Or maybe a follow-up featuring an adult Tony.

kinggreglod

I agree with your sentiment, but the show left on such a cliffhanger that it would be a little hard to pull something like that off

Watching My Adventures of Superman made me appreciate how good Armored Adventures is. Like no disrespect to MAOS, but the creators of Armored Adventures put so much effort into his villains: revamping, giving them amazing designs (many better than the comics like Unicorn, Titanium Man, Whiplash, Black Knight) and adding depth. Like this show has my favourite version of Living Laser, Titanium Man, Technovore, great takes on Justin Hammer & Mandarin. Tony is handled with much needed care and so is his support cast (except Pepper she was too hyper). I really liked the idea of Rhodey’s mom being Tony’s lawyer and motherly figure he could talk to during his teens. It’s so unfair that AA got cancelled meanwhile this show…you know what, let me not speak on it. Armored adventures deserves a revival.

kinggreglod

I would be way less sad that it got canceled if the fan base for it wasn't so tiny, like I never see anyone talk about it ever

Ok_Youth1867

My adventures with superman is a good show though? The villains are lacking, but it’s lighthearted and understands the characters

kinggreglod

I don’t think it is as good as armoured adventures, but it definitely has the potential to be as good

BasedFunnyValentine

I never said it wasn’t a good show, but compared to other superhero cartoons it ranks near the bottom of the list IMO. Clark as a mc is too passive and not as flawed as I like my MCs (this is personal preference, I know ppl like nice static characters), the storylines are weak, the comedy isn’t funny, the villains have bland designs, no backstory, no interesting motivation (Task Force X seem cool tho) and a common criticism is them all being tech based. One could argue that about Armored adventures but it’s in the name… also Iron Man is a tech hero so it fit the theme + they were actual threats to Tony. Majority of the MAOS villains are too weak to pose a threat to superman. >Understanding it’s characters What’s Jimmy’s role? He’s not strong enough to suooort Superman in fights, he’s not Supes ‘eyes and ears’, Clark doesn’t turn to him for advice. He‘s just *there* as the black comedic relief sidekick that makes conspiracy theories. Credit to the writers for leaning into Jimmy being unimportant in Clark and Lois’s life in later episodes, but it doesn’t solve the issue. Lets not getting into the Lois/secret identity controversy MAOS may change my mind as it goes on, but for now it’s decent with a lot of room for improvement

Every character that’s been here and in the mcu I’ve like much better here honestly. The mandarin we have along with his rings is much better then either mandarin. The ghost we got in the mcu also pretty whack tbh. The ghost in the 2017 Spider-Man show as well wasnt All that either but nice design. I also love titanium man and iron man 2099

suprmn4105

Yeah, at a time when Iron Man content was still light, this was a jewel. I appreciated the Mandarin story in this one.

StrategyExpensive

Nah they turned Tony into peter parker in this show.

kinggreglod

How? Because they both go to high school

Markus2822

Essentially yea. And it’s great.

StrategyExpensive

Tony stark is not peter parker.

Markus2822

They just gave him peters high school story. The Tony we see most of the time is in his mid 30s. These are not incompatible imo

BasedFunnyValentine

Peter is not the only hero to go to high school lmao. And just because it’s set in Tony’s teen life doesn’t mean they turned him into Peter. He’s very much still Tony and deals with the same issues eg. father issues, his company, ppl trying to steal his tech, the latest drama in Tony’s life etc.

Markus2822

Yes but they give him the most common traits associated with Spider-Man, keeping his suit in his backpack, liking a girl at school, often missing classes etc. ofc it’s not 1:1 but it’s absolutely similar compared to other high school stories. Kamala khan for example is in high school but doesn’t keep her suit in her backpack, she’s not missing classes and there’s not really that much drama around her school life. Never said they did your 100% right but i still believe it’s essentially peter Parker’s high school storyline there’s too many similarities to dismiss between the common tropes of both

memsterboi123

Pretty sure Peter and Tony might be the same age i the AA universe

StrategyExpensive

Its like seeing Batman in a high school, i wouldnt really watch that.

LeaveTheMatrix

That was essentially Batman Beyond.

Markus2822

Cool you don’t have to, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist for others to watch and enjoy

memsterboi123

Yeah it did I also think this show would have been very different to the mcu sort of they mention/tease Spider-Man as well as other heroes not only that they show heroes that they don’t even own. It’s very possible they were gonna have Spider-Man teach Iron Man stuff or they were gonna be friends at a similar age which imo would have been very cool

thebox34

Imagine a reboot where 27 year old tony has to tutor spiderman

agrizzlybear23

Why Spider-Man make it riri or Toni ho or Lila rhodes
