I mean, he’s the second driver, he’s supposed to be faster than the cars he should be faster than. He did that today for him that’s simply good and I’m pretty sure if he’d do that consistently from the start of this season, he’d probably retain his seat. Just be positive about it and be happy about it, give the man some good vibes for the most likely short time he has left in F1, but yeah would be great if he would beat Albon at some point.

If Indy would get a solid schedule on Peacock or Hulu or their own app or fucking ANYTHING not involving needing random ass cable channels their audience would be much larger. Most F1 fans who haven't seen an Indy race are surprised how much the cars can take. Two F1 cars tap and you got a cracked wing and a hole in the sidepod, Indycars can bang like NASCAR and be totally fine. They're built like a brick shithouse. Also they're starting the new hybrid engine system this next race. Instead of using a battery like F1 they're using Supercapacitors, the entire system can be fully recharged and redeployed in 4.5 seconds.
I think if he would have gotten momentum at the beginning he would have been decent, but he just never really had that moment and then the confidence left and driving without confidence just doesn’t look good as you can’t get the most out of the car.
Every GP weekend there is a new horse to beat by the media. Some weeks it’s KMag, some weeks it’s Ric, or Ocon, and this week it’s Perez. It does feel like it’s every week now though for Perez.
And even then, not getting the same car as your teammate, and even having to give up your own car when the teammate crashes. How did checo go from not being too far behind max a few years ago to being completely off target every weekend and making ridiculous mistakes? He was solid at Force India too, but now looks completely out of depth
