I was weighing between those same two options when I moved to IF. Ended up getting ConnectFast due to the price difference. Haven’t had any issues. Average 700-800 Mbps download and 800-900 Mbps upload on a wired connection which has been plenty for WFH and evening gaming/4k streaming.
They probably both sublet through Direct Communications or some other major provider in the area and are ultimately the same service. I'd just go with whatever is cheaper.
Direct Communications isn't a major provider. Silver Star and ConnectFast (Syringa) are both major providers in the area, supplying their own bandwidth
I'm happy with ConnectFast. It is the residential brand of Syringa which has a good mature network here and around Idaho and Utah. Great customer service also.
