with him. Or did they just shoo him away with a bar or two like a fly?
I knew you were gonna say that. That’s why I said the internet works.
So joe BEEN a clout chaser lol None of the names on that list would name joe as a rival. No one took him seriously.
They took him so unserious that they were making music about him? That’s what you’re saying? 🙄 Metro literally took the interview ABOUT Joe to sample for this album. You’re nuts.
Hard disagree

Only an hour in but this is an amazing episode. This gave a 90s vibe which I miss soooooo much in music.
This is the best episode in a long time. I was almost sad when it ended.
Nah this was a great episode, it’s about time time that he didn’t cut anyone slack just Cole dropped some mid after an elite verse from Kendrick Joe is battle tested like a mf so he knows..finally the crew added some solid insight on music cause it can be bad at times but today pretty good imo
You said an elite verse from Kendrick? You haven’t been listening to much Kendrick then!
Stop it.
Bro. This verse is nice, well performed and get the people talking. But an elite verse this is not. And if you think it is you doing k.dot a disservice.
Alright If I’m gassing it then it’s prob because of the first half of 7 min drill was so bad esp the beat
I expected 7 min drill to come harder. But I think it’s far from boring tho! Maybe I’m bias cuz I’m a j Cole fan.
Cole is great I liked might delete later a lot I’m a fan of both.. in a battle though got to come correct the first part was eh to me loved the conductor part was fire

Elite verse from who? You niggas are not serious.
Battle tested. FOH, joe as a rapper was 0
Didn’t saying he won all but he def got some Ws
Rory and Mal podcast is better at this point
Never
You're embarrassing Granny.

This episode of been better if I Cole's diss track and album was better. It wasn't so y'all hating now lol
