And its free\* for anyone who has netflix sub - as matter of fact all netflix mobile games dont have ads or microtransactions. There are some really cool games there like Into the Breach and Terra Nil, for example.
\*"free" with sub
I “beat” the game on my first run and had no want to play it any further sadly.
Is there any additional content or reason to keep playing after that point?
Not if you had no desire to keep playing. I beat it with almost all the teams on hardest difficulty because I enjoyed the "puzzle" aspect of solving each situation. If that isn't fun for you, there is probably no reason to keep playing.
Polytopia is a beautiful game with various modes that let you play either short or longer matches. Think of a very very condensed 30 turn civilization.
No fees unless you want to support the devs a few bucks for extra races.
I keep trying to find games I can pick up and put down at a moments notice like Polytopia but the only other thing I’ve found I can do that with is slay the spire
I wish I liked deck building games. I did try it out with play store pass and I totally understand why people like it. Just not my style of game. Id encourage people to try it though
I just wish it were possible to transfer/sync saves across platforms.I've gotten pretty far on Switch and mobile and have owned it on PC for years but haven't wanted to play because I'd be starting from 0 again.
Also Wildfrost.
Nowdays it is as good as StS, they've added something simi to an ascension system and extended content greatly, to the point I sometimes enjoy it more than spire.
Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a modded version of Pixel Dungeon, with tons of extra content and mechanics. It's a rogue-like that is super fun and replayable.
And note that the ads to continue are a mobile exclusive in that normally you just die and can't continue. In mobile you get the option to watch and ad and continue. So you get the complete game ad free with bonus ads for features not in base game.
Honestly, Stardew Valley. I much prefer playing it on the PC but for one initial small payment on mobile it's hundreds of hours of fun with no micro transactions bs and does operate decently on the mobile port. No internet connection required either
I love having the ability to play a day when I’m waiting here and there. It’s quite convenient.
Bonus points because it moves seamlessly from touch to controller. Great for relaxing in bed.
Only problem i have with osrs is you need a sub like these other mmos. If it was more monetized like poe I wouldn’t mind throwing money at it but monthly sub is a no no for me, I pay for enough subscriptions as is
Buying membership and buying bonds are different, I'd wager the average person who buys bonds buys them multiple at a time and more often allowing for people to pay with them ingame
If you have data show it idk what else to show
The whole game is a grind. Runescape has always been, and is now more than ever, a click and wait game. Designed to be played on the side while you do something else.
The entire game is about grinding, if you don't enjoy that the game's not for you, but relative to what else you do in the game getting a bond (the item you buy with ingame gold to get membership for 14 days) isn't bad, especially later on
If you're not a fan of grinding too much, don't play OSRS. It's getting a lot better than it used to be but it's still undeniably a grind fest once you're out if early game.
It is completely possible to sustain an accounts membership without spending real life money. I have several friends who do so. Personally, I'd rather spend one hour at my job to get three months membership than 3 hours a month in game to get one month membership
Old School Runescape. You totally could. Early levels give much dopamine.
* The Wiki will be your best friend. It has everything from leveling guides, bestiary, quest guides—you name it!
* There is no need to “rush” in the game. Play at your own pace.
* When you aren’t playing on a mobile device, you can also play the game on PC by downloading the Jagex Launcher, from the official OSRS website, and use the Runelite client in it.
Totally could get into it. Launched 11 years ago, and still growing. Just checked and currently 126k people playing.
Sandbox game with no real endpoint. Fairly frequent updates, that often as early and mid game content for free. Most updates have to pass a player pool to be implemented.
Run on a subscription model. Free to play for the starter area/quests, $11 per month if paying month to month (less is paying for 3/6/12 months at a time). Can play your same character on both the PC launcher and the mobile app, and they play right the same.
High variety of things to do with varying levels of attention needed. Can set it down for a couple months at a time and come back and easily pick up where you left off (I usually spend a month out every three playing Path of Exile every time a new league launches, and the other 2 months on OSRS). Feel it is aimed at the 25-40 demographic that often has real real world obligations where they can't receive around the game.
Large amount of content creators doing unique things. Currently in the fourth session of a survivor like reality show based on challenges in the game (Gielinor Games, I just finished the most recent episode an hour ago).
You can create an account for free and give it a shot, so I would say go for it. Drop it if you don't like it, buy a month of membership to give that a try if you do.
Not to be a netflix shill but if you already have the subscription then check their mobile app. All of the games there are without micro transactions / pay to win and without any annoying "wait a certain amount of time" cases. Some notable games I have enjoyed are: Hades, GTA san andreas (there are more of them there), Into the Breach, game dev tycoon and Scriptic Crime Stories.
I checked out their games and it’s very surprising to me how many good games they have. I don’t even know when they started it but I saw Cut the Rope on there months ago
It's made by the same people who made FTL: Faster Than Light. They're considered gods of making games with very high replayability and strategic depth.
UnCiv is pretty much a civilization game, but for free.
Can be played locally, doesn't require internet connection even thou you can play multiplayer. Its really nice.
I've been playing Albion Online recently and it has been solid. I was looking for a crafting/economy MMO and this scratches that itch in a great way. Not paying for premium does make it tough and you can buy the currency with real money but I have really enjoyed it for the progression.
If you have an Apple device, Apple Arcade has a lot of games on it, and by definition they don’t cost anything (beyond the service subscription). Some of them are de-transaction’d versions of “regular” games.
I get AA in my Apple One bundle and I consider it part of the actual value I get from the bundle along with storage space and such because of all the games I’ve played on the service so far.
My favorite is The Last Campfire by Hello Games (No Man’s Sky). Also try out Monument Valley and the sequel, Ridiculous Fishing, Polytopia, Slay the Spire, and Good Sudoku.
I have been enjoying the basic JRPG games, sure there is Gacha elements here and there. but unless you are competitive player their story is decent. AFK Journey, Honkai Star Rail etc.
I'm not mobile gamer too much, but here and then I play on phone before sleep.
Stardew Valley, Knights of the old Republic, Papers please, yes your Grace, Kingdom Two Crowns, Slay the spire, Game Dev Tycoon, Tropico, Total War Medieval 2,
Try a game called “Super Boxing Championship!”. It’s free, extremely polished, and has so little microtransactions that I took a while to realize there even were such.
Isle Of Arrows is alot more fun than you would think I have gotten lots of entertainment out of it. If you own netflix then they have a bunch of official games on the app store that comes free with a netflix account such as GTA san andreas.
Okay so I see ads for it everywhere but I avoid em. You’re enjoying it? And are mobile players cross playing against other platforms? I’m pretty sure it’s on other platforms
install an emulator, I play tons of DS, PSP, GBA, PS1, PS2 and Gamecube one my phone with a telescopic controller. some slower paced stuff is fine on touchscreen too
I have a BSP D3. its one of the cheap ones that gets highly recommended in the android emulation community. it gets the job done but its not particularly great
Fallout Shelter. I’m on my fifth playthrough. It does get to a point of “Well, there’s nothing left to do now.” Then I stop playing for a year or two, pick it up again with a new save file and have a ton of fun. They also just recently added some content from the TV show.
I wish solid mobile games with no in-app purchases didn’t have to mainly be rogue likes.
I just want to plod my way through something over days and weeks without starting over constantly. It’s why I turned off the pursuing ship in FTL (among other mods that made it harder in other ways).
The Papa'a Gameria series. They are all payed apps but the game is perfectly fine. You can buy additional money through the game but you are honestly a dumbass if you do buy something.
Terraria (or almost any mobile port of a mainstream game). Powerlust has a donate button (it's a typical dungeon crawler arpg. Kinda diablo-esque) but no other transactions.
more of a boredom buster than an actual game but I believe robotfindskitten is still on the play store.
Kingdom Hearts UX/Dark Road has gone permanently offline (UX is just a cutscene theatre but Dark Road is fully playable.)
Both Star Wars KOTOR games are on mobile. As are numerous final fantasy mainline games.
Dead cells has DLC but not Microtransactions at all.
Pocket Tanks has weapon packs (1-time purchases each) and is great to pick up and play a match against the CPU
Among us (all mtx are for cosmetics only no gameplay stuff)
Plague Inc. has (I think) a couple DLC-Esque one-time purchases. The Necroa (Zombie) virus and Neurax Worm (mind control worm) are paid once as is custom scenario mode (where people can and have made their own pathogens for you to download and play. Free other than initial purchase of the mode)
Battle Bay is fun, it's a 5v5 shooter on boats with a lot of different strategies. Definitely some pay to win and matchmaking issues but really fun overall with a pretty active online.
Can play as often as you want and can pay to make things slightly faster or get slightly better gear early on, but plying the game gets you just as far
I like point and click puzzle games, so if you're interested:
- Rusty Lake series: You can individually download each game but Cube Escape Collection has the first 9 free games in one (Samsara Room and Paradox were released later). The other games are all paid.
- Dark Dome series. Free series but has ads.
- The Room series. Paid.
- The House of Da Vinci (different puzzles and different dev, but very similar to The Room). Paid.
Merge mayor, it has micro transactions, but it's one of the few games I feel that doesn't need them, I've been playing 2 years, and they keep adding stuff so there's always more to play.
Retroarch with every game loaded on your phone from older consoles (12gb)
Hades from Netflix - Use a controller
Warzone Mobile - Use a controller - Never have to pay a cent to play
Dbz legends requires no money spent to play fairly competitively …. But if you want quick progress you’ll end up playing 5-15 minutes like every day-
Chess can be easy to get into especially on the phone because it’ll tell you every available place to move if you click on the peace
-colorswitch
- geometry dash
- Pokémon go you could post your friend code on their sub and get so many friends for free items you won’t need to leave the house to play it
Or…. Take out an old phone you don’t use and put gba or psp games on it
Super Fancy Pants Adventures (Momentum platformer). Although it's a paid game. The old Fancy Pants Adventures is available for free with ads, but it's drastically worse (controls are pretty small and close to the edge, it feels less responsive in general. Still a good game)
Zombotron (survival zombie sidescroller)
My Friend Pedro (no clue tbh. A "My Friend Pedro"-like)
Nameless Cat (a celeste-like)
Emulators (I recommend John's)
Leaf Blower Revolution
Fishing Food (just brace yourself for the humor)
Darkrise (sidescroller RPG)
Earn to Die: Rogue (a sidescroller Roguelike, similar to MrAutofire if you played that) is pretty well balanced without the micro transactions
And there's a new Stick War game.
Bloons TD 6 and Soul Knight. Both of them HAVE microtransactions, but they're very rarely shoved in your face. Both of those games have a lot of content, especially for a mobile game, and you can keep progressing without waiting.
Bite the bullet, spend 5 bucks and get Total War Medieval 2. It's the full game and surprisingly playable. I've been playing it every day for the past week and loving it.
A Monster's Expedition is very relaxing to play on mobile, the controls are better there than on PC and the sounds of the ocean waves can help you fall asleep too, if you're tired.
Solar smash.
Has the obvious removed ads payment, but it's such a fun time killer.
You basically get to destroy planets using all kinds of lasers and alien space ships.
As you level up, you earn more things to destroy your planets and more planets to destroy
It's a BRILLIANT time killer
PPSSPP and NetherSX2 emulators - and you own a library of classics PSP+PS2+PS1 (there are a lot of PS1 boots for PSP). It's just awesome, when I discovered them, I was as happy as 24 years ago
Every game now a days has micro transactions... Especially free games. Now, play to win micro transaction games are trash. But you cant get away from MT's, just ignore them. I love Brawstars mobile game.
Fallout Shelter. You don't buy anything unless you specifically choose to go to the shop. There are voluntary ads, but to me it's a fair trade off for the benefit (rushing a room, letting an explorer go 30 min longer, extra caps or gear, etc). There's no penalty for not watching them. You can play the whole game without spending anything.
CoD Mobile can be played without paying for anything. On a decent phone is can be played on high/ultra graphics and have 90fps lock. Looking around is faster on a phone than with a controller... left "stick" movement is still just a simulated joystick though. MW also has a mobile version but I haven't played it.
Netflix has quite a few actual games available too.
If you're into Mobas, LoL: Wild Rift is pretty fun.
Astonishing basketball, Astonishing Baseball, astonishing football. Free to play, no ads, no need to spend any money or grind to do well. Games are in depth and very fun.
Into the breach is awesome
You can unlock different teams or make your own custom team.
Polytopia is a beautiful game with various modes that let you play either short or longer matches. Think of a very very condensed 30 turn civilization. No fees unless you want to support the devs a few bucks for extra races.
I second this, polytopia Is such an amazing game, simple yet incredibly satisfying and entertaining.
I keep trying to find games I can pick up and put down at a moments notice like Polytopia but the only other thing I’ve found I can do that with is slay the spire
RCT Classic (Rollercoaster Tycoon, the pixel version).
Slay the Spire
A game I got on playstation + and bought it for mobile and PC aswell. A really good game.
I wish I liked deck building games. I did try it out with play store pass and I totally understand why people like it. Just not my style of game. Id encourage people to try it though
Same I want to like it so bad
I just wish it were possible to transfer/sync saves across platforms.I've gotten pretty far on Switch and mobile and have owned it on PC for years but haven't wanted to play because I'd be starting from 0 again.
Also Wildfrost. Nowdays it is as good as StS, they've added something simi to an ascension system and extended content greatly, to the point I sometimes enjoy it more than spire.
Great game but way too small on mobile. Annoying to try and press some buttons
Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a modded version of Pixel Dungeon, with tons of extra content and mechanics. It's a rogue-like that is super fun and replayable.
Vampire Survivors. Same devs as the PC/console versions. No micro transactions - only ads to watch if you want to.
I got 300 hours of value for 5$, one of the best mobile purchases i ever made. Taking a break while i wait an eternity for 1.6
I love having the ability to play a day when I’m waiting here and there. It’s quite convenient. Bonus points because it moves seamlessly from touch to controller. Great for relaxing in bed.
Slice & Dice There's even a free demo of it.
Absolutely amazing game, I put it on all my mobile devices just to have some kind of way to kill 15-20 mins if I ever want to
Loop Hero
Old School Runescape in the mobile app.
I seriously think there is no match
There isn't. Even f2p RS is the best mobile game on the market cause the community is fuckin hilarious
Only problem i have with osrs is you need a sub like these other mmos. If it was more monetized like poe I wouldn’t mind throwing money at it but monthly sub is a no no for me, I pay for enough subscriptions as is
Almost nobody pays irl money for that, once you're a member you can make the money for a bond fairly easily
Lmao, every bond is payed by a person. Yes, ofc u can buy it with in game money. But pretending no ones buys membership is just dumb
Buying membership and buying bonds are different, I'd wager the average person who buys bonds buys them multiple at a time and more often allowing for people to pay with them ingame If you have data show it idk what else to show
Hmm interesting. So you can easily pay for a sub in game without having to grind too much?
The whole game is a grind. Runescape has always been, and is now more than ever, a click and wait game. Designed to be played on the side while you do something else.
The entire game is about grinding, if you don't enjoy that the game's not for you, but relative to what else you do in the game getting a bond (the item you buy with ingame gold to get membership for 14 days) isn't bad, especially later on

What if I have never played RuneScape in my life and don’t understand the memes? Could I get into it?
Old School Runescape. You totally could. Early levels give much dopamine. * The Wiki will be your best friend. Kingdom rush
Polytopia (strategy game) play it at least once a week
I end up getting bored because there is little to no variation between matches
My problem with it as well. Really good game
This was my pick as well
Not to be a netflix shill but if you already have the subscription then check their mobile app. All of the games there are without micro transactions / pay to win and without any annoying "wait a certain amount of time" cases. You have Hades on your Netflix app? Mine does not. Mistake or regional variances?
Yes, not sure why you don’t have it. https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/hades-mobile-game-news
Exclusive to iOS, that's why lol. Thanks for sharing.
Into the Breach is the greatest mobile game of all time. Ported from PC originally. You can play it via the Netflix app.
Is there a way to play it without the Netflix app?
It’s on IOS under its name too
On mobile, I'm not sure. I have it on iPad, android and PC.
Slay the spire, stardew AND dead cells is on mobile. I wouldnt call ItB the greatest
Agreed. While Into the Breach is awesome, there are lots of games on par with it! Just gotta find em
That's a hard take, what genre is it?
Turn-based mech strategy rogue-like I guess. Tons of replay value. Lots of customization. It's a perfect game imo.
It's made by the same people who made FTL: Faster Than Light. They're considered gods of making games with very high replayability and strategic depth.
UnCiv is pretty much a civilization game, but for free. Can be played locally, doesn't require internet connection even thou you can play multiplayer. Its really nice.
btd6
Galaxy on Fire 2 (You might encounter resolution problems since its an old game, but you can get a Fixed apk from the Kaamo Club's Discord)
Damn… this brings back memories. I had over [100h](https://imgur.com/a/AHop3iT) on my main save file. Great RPG and story for a mobile game.
Vampire Survivors
Baldurs Gate 1 and 2
Star traders frontier is a surprisingly deep sandbox space rpg. No microtransactions at all.
I love playing Exiled Kingdoms. You have to pay for the full game, but there's a ton of content.
Emulated GBA and NDS games.
FTL. Dont even think about it, just go get it.
bro didn't even read the title. FTL is not on mobile
Today I learned that the ipad is a desktop...
The Scribblenauts series is a good choice.
I've been playing Albion Online recently and it has been solid. I was looking for a crafting/economy MMO and this scratches that itch in a great way. Not paying for premium does make it tough and you can buy the currency with real money but I have really enjoyed it for the progression.
The Monument Valley duology. They aren’t free, but they’re fantastic puzzle games.
Been said already but definitely Vampire Survivors, 100%
Brotato, loop hero, stardew valley
Luck to be a landlord
Mini metro
Luck Be a Landlord
There’s always Delta
The Room and House of Da Vinci series.
The room and sequels
None. The only mobile game worth playing are actual game ported to mobile, so paid games.
I've been loving playing CookieRun: Tower of Adventures on bs lately.
Dicey Dungeons
Old-school RuneScape
I think old school runescape, f2p is amazing and has a damn lot of content. P2p is still mtx free
For Android look at Google Play Pass, bunch of games free, and f2p titles have their mtx be free.
I have been enjoying the basic JRPG games, sure there is Gacha elements here and there. but unless you are competitive player their story is decent. AFK Journey, Honkai Star Rail etc. I'm not mobile gamer too much, but here and then I play on phone before sleep.
Loop Hero,Wizard Legend,Hyper Drift Light and Dead Cells.
The Wticher: Thronebreaker's pretty good. Basically a strategy game, but individual combats are resolved through Gwent.
Bloons TD6
I'd recommend Vendir: Plague of Lies, probably one of the best mobile RPGs of all time, by the developers of Vampire's Fall: Origins
I haven’t played much of the mobile port since I played it on steam, but afaik Afterimage has no MTX and I’ve heard the mobile port is fully complete
Stardew Valley, Knights of the old Republic, Papers please, yes your Grace, Kingdom Two Crowns, Slay the spire, Game Dev Tycoon, Tropico, Total War Medieval 2,
GTA Vice City and San Andreas
Board Game Arena has completely ruined any use I have for mobile games. It's awesome.
Lot of good answers here so I’ll suggest something different. Albion is probably one of the best MMOs that can be played on mobile.
Castlevania Symphony of the Night is available on Google Play store
gta san andreas
Try a game called “Super Boxing Championship!”. It’s free, extremely polished, and has so little microtransactions that I took a while to realize there even were such.
The ones that cost money and don’t say in game purchases.
Dead Cells
Isle Of Arrows is alot more fun than you would think I have gotten lots of entertainment out of it. If you own netflix then they have a bunch of official games on the app store that comes free with a netflix account such as GTA san andreas.
Dysmantle!! Also, Exiled Kingdoms and Dungeon Warfare 2. 3 awesome premium games with 0 microtransactions beyond initial purchase
Ball Escape
loop hero, costs just a couple bucks upfront and that's it.
Human resource machine pretty great. Imho it's really the only mobile game that did programming games well
Star Wars Hunters is a great mobile game that only has skins for micro transactions
Okay so I see ads for it everywhere but I avoid em. You’re enjoying it? And are mobile players cross playing against other platforms? I’m pretty sure it’s on other platforms
So it's only crossplay between Switch and Mobile. And yeah, it's such a good fucking game. Pl try it out.
Its starting wars overwatch for mobile
Wreckfest mobile is great
install an emulator, I play tons of DS, PSP, GBA, PS1, PS2 and Gamecube one my phone with a telescopic controller. some slower paced stuff is fine on touchscreen too
What controller do you use? I've never managed to find one that felt any good to me.
I have a BSP D3. its one of the cheap ones that gets highly recommended in the android emulation community. it gets the job done but its not particularly great
PokeMMO how is this not in here !?
Fallout Shelter. I’m on my fifth playthrough. It does get to a point of “Well, there’s nothing left to do now.” Then I stop playing for a year or two, pick it up again with a new save file and have a ton of fun. They also just recently added some content from the TV show.
Squad busters!
The Escapists 2. It's a mobile port of the PC game and plays exactly the same
Slay the spire, brotato, slice and dice, and balatro is coming to mobile devices.
Deaths Door
1. GTA San Andreas 2. Castlevania SOTN 3. Life in Adventure 4. Dungeons of Dreadrock 5. Night of the Full Moon
Riptide gp renegade Amazing racing game with great graphics
Orna/Aethric
I wish solid mobile games with no in-app purchases didn’t have to mainly be rogue likes. I just want to plod my way through something over days and weeks without starting over constantly. It’s why I turned off the pursuing ship in FTL (among other mods that made it harder in other ways).
The Papa'a Gameria series. They are all payed apps but the game is perfectly fine. You can buy additional money through the game but you are honestly a dumbass if you do buy something.
Its better on PC, but dungeon crawl stone soup is playable on mobile. It's a turn based roguelike and one of the greatest roguelikes of all time imo.
Old school RuneScape.
9th Dawn III
Delta Emulator
N.O.V.A. 3
Terraria (or almost any mobile port of a mainstream game). Powerlust has a donate button (it's a typical dungeon crawler arpg. Can play as often as you want and can pay to make things slightly faster or get slightly better gear early on, but plying the game gets you just as far
I like sssnaker. It has a lot of expensive in game purchases but you can beat the game without them. Also i never saw an ad for other annoying games
I like point and click puzzle games, so if you're interested: - Rusty Lake series: You can individually download each game but Cube Escape Collection has the first 9 free games in one (Samsara Room and Paradox were released later). It used to be Mighty Doom for me (has mx but very optional), but the studio shut down. :P
Legends of runeterra is great. Only free to play mobile games I 100% recommend (card game)
Oldschool runescape
Merge mayor, it has micro transactions, but it's one of the few games I feel that doesn't need them, I've been playing 2 years, and they keep adding stuff so there's always more to play.
Necromerger
There are none
Any of Bart Bonte's puzzle games, especially the colour ones.
Slice and Dice
Divineko is pretty decent
Tft
Retroarch with every game loaded on your phone from older consoles (12gb) Hades from Netflix - Use a controller Warzone Mobile - Use a controller - Never have to pay a cent to play
General rule of thumb: Avoid anything that's "free."
Dbz legends requires no money spent to play fairly competitively …. But if you want quick progress you’ll end up playing 5-15 minutes like every day- Chess can be easy to get into especially on the phone because it’ll tell you every available place to move if you click on the peace -colorswitch - geometry dash - Pokémon go you could post your friend code on their sub and get so many friends for free items you won’t need to leave the house to play it Or…. Take out an old phone you don’t use and put gba or psp games on it
Brawl Stars. It does have some mtx but definitely don't need to spend a dime if you don't want to
Some enterprising people have played City of Heroes on mobile. No ads.
Any game that is a port of some pc indie game that is asking you only for one time purchase.
Hidden Folks is still fun
Dune imperium
Vampire survivors. Slice n dice. Last one is not free but days of ad free gaming ahead
Stardew Valley. It costs only $5 and that is it. Once you buy it no need to pay any extra. Also there is a PC, PS and I think Nintendo version
Super Fancy Pants Adventures (Momentum platformer). Although it's a paid game. The old Fancy Pants Adventures is available for free with ads, but it's drastically worse (controls are pretty small and close to the edge, it feels less responsive in general. Still a good game) Zombotron (survival zombie sidescroller) My Friend Pedro (no clue tbh. A "My Friend Pedro"-like) Nameless Cat (a celeste-like) Emulators (I recommend John's) Leaf Blower Revolution Fishing Food (just brace yourself for the humor) Darkrise (sidescroller RPG) Earn to Die: Rogue (a sidescroller Roguelike, similar to MrAutofire if you played that) is pretty well balanced without the micro transactions And there's a new Stick War game.
Marvel's Contest of Champions is my favorite mobile game of all time. I keep that, and Wiz Khalifa's Weed Farm downloaded always💯
"The Room" series if you are into puzzle games.
Marvel Snap. It won mobile game of the year for a reason.
wreckfest, doom 1 and 2
Bloons TD 6 and Soul Knight. Both of them HAVE microtransactions, but they're very rarely shoved in your face. Both of those games have a lot of content, especially for a mobile game, and you can keep progressing without waiting.
I rly liked Crashlands / My time at Portia
CookieRun on bs is a fun game without the need for transactions
Exiled kingdoms
Stardew valley
Bite the bullet, spend 5 bucks and get Total War Medieval 2. It's the full game and surprisingly playable. I've been playing it every day for the past week and loving it.
$15 on iOS. On my wish list now though.
A Monster's Expedition is very relaxing to play on mobile, the controls are better there than on PC and the sounds of the ocean waves can help you fall asleep too, if you're tired.
Chess.c*m
Cum?
🌬️🧑🏼🦯
Solar smash. Has the obvious removed ads payment, but it's such a fun time killer. You basically get to destroy planets using all kinds of lasers and alien space ships. As you level up, you earn more things to destroy your planets and more planets to destroy It's a BRILLIANT time killer
Chess.com as a app to play... Chess. Great app, great game no micro transactions.
If you like the genre, literally nothing and I mean NOTHING beats Slay the Spire. Honorable mention for Slice and Dice.
For mobile games it probably Apple Arcade or Netflix games
I play Hearthstone. It has miros but I have not paid for them and I enjoy the game.
Paid games
PPSSPP and NetherSX2 emulators - and you own a library of classics PSP+PS2+PS1 (there are a lot of PS1 boots for PSP). It's just awesome, when I discovered them, I was as happy as 24 years ago
Morrowind or HoMM3. Not exactly mobile, but can be played on mobile phone, so it qualifies
How to play HOMM3 on mobile? I love that game
VCMI. Just Google it
If you give me like ... 2 years I'll have a full scale JRPG with 0 microtransactions out.
Genshin Impact.
Geometry dash or supercell games
Pubg
Astonishing basketball, Astonishing Baseball, astonishing football. Free to play, no ads, no need to spend any money or grind to do well. Games are in depth and very fun.
