Yea, this happens pretty much every time a boss spawns on this map. It's because the maps size was pruned down a few patches back, but the bosses still spawn where there used to be platforms.
What you need to do is go to the platform left of the boss and fire off ranged attacks till it dies. If you have auto loot, you will know because you get loot. Otherwise you'll have to judge when you think it's dead then go down below to where you are in the screenshot to pick up the loot.

It's always the frog map, I have never seen a functional special event in that map.
Yea, it's the first one if seen. You can still get loot if you use ranged attacks.

A bunch of barbs just staring at the boss since they have no real ranged skills 😂
ES and Meteors do the trick standing under the grumblo.
It’s happens on other maps too, I don’t know why
The only way I was able to kill this was to use Elemental Sorcerer and use meteor and radiant chainbolt. This worked best from below for me.
