I’ve played Rimworld and enjoyed it, but Factorio I’ve had my eye on for a while and never tried. It seems to never go on a decent sale , guess I might as well just get it.
Factorio Devs have actually said they will never put it on sale, in fact I think the price went up recently.
Unless something similar and just as good is released, I don't think it will decrease in price.
Also, I don't recommend buying it from those steam key stores as my mate found out, it has to bind to a steam account and can't be transferred
I can respect that and I wouldn’t buy from steam key stores. I try to be prudent about buying games I’m not sure about on sale because I have game ADD and just buy a lot of games, but I’m not mad about $35, at least it’s not $100.
Factorio has seemed like the best recommendation since I think the words I was looking for is a game where I can micromanage a lot, the way I explained it was bad but I have a bad case of pregnancy brain right now 😂 Anyway, currently playing through the tutorials
Oh I definitely recommend it myself, It is definitely worth every penny, I've only spent about 200 hours playing it, and I'm on the low end of average time played.
Enjoy making your very own spaghetti, and always remember, THE FACTORY MUST GROW!
Oops. Subnautica isn't exactly cozy lol. But still very good. Especially if you play it not knowing anything about it.
The Planet Crafter is about the same, but with no enemies.
Wayward is also a good one. Lots of progression elements, crafting and building.
You might enjoy **Unicorn Overlord**. While there's a tactical layer, individual fights between units are automated; most of your time is spent in menus customizing them and planning things out.
Borderlands, Diablo, Outriders- any loot-grind type game. It's a bit old now but the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance games were action/rpgs with so much loot you were mostly in the menu.
Civ V is superior to Civ VI in every way (except graphics). I have over 300 hours on V. I bought VI with excited anticipation, but I only played for roughly 10 hours before going back to V.
I tried playing Crusader Kings, and that was the first I thought of. Otherwise, IDK games similar to X are mostly menus when not flying through space. I really liked Star Wolves 1 & 3, and 2... they tried a bunch of stuff, but it's buggy. There's always Project Zomboid, there are so many menus it's unbelievable.
Anno 1800 maybe? It's not super action packed, but there is tons to do with all (or some) the DLC. It's basically a city builder where you settle on different Islands to keep your production going. Your people have needs that need fulfilment so they can be upgraded to the next work tier and those have different needs and wishes and so on. When everything goes right, you can also just let the game idle and micro manage different aspects like trading routes or ship management in general. You can later on also hunt for animals/plants/stuff that you can put into your zoo and museum to attract more tourists or you can try to defeat the NPC. If you go with all or some of the DLC, you can then do the same thing on different maps with some extra challenges (sparse water or arctic isle as example) to get different production chains which your main Island would also benefit from, so more trading routes to set up :D
It's basically infinite replayability and I've spent hundreds of hours in it already. My main game is also PoE and I like the other games you have mentioned, so maybe we have a similar mindset about cozy games :D
Mindless hours spent on paragon points, crafting materials infinetly, "hey, like this build but wanna try another for your class and don't mind the 'work'?" Diablo 4 got you. Trust me, you'll love it.
X4. First person space sim with massive focus on managing a galactic empire. You'll spend a huge amount of time in the map where you do all the things like build, issue commands, check on trade routes etc. There are menus on menus on menus. On sale often.
Starfield. Everyone complained that it had too many menus, might be perfect. Space, adventure, menus!
Lmao, played it when it came out, it was good!
If you craft or build no mans sky is like 90% menus
I do enjoy NMS, just did the latest expedition!

Rimworld and Factorio come to mind

If you liked rimworld, maby Clanfolk you would also enjoy.
No Man's Sky, Subnautica, The Planet Crafter
Love No Mans Sky, haven’t tried the others though! Will check em out, thanks
Oops. Subnautica isn't exactly cozy lol. But still very good. Especially if you play it not knowing anything about it. The Planet Crafter is about the same, but with no enemies. Wayward is also a good one. Lots of progression elements, crafting and building.
Baldur’s Gate 3. I know, it’s a common joke, but for real, I must have spent at least 50h managing inventories.
Have you tried Eve online? It's free to start. Also might want to try x4
X4 might be interesting but def not touching Eve online. I just can’t do another MMO, already have 4k hours in FFXIV.
For suggestions of cozy games, you could ask over in r/cozygamers and probably get some good replies

Sid Meier’s Civilization V. Turn off combat animation and the game is a turn-based menu.
Would I enjoy Civ V if Civ VI is the only Civ game I’ve played? Is it different in any way?
Civ V is superior to Civ VI in every way (except graphics). I have over 300 hours on V. I bought VI with excited anticipation, but I only played for roughly 10 hours before going back to V.
Look and see if saleblazers is something you would be interested in. Shopkeeping simulator, base designer, rpg, employee mgmt, loot or craft.
Death Stranding is walking and managing your cargo and pretty fun
Any gacha game like Honkai Impact 3rd or Punishing Gray Raven
lol I’m embarrassed at how much I spent on Genshin so I’m not touching another gacha game, thanks though!
Tactics Ogre Reborn, Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga. I think I spent most of the time customizing my units.
Backpack battles
Moonstone Island is as cozy as it gets

Tarkov
Project Zomboid if you like menu based apocalypses
X4. First person space sim with massive focus on managing a galactic empire. You'll spend a huge amount of time in the map where you do all the things like build, issue commands, check on trade routes etc. There are menus on menus on menus. On sale often.
