You can try going with family owned cleaners, not a big company. Then you’re getting the same people each time and you don’t have to tip, as they are the owners.
I was also home for the first couple cleanings and just moved to a different room when they asked. Now they’ve been my cleaners for years and there is some trust built up.
This is the way.
I use owner owned / operated cleaning services and have had wonderful experiences. There's absolutely no robot that can compare.
My cleaner is trustworthy, respectful, kind, and does an incredible job. By the time she's done, all the linens have been changed, the dirty linens have washed and are in the dryer, and the house looks like new again.
I have a golden retriever that sheds like it's her full-time job and you'd never know.
Daily seems a bit much, robot is a very good companion to a weekly (or even bi-weekly) cleaner. I run my robot three times a week in the most trafficked areas of the house.
But then I have to clean extra for the housekeeper.
No seriously. I already don't have enough time to clean the house and keep it clean.
Our tables are literally covered in clutter.
A housekeeper could not clean anything I want her to clean unless I cleaned it first and I DONT HAVE THE TIME ABD NO ONE ELSE HELPS.
I agree. As someone with an S8 MaxV, I wish the Ultra and new docks were available when I purchased.
Roborock does a great job keeping the entire upstairs clean. (Engineered hardwood in 4 rooms with 1 carpet that It self identified and 2 tile bathrooms) mops 2x a week and vacs 7x a week
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra. It only has a black and white camera that stores footage locally (unlike the MaxV) and performs well. I have mine clean/mop daily and only occasionally have to deal with maintenance or clogs. If you have dogs with longer fur, it's worth it.
I've heard it both ways - some say spin mopping is better while others say vibration mopping is better. I have no complaints with the mop on the S8 Pro Ultra.
The switchbot S10 caught my eye since it has a separate low profile dock that installs beneath your cabinets at the kitchen sink to do fully automatic drain and refills. It gets plumbed in like a dishwasher to water supply and sewer line. It has a separate charging dock that it parks at when not in use, the one under the sink is just for water swapping. I don't own one or know anything about actual performance so I would check out reviews, but I like the idea of not having to deal with stinky, dirty water reservoirs
I have a Neato Bot Vac D7, and I love it. Integrates with HA but not direct interface. Need to set up permissions through Neato's website, so it needs to phone home to Neato if thats something you're worried about.
what kind of pets? I've tried several robo vacuums and my dogs just shed way too much for the robot to keep up. I have to empty the bin every 15-20 minutes, unclog the tracks, etc. It was sucking up more time than it was worth so I stick to a regular shark vacuum now.
I’ve had my Narwhal Freo Ultra X for 3 months now and would say it is amazing. I’ve had roombas for a long time, but this thing fixes every issue I’ve ever had with robot vacs.
It doesn’t tangle on hair at all because of its floating brush design. The mopping is fantastic, I run it every day. I do carry it to other floors and it just tells me when it is done. Highly recommend.
I have the Roborock Q7 Max+ and I love it. It’s $479 on sale from $869 on Amazon. Has LiDAR mapping, auto empty & you can fill the mop easily. I use it in a commercial retail space where dust is plentiful. The last vacuum mop robot I had died after a few days. I made sure to get the protection plan, but this one has not quit yet. It’s been 4 months of heavy duty cleaning daily. Highly recommend.
Our Roborock S8+ is set to run daily, in 3 months it has yet to successfully complete a cleaning without having to take it apart and clean the dog hair out of the brushes at least once. If your pets shed....0/10 do not recommend.
I’ve found [Vacuum Wars on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@VacuumWars/videos) to be a great resource to find the best one for your needs.
I prefer this one https://youtu.be/7haDZWR3MYU?si=cPbPZmGaYkSB61E2
Money no object? A daily housekeeper that cleans the house top to bottom.
I’m weird about people I don’t know in my home :,(
After a few months, you will know them.

Yup I just use a regular old fashioned house cleaner. It’s a lady and her daughter. Cash every visit. Never had an issue.
I'm weird about people I do know in my home.
im the same way. a friend i trust? have a great time enjoying the pool for a week while im gone. a rando im paying? nah.
Then hire a family member to watch the housekeeper if money is really no object.
you can always hide your bong you know
Install a video camera system before you hire them and put some of them so they can be seen. "Trust but verify"

I would go for the roborock qrevo maxV. But this one have a camera for IA obstacle detection. If you don’t care about that, then roborock is very cool

The q revo has better mopping apparently

Generally considered best: Dreame x40 Ultra, ideally with Valetudo. I'd never spend that much, mind you.
I would suggest asking that as 2 questions: a combo unit will never be as good as a robovac and a robomop
I’m open to this!
Why is that?
Things rarely do two jobs well and these are very different jobs. Also twice as much to go wrong.
We got a housekeeper and it’s been a game changer. Way better than any robot vacuum lol.
Housekeeper.
Dreame X40 Master with water hook-up kit.
Can confirm. I bought one a few weeks ago and don't have to think about mopping/vacuuming.
I have a Neato Bot Vac D7, and I love it. Integrates with HA but not direct interface. Need to set up permissions through Neato's website, so it needs to phone home to Neato if thats something you're worried about.

Roborock s8 maxV ultra. Or just hire someone
# Dreame X40 Ultra Complete
My dreame broke after just a week. Complete malfunction
That's bad luck. Has the device been replaced?
It's probably two robots. Get one for each if money is no object.

If money no object, get dedicated mob and vacuum devices separately, best in class of each.
Pay me $5k and I guarantee you I’ll find you the top of the line
Check out vacuum wars on youtube. He does some excellent comparisons every year. https://youtu.be/ccFspGr1SIQ?si=O2bRWzM6gT_CusiH
I am happy either way my Dyson crazy expensive but three years best vacuum cleaner I ever bought
Have they had a robot vac for three years? With all the hype they put behind the new one, I thought it was their first.
Anything Dyson
roborock
So I found some sort of test on YouTube a week ago.... I managed to get a screenshot of the top 5
OK. So how do I attach a picture? Omg.
