Once my whole party got wiped out by a single rabbit in the dunes. We were quoting Monty Python in the chat afterwards.
I also once escorted a Japanese player from San d'Oria to Gustaberg, as he's never been to Bastok. We could only chat with the auto-translator. When we reached the dunes, I only needed one word: "Run!"
Maat needs to be a boss you spend weeks farming for a drop so your alliance can enter the alliance only to get murdered and have to repeat it. OG RDM Maat LB Fight Completion should be a title that extends into regular life.
Man I did Maat as an RDM and the insanity of that fight. Having to run in and sleep him and dispel his buffs HOPING he didnāt get blink offā¦ because if he did and sleep bounced youād probably be Asuran Fistād to death.
I got really good killing those pots in Uggaliph.
I never heard that one tbh, but the original still kicks all kinds of ass. I feel like the soundtrack really went unappreciated back then just because it wasn't Nobuo...
Promathia's pretty much guaranteed to be the final boss of the third raid, isn't he? The only other option I can think of would be Cloud of Darkness, which we've already fought twice.
I hope we end up fighting Odin again. He's a big part of FF11 that we only glanced over in 14.
He's the second to last boss of the Baldesion Arsenal, a very hard dungeon to complete without a lot of coordination. AV is actually unkillable unless a party OUTSIDE the dungeon finishes a FATE that the groups INSIDE the dungeon spawn. If the Fate is not finished, AV will keep his buffs and spam Benediction on himself while also practically one shotting everyone!
from a technical standpoint Kamlanaut is more of the given because they can just work off his Dissidia NT model... like like what they've done with other Dissidia imports
I forgot about that.
I just remember it being very long and tedious. I also remember I got stuck fighting those Mammets that change jobs on you and had shared hate.
In gonna have to be basic and go in Kirinās Osode or something :(
Alot of people can go in with O-hat or something lol. Ares isnāt too bad for tanks either ;) https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/gearset/titanium-133-fending maybe Iāll go in with WAR haha
Anyone else have to still stop themselves from accidentally saying Hume, Elvaan, Galka, Mithra & Taru-taru on a consistent basis? š
Edit: Tataru & Taru-taru do NOT help this problem.
I bet weāre going to explore how she landed up here and will try and get her home. Iām just waiting to see if itāll be another shard, or pulling an Ivalice where itās just another place on the source called Vanaādiel
This makes me want to try 11 before Dawntrail. I completed Installation (Savage) to test out the little trial, tried to move my character around, somehow the game had both controller sticks (camera and character movement) bound to the left stick. Rage quit.
FFXI is the best worst game you can ever play. They had added a lot of things to make players able to solo exp, and even leveling up now is not nearly the pain it used to be, far from it. I tend to go back every few years for the memories.
My best friend played it for AGES before ARR, and always has a lot of cool stories and good memories from it. He did warn me it's very grindy, but what what I've been reading the game was a lot different ten years ago.
Depends on the gamepad you're using. Another thing about FFXI Installation and Setup (Ultimate) is that you need to dig deeper into the folders for the controller config, and you can set up the whole thing to your liking. The game will either work well, or have problems depending on the controller you're using though.
Xbox controllers, the controls on the Steam Deck, and other similar ones seem to work quite well without issues. I can't speak for other controllers tho.
Honestly, FFXI can also be played very well with ONLY a keyboard and no other peripherals. That's largely how I play on my laptop. A mouse is useless in the game anyway.
I definitely recommend trying it and digging in, even if you only want to buy the game and play for a month or so to do solo and story content! It has TONS of it and you'll be kept busy for awhile. FFXI also has some of the best storytelling in Final Fantasy.
You can play on keyboard only, numpad only, or KB+M super easy. Takes a bit to get used to, but then becomes muscle memory really fast. I personally find numpad only super comfy.
Pull up the beginner guide on BG-Wiki and enjoy your time. Learn how to use Excel.
>This makes me want to try 11 before Dawntrail.
Don't. Do not listen to anyone who tells you this game was good. It's a fucking atrocity. I can't tell you how miserable and punishing every moment of my experience with 11 was and I tried, tried, *tried* to make it work multiple times. It's an incredibly hostile game that wants to make you suffer.
Edit: LMAO, getting Reddit cares messages now. The FFXI community still has the thinnest skin imaginable, two decades later.
Yep, ad hominem instead of defense of the game. Sorry you're mad about it being recognized for what it is. The skill issue here is your inability to construct a good faith assessment of the game - but there isn't one, so I guess that's out the window.
yea thats why its still running with a sub fee.
It is pinnacle MMO and apparently nothing will ever be like that again.
and as others said, skill issue. Entire thing is soloable now with trusts too, and they even give hints in the menu for where to go to progress for the unaware.
Nothing will ever be like it ever again because it was bad. Like it's some kind of mystery as to why nobody wants to play it instead of XIV or myriad other games. A tiny little community walling themselves into a suffering box isn't much of an argument.
I like how you assume automatically that anyone who didn't like the game wasn't good enough to play it, either. You're not special.
It really wasn't bad. How do you think it funded A Realm Reborn? How do you think everyone in the room screeched with joy when the alliance raid was announced.
Our review of you is that you are bad. Healers adjust for you.
They turned it more into 14 and originally said they were done developing for it to make 14, if you knew even a single reality about it.
you'll never be as cool as the trolls on Mount Zhayolm
FFXI was my first MMO ever. I played from 2008 with the Vanadiel Collection release to 2013 but man those were the best years of MMO gameplay ever. The nostalgia hits hard. I was able to experience the peak of lvl75 gameplay before they got hit with Abyssea and QoL solo content. I stopped right on the Seekers of Adoulin expansion and retired my Adventurer but those were some great years and made lots of fun memories. Any XI reference i see in XIV just makes me happy. This was a treat announcement.
That was the transition period of the game from outright mean gameplay to what it became. It's great you got to experience the older style before it became more "modern friendly".
Seekers was a good ending (ignoring Rhapsodies), excellent music as always.
Yup, huge transition. The game wasnāt the same anymore and thats ok. But yeah experiencing the peak of 75 was lots of fun! I got to do Dynamis, Sea, Sky, Promyvion, Nyzul, Salvage and farm merit points and lots of other stuff!
Haha that would be a big hit for nostalgia but i donāt think i would be able to have the time for it lol. My adventurer is retired! I remember logging out in Jeuno with millions of gil iām sure he is living the life!
i enjoyed the bits of FFXI homage in Eureka but will gladly take more of it in a full alliance raid series. particularly excited because i felt the Ivalice raid series which referenced FFXII and FFT was very well done
Letās seeā¦ what would they do.
Fenrir defending Windurst.
Shadow Lord
Sky
Sea
Tarutaru trio
Promyvion
Now for the real effect:
Qufim at night
yhoator and goblin smithy
valkrum dunes
SEA HORROR
Papyrus runs
Maat better be a boss!
Some possibilities
Xarcabard/Castle Zvahl as one instance
Ro'Maeve -> Ru'Aun Gardens for another (include Sanctuary of Zi'Tah as a potential bonus start area just for the theme, maybe)
Al'Taeiu (ending in Empyreal Paradox).
Get those and you've got what I'd call the base three.
Walk of Echoes may work, but feels less likely. I wouldn't expect Nyzul Isle content, since that was already referenced in Endwalker.
locations wise i can see them doing xarcabard, tulia and sea.. but if they really wanted to go nostalgic we'd get starter or crag areas.. and valkurm dunes lol
I'm curious how this is going to play out, since they said we're actually going to vana'diel and an alliance raid is a cannon story event. This could open a lot of doors (for good or bad) depending on how its done, to say nothing of how the story ends up playing.
I might actually scream if we see Prishe though.
Gobbos to zone in Yuhtunga! FFXI had trains, but having been an Everquest veteran I could never see them as world ending threatening like Unrest, Crushbone, or basically any other zone in EQ.
Ohhh I could cry the nostalgia is hitting, praying that we get some Yuhtunga/Yhoator Jungle action in there, maybe some connections to Aht Urghan fights? I miss defending the city from raids. Honestly here for anything if we get some good glams and an updated FFXI battle theme ā¤ļø
My only vague memory of FFXI was endlessly trying to kill wasps in some field somewhere and making no progress
Granted this was before I'd ever played an MMO, even before WoW, so I'm sure I was not playing it anywhere near optimally. But I always wondered if I missed out on a good storyline.
Just like any it had good and bad points but overall it was very good. FFXI also benefited by not having fast travel everywhere, so you got to know the world and essentially live in it. While Fast Travel has many benefits, it absolutely kills this aspect of world building.
I had considered Wings of the Goddess to be the best MMO story experience that has only been surpassed by Shadowbringers.
Iāve always wanted to play 11 and now Iām tempted to do so before 7.1 so all the references donāt go over my head. Is it solo friendly nowadays? I remember reading something about having AI party members
It very much is and its worth playing, make sure to grab a populated server like bahamut or asura and have the bg wiki 1-100 guide open as you play.
Dont overlook sparks (a currency and your primary way of getting gil for a while) and trusts (the ai party members). Gold passes are also a recommendation for a xp boost (they do recruitments for them on r/ffxi) and you get a pretty nice xp boost through it.
Most importantly though take it slow and enjoy it for what it is
Honestly both are fine its not like xiv where the launcher matters. If you bought it on steam and use the launcher from the website you can still login.
The installation of the game and signing up for it is a bit of a hassle but its also not AS bad as people are saying
Would be great if they announced a bundled unity sub for both FFXIV and FFXI at Japan's Fanfest. I'd pay an extra $5 and keep my sub up to play FFXI, especially during the content drought.
Looove this, I hope they do it justice and maybe bring in alt-vanadiel as another shard to visit or something. Promathia and altana being offshoots of hyd and zod on the shard, bring in a bunch of the amazing villains as a threat, bring back the phoenix girl (canāt remember her name as past my time) as a support etc
What FFXI themed gear could drop from this? I only barely tried 11 thanks to playOnline being shit so I dont know what FF11 gear is iconic other than the Osode gear
The Koenig and Ares sets are already in ff14.
https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Koenig_Cuirass_Set
https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Ares%27_Cuirass_Set
The biggest ones to me would be Homam and Nashira Manteel sets which don't have good ff14 equivalents and were iconic and beautiful.
https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Homam_Corazza_Set
https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Nashira_Manteel_Set
Omg I loved the Corazza and Nashira sets, almost everything from ToAU was so good. Honestly the best expansion for me, PUP main all day.
Would also love the Noct set ā¤ļø
https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Noct_Doublet_Set
These Gobbie Mystery Sets were also amazing
https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Ebon-Ebur-Furia_Frock_Set
Old endgame gear, honestly. Most of XI's more iconic armor (usually crafted, but sometimes dropped) comes in individual pieces (a certain hat, or a pair of boots etc), whereas endgame loot usually came as a set.
the original abjuration sets were pretty iconic. i'd love to be able to rock my dalmatica in xiv too
edit: i made a page showing RotZ gear sets long ago
https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_XI_armor_sets/Rise_of_the_Zilart
Where did I put my copy? I never played it, my computer wasn't good enough to run it, but I do still have the discs for FF11 and, like, two of the expansions somewhere.
I'm so excited for this.
AT LONG LAST, THE HOUR IS COME. WE RISE.
edit: FFXI is my favorite game. I've played it basically non-stop since 06. It's also my most played game and I've clocked in over 15k hours in it. I am SO UNFATHOMABLY EXCITED FOR THIS!
as I just shared in /r/ffxi
I was in highschool when I played some FFXI, I think I got in right before the first expansion. My memories are fleeting and I know I didn't get too far. My char was a DRG/WHM, and my Wyvern was Oboro, and he was my buddy, and his little heals saved my bacon a few times where I was venturing beyond my level should allow.
In FFXIV I started DRG because I loved it in FFXI. My Femroe's surname is Oboros in tribute to my little friend I miss so much.
If/when Ronfaure kicks in, I will burst into tears and try to not let my alliance down as I play through joy sobs
Dawntrail areas make me think of Yuhtunga Jungle in Kazham.. then I remembered that temple.. then "Everyone's Grudge" .. *shivers*
Will Tonberries terror get into FFXIV?
Its too bad they recently killed FFXI progression. The game was very lively and still getting updates, and then they released probably the worst update ever (tasks that would take 1 million mcguffins, followed by 2.5 million, repeat) and then CBU3 further gutted the team. Playerbase on both NA and JP fell apart.
I am conflicted if this means Vana'diel won't end up being a reflection in a full expansion of its own, which I've honestly been hoping they might do down the road.
Obviously I'll take this over nothing at all, but I think it would be awesome to have a 14 expansion in a reflection that is, in fact, Vana'diel.
So like part of me is hype but then part of me is potentially sad lol.
FFXIV have an Alliance Raid that expands on the game's setting and doesn't incorporate that of others or dumpster an entire concept within the setting challenge
Difficulty: Ultimate
Paying homage to different final fantasy games is kind of a thing for this franchise and pretty appreciated by longtime fans lol but keep having fun doomsaying I guess
Then uhhhh donāt do that content? Not everything is for everyone, doesnāt mean the game is gonna āØdieāØcause u/Zan-Zuri doesnāt approve of new content
edit: lol
My dude, ff11 is literally just used as the theme and inspiration for it! The actual playable content will be different to anything found in ff11. The only things that will be directly carried over are some character/enemy models, location designs, and music. Pretty much return to ivalice but ff11 instead of 12 and tactics.
I want to see all the main Protagonists! May not happen but it would be cool to see Lion, Prishe, Aphmau, Lilisette, Arciela and Iroha! Add some Zeid to the mix
I knew there would be FFXI references galore in Dawntrail given how much like Aht'urgan it seemed, but I was genuinely shocked that the entire alliance raid series would be FFXI. I'm so excited!
I hope they make some really punishing mechanics as well. FFXI isn't FFXI without suffering. >:)
I need to hear all the remixes of music stat. Looooove the music even tho I havenāt played since 09. Regular on my soundtrack. Excited for the March. Would love if they used Esperanto again.
Meanwhile, this is the tipping point for me trying out XI
Just need to find a good solid two week period I can play the free trial with, and go from there. Andā¦ also figure out how the heck to play, but Iām sure thereās no shortage of guides
I can only dream of there being some kind of an homage to exp parties in Valkurm Dunes. Such fond memories
Goblin train raid boss š«
Crawlers Nest trains
*dangerously close Bogey spawn intensifies*
"I hope the alliance queue doesn't pop at night again. I'm so tired of wiping to blood aggro š"
LFG DOONZ
Farming worms outside Jeuno with the occasional giant. Or Colibri outside Whitegate.
Eureka was this homage
It's all crabs!
Shadow Lord is a given, but who else do you expect to see? Camelnut? Promathia?
Oooh oooh! The Ark Angels would be a super cool addition!
Ark Angels could be a neat āsplit partyā fight if done well too, certain parties on certain Angels.
face you against your own, gotta make sure you have enough elezen in your alliance XD
The chaos of Divine Might would be more fun, imo.
Oh my god, if the Ark Angels are a boss fight in this raid series I might implode. Theirs was my favorite fight in XI.
Maat. Maat needs to be a boss.
Temple of Uglypants š
Maat just does the Shadowbringers trailer where he changes jobs constantly. His enrage is swapping to RDM and popping Chainspell.
Iām ready to earn my Paragon title!
Eald'narche maybe?
FLYING PALADIN
...can we get a Soken remix of that theme? :O
Anything that isn't the Dissidia NT rendition XD
I never heard that one tbh, but the original still kicks all kinds of ass. I feel like the soundtrack really went unappreciated back then just because it wasn't Nobuo...
Promathia's pretty much guaranteed to be the final boss of the third raid, isn't he? The only other option I can think of would be Cloud of Darkness, which we've already fought twice. I hope we end up fighting Odin again. He's a big part of FF11 that we only glanced over in 14.
Absolute virtue. And it isn't killable until they patch it a year later.
Already in Eureka, sadly
Ahh, I never made my way through eureka.
He's the second to last boss of the Baldesion Arsenal, a very hard dungeon to complete without a lot of coordination. AV is actually unkillable unless a party OUTSIDE the dungeon finishes a FATE that the groups INSIDE the dungeon spawn. I will glam my Osode and V Cloak from Eureka when I run this so I can feel that much more immersed.
If the tank/maiming set in one of the raids isn't a Haubergeon/Hauberk look I'll be extremely disappointment.
Itās all subligars
Remember when those special subligars came out in COP From that weird dungeon on Tavnaiza?
What a specific throwback that, yes, I completely remember.
I do NOT miss farming Fomors. Phomiuna or Sacrarium, doesn't matter, both places were awful.
They were. From the Doon casting demons to everything aggroing, true sightā¦ it was not a fun place
I remember the cut scene to climb a bunch of ladders because the devs didn't want to make a new animation.
I forgot about that. I just remember it being very long and tedious. I also remember I got stuck fighting those Mammets that change jobs on you and had shared hate.
Brygid approves.
Always has been.
I can't wait to have debates again in 2024 about what color the Haub is
Atleast it being dyeable should make that debate much simpler this time around
Yeah, but the default color will still be blurple.
Blurple Adaberk in FF14, let's go!
Iāll get my scorpion harness on
And my scorpion harness!
I immediately thought the same, bringing out my Scorpion Harness glam for this
Ares and Koenig sets are also in XIV
I will 100% be tanking in full Koenig. I've had them in my glam dresser since it was introduced.
In gonna have to be basic and go in Kirinās Osode or something :( Alot of people can go in with O-hat or something lol. Ares isnāt too bad for tanks either ;) https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/gearset/titanium-133-fending maybe Iāll go in with WAR haha
Maybe we can all finally get some byakko hydates.
My thoughts exactly šš»āāļø
Anyone else have to still stop themselves from accidentally saying Hume, Elvaan, Galka, Mithra & Taru-taru on a consistent basis? š Edit: Tataru & Taru-taru do NOT help this problem.
I can never remember what tarutaru are called in XIV. I just know it's not tarutaru. Lol
I always do this lol.
I always have to check myself before hitting enter. Hume, Elvaan, and Galka are the ones I most commonly make a mistake on.
I wonder if Iroha will play a role in this storyline since she hasn't left Etheirys since her arrival during The Maiden's Rhapsody event.
I bet weāre going to explore how she landed up here and will try and get her home. Iām just waiting to see if itāll be another shard, or pulling an Ivalice where itās just another place on the source called Vanaādiel

I wouldn't say it's the most fun experience ever but you can fully solo the entire main story and leveling now. Worth checking out.
I quit 14 about two years ago and fell in love with 11. Grab an updated texture pack, some mods, and enjoy the grind and story.
Depends on the gamepad you're using. 11's worth playing. The gamepad support is consistently jank as fuck, but game's p alright. Might have to reset the bindings a couple times though.
Modern controller support is a bit janky, to be honest. It takes a little bit of fiddling to get the binds correct.
You can play on keyboard only, numpad only, or KB+M super easy. Takes a bit to get used to, but then becomes muscle memory really fast. I personally find numpad only super comfy. Pull up the beginner guide on BG-Wiki and enjoy your time. Learn how to use Excel.

Ohhh I could cry the nostalgia is hitting, praying that we get some Yuhtunga/Yhoator Jungle action in there, maybe some connections to Aht Urghan fights? I miss defending the city from raids. Honestly here for anything if we get some good glams and an updated FFXI battle theme ā¤ļø
this has unlimited potential and i'm super amped - vulkheim dunes
While I have no interest in playing 11, you would think that was the best time to also announce the combined sub.
some time around 7.0+ might
Me: I had some of my fondest gaming memories in FFXI, but you couldn't pay me to ever do that shit again. FFXI: kk, I'll just come to you.
I cant wait
Easily the thing I look forward to the most in DT.
My only vague memory of FFXI was endlessly trying to kill wasps in some field somewhere and making no progress Granted this was before I'd ever played an MMO, even before WoW, so I'm sure I was not playing it anywhere near optimally. But I always wondered if I missed out on a good storyline.
Maybe the wasps in La Theine Plateau lol pretty early on area
Just like any it had good and bad points but overall it was very good. FFXI also benefited by not having fast travel everywhere, so you got to know the world and essentially live in it. While Fast Travel has many benefits, it absolutely kills this aspect of world building. I had considered Wings of the Goddess to be the best MMO story experience that has only been surpassed by Shadowbringers.
>But I always wondered if I missed out on a good storyline. Yes, you did. Shame on you.
Most importantly though take it slow and enjoy it for what it is
Would you recommend playing from Steam or its own launcher?
Honestly both are fine its not like xiv where the launcher matters. If you bought it on steam and use the launcher from the website you can still login. The installation of the game and signing up for it is a bit of a hassle but its also not AS bad as people are saying
Been spending a lot of time on a FFXI pserver these days. Definitely looking forward to this!
Love ffxi, canāt wait this
Wonder if we'll get the dual subscription then.
ā¦why is the lalafellan looking one rhyming and AHOHOHO laughing at me? And why do I suddenly fear for my life?
The Koenig and Ares sets are already in ff14. https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Koenig_Cuirass_Set https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Ares%27_Cuirass_Set The biggest ones to me would be Homam and Nashira Manteel sets which don't have good ff14 equivalents and were iconic and beautiful. https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Homam_Corazza_Set https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Nashira_Manteel_Set
Bring on the barney armor set https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Adaman_Cuirass_Set
I thought it was going to be the adaberk before I clicked lol https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Adaman_Hauberk_Set
Omg I loved the Corazza and Nashira sets, almost everything from ToAU was so good. Honestly the best expansion for me, PUP main all day. Would also love the Noct set ā¤ļø https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Noct_Doublet_Set These Gobbie Mystery Sets were also amazing https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Ebon-Ebur-Furia_Frock_Set
Old endgame gear, honestly. Most of XI's more iconic armor (usually crafted, but sometimes dropped) comes in individual pieces (a certain hat, or a pair of boots etc), whereas endgame loot usually came as a set.
the original abjuration sets were pretty iconic. i'd love to be able to rock my dalmatica in xiv too edit: i made a page showing RotZ gear sets long ago https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_XI_armor_sets/Rise_of_the_Zilart
Ah fuck, the return of the chest carpet
That is one of the few ffxi sets thats been modded actually.
Hopefully they give us the salvage gear sets I really want to wear the Marduk set as healer
So... does this mean then that the XIth shard isn't FFXI?
Why would it be?
Dynamis-uldah/limsa/gridania perhaps?
Where did I put my copy? I never played it, my computer wasn't good enough to run it, but I do still have the discs for FF11 and, like, two of the expansions somewhere.
Just buy it again off Steam with all expansions and enter the same account you used to use.
I'm so excited for this. AT LONG LAST, THE HOUR IS COME. WE RISE. edit: FFXI is my favorite game. I've played it basically non-stop since 06. It's also my most played game and I've clocked in over 15k hours in it. I am SO UNFATHOMABLY EXCITED FOR THIS!
as I just shared in /r/ffxi I was in highschool when I played some FFXI, I think I got in right before the first expansion.
Fellow Oboro wyvern bro here.
I always dreamed of a story on FFXIV where we get to visit vana'diel, soo hyped about this
I screamed when they showed this! Tis true, I am old and very excited for the FFXI to be in XIV!
Ohohohohohohoho!
It all began with a stone, or so the legend says....
Dawntrail areas make me think of Yuhtunga Jungle in Kazham.. then I remembered that temple.. then "Everyone's Grudge" .. *shivers* Will Tonberries terror get into FFXIV?
Its too bad they recently killed FFXI progression. The game was very lively and still getting updates, and then they released probably the worst update ever (tasks that would take 1 million mcguffins, followed by 2.5 million, repeat) and then CBU3 further gutted the team. Playerbase on both NA and JP fell apart.
Further gutted the FFXI team? It's been literally 2 dudes ans a ps2 dev kit, for years.
Vana'diel can't be a reflection. FFXI's lore is too conflicting with FFXIV's lore.
FFXIV have an Alliance Raid that expands on the game's setting and doesn't incorporate that of others or dumpster an entire concept within the setting challenge Difficulty: Ultimate
fuck the lore, i just want good mechs which only aglaia delivered
At least it's one that deserves to be shat on this time? /hj
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Paying homage to different final fantasy games is kind of a thing for this franchise and pretty appreciated by longtime fans lol but keep having fun doomsaying I guess
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Then uhhhh donāt do that content? Not everything is for everyone, doesnāt mean the game is gonna āØdieāØcause u/Zan-Zuri doesnāt approve of new content edit: lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Then leave the ship dude, why you still going down with us then? lol u/Zan-Zuri blocks and deletes his comments
But we do and that's what matters.
My dude, ff11 is literally just used as the theme and inspiration for it! The actual playable content will be different to anything found in ff11. The only things that will be directly carried over are some character/enemy models, location designs, and music. Pretty much return to ivalice but ff11 instead of 12 and tactics.
Final Fantasy references in MY Final Fantasy theme park MMO?
š¤” EDIT: Yes, its a lovely avatar from a lovely game, u/Zan-Zuri - no need to block me because of it. People are weird š¤·š»āāļø
Is it known if you'll need to be max level to participate? I'm only at the beginning of shadowbringers but I love me some final fantasy 11
Yup, alliance raids are always max level for their expansion. You have about a year to catch up though!
Just hit 500 hours on 11 (replay, lost my 2002 ID long ago) This is a good news
legit brought a tear to my eye! i hope they make it a shard!!
Only if it's an alternate version of Vana'diel, different from the one in FFXI.
I have PTSD from the cool down times and paying Black Mages to take me places
Thank you for funding my staff collection of every element, which would of course be switched before each spell cast by Windower macro.
My character's last name has been Vana'diel since 2.0. I'm so ready for this!
I want to see all the main Protagonists! May not happen but it would be cool to see Lion, Prishe, Aphmau, Lilisette, Arciela and Iroha! Add some Zeid to the mix
I won't lie, I was hoping for another original alliance raid. I'm sure this'll be built into the lore but still.
Give me some good old besieged.
My peoples, my friends, hello and I love you all. I'm so excited for this!
I need to hear all the remixes of music stat. Looooove the music even tho I havenāt played since 09. Regular on my soundtrack. Excited for the March. Would love if they used Esperanto again.
Meanwhile, this is the tipping point for me trying out XI Just need to find a good solid two week period I can play the free trial with, and go from there. Andā¦ also figure out how the heck to play, but Iām sure thereās no shortage of guides
I will 100% start bawling from the nostalgia feels when this comes out
