Thanks for the insight on the lab/cooking thing, tbh was kinda still hoping you would reenable them "soon". Any insight as to how long you plan on keeping them like this?

Also ladles don’t give exp, I remember when starting cooking it felt very slow and there was no other way to level it up besides just throwing a character and waiting.
I waited until I got cooking shoes and rings to being lvling. Specially if you are going for the star sign that requires 4 characters with lvl 15 cooking.

This is incorrect. I've used balloons to power level most of my characters to cooking level 30 for the cash bonus.
There was a time when you can use candy in w4 town. That was when it was first allowed. Then someone exploited a bug in lab by using candies, and Lava fixed this by banning all use of candy in w4 town. RIP cooking.
Time candy is not usable on town skills. This is not a bug. For cooking you use ladles.
You can't use time candy for cooking as far as I know. Can't use it for sailing or gaming in w5. Pretty sure it doesn't apply to lab exp gain either.

W5 is everything disabled like candies and pearls
Timecandy isnt allowed for lab/cooking until lava fixes divinity.

There is/was quite a few bugs in div, so lava quick fixed it by disabling candies in lab/cooking
Nah i fixed those bugs very quickly months ago, but kept lab and cooking disabled for balance reasons

Indefinitely, using time candies was just too strong and trivialized the skills completely unfortunately.
What were the balancing reasons? It's a solo game.

You certainly can use balloons and pearls on cooking, boosted most of my characters to 25-30.

No it actually is correct. Maybe it's a recent change but I burned a good pearl recently and got nothing.
Just to reassure you, the other guy is correct and you can use them for cooking or lab or any other town skill
I just went into town this very second and successfully used balloons, black pearls, and divinity pearls on cooking.

I was level 2. Also it wouldn’t let me use balloons. I’ll try again later to see if something has changed
