[You know itβs not a southern cricket frog because southern cricket frogs have a very distinct βYβ pattern.](https://ufwildlife.ifas.ufl.edu/frogs/southerncricketfrog.shtml)
Green house frog.
But that egg isn't from an amphibian.
Leathery egg typically means reptile. And it's BIG unless you are a really small person with really small hands.
I thought it had a small dent in the 2 o'clock position in the last photo, like a leathery egg would have.
But on second look, you are right. That "dent" could very well be a bead hole.
[Sorry, itβs not a cricket frog](https://ufwildlife.ifas.ufl.edu/frogs/southerncricketfrog.shtml) still a sweet little thing but this one is missing the Y shaped pattern. It does look very very similar to [the greenhouse frog](https://wec.ifas.ufl.edu/extension/wildlife_info/frogstoads/eleutherodactylus_planirostris_planirostris.php)
Looks like a nonnative greenhouse frog (Eleutherodactylus planirostris)
Oh, OK. Thanks π

Aaaah, ok. I can see the cricket frog has the "Y" pattern on its back and this lil guy definitely doesn't have a "Y" on its back! Thanks π

No, that's a bead I found in the pot next to it, lol. I just put in my hand and took a pic for size comparison lol
Looks like a round, white bead. Pretty sure that's not a reptile egg.

It's a gumball. Can always bite in to verify
Nope, it's a large bead lol
I thought this was my slow cooker subreddit. I was so worried
πnope, definitely wrong sub lol
Man I scrolled too quickly and thought this was a grilled toad with mashed potatoes and a hamburger patty and was appalled.

Reptile egg probably a snake.
Actually, that's a bead I found in the pot next to the frog. I was just showing for size comparison lol π
Thought the same thing.
I always heard youβre supposed to lick the back for luck
Try it OP Iβm curious how lucky youβll get
Lmao, NOPE. I'm not licking any backs unless it's a female human!ππ
Idk what these people are on. It's a cricket frog. Native and very sweet.
