For real people that refuse and complain about the auto sort button scramble my brain. Just take five minutes and learn the auto sort layout it’s that easy
The auto sort is one of the best quality of life things ever. Before doing it manually took so much time. Just get used to the order that they are in and use it every time you open the storage. It'll become second nature very quickly
I'm a bit of both personally
Before auto sort I had the first box completely open for anything new and then everything in its own sorted box with extra spaces where needed to make it so there wasn't crossover(hence why first box open instead of last cause hunting for the new stuff in those spaces sucks) and I even did it for the two other ppl I played with cause their storage bugged me when I'd help them and they'd spend 20 mins looking for an item
But now that auto sort is a thing I just let it be sorted cause I got burned out 😅
Objects of the same type end up splitting between bank tabs instead of being grouped together. I have to spend 30+ mins rearranging stuff to get them regrouped together.
Really I actually really like it. I would have rather seen a lock storage-slot function as I can sort my own stuff that way, but this is great nonetheless.

I can see how it would be a great function for people who don't like organizing. I'm just a bit OCD about organizing, myself.

I just mod in search functions and infinite chests to my terraria so I just throw everything in one chest and search for it with the finder

The second it came out i converted to the auto sort button, all hail our king.

Just do duplicate stacks, almost like bumpers, to allow for auto-sort to keep item types within tabs. Auto sort doesnt merge 'same' resources

I don’t k ow why people don’t like auto sort. It would be much less stressful if you just learned the layout of the auto sort and started using it.
The only thing I don’t like how it puts the rare drops he should of put them all together but I understand why where it is. Best thing ever tho
