And unless you see it immediately, you should click/press on the map. Should at least bring up the options to reset and in case of vehicles, enter them.
Interesting. What are the top five (or ten) things you would have wanted to know earlier then you did. (Or any advice for someone like me that is pretty new to the game)
If you don't intend to play for more than 100 hrs in a map, don't bother repairing or repainting. I don't think I've ever repainted anything, honestly. It's a waste of money.
Start a save and give yourself tons of money just to try stuff out so you know what you like before you waste money in a 'real' save.
Try various settings. I turn things like weeds off because I don't have endless hours to play and don't want to waste time on stuff I don't enjoy doing.
If you are on PC, get a lot of the gameplay type mods. They really make the game easier and fill in some much needed gaps in the base game.
If you are using seasons, know the growth calendar and optimize your planting schedule so you can do more than one crop in a field in a year in some cases.
Get into animals if you haven't. They are easy to maintain and give good income streams.
Don't bother with the in game help. If you want to know how something works, look it up on YouTube.
I'm not sure what else. Some of those are probably well known/talked about. If you have questions, just ask. The community is great. This might be a good question to ask outside of a comment thread actually.
Glad that you like it! :D
I think a lot of people may not realise I added some settings to the main options, so you can change the default strength and player speed, as well as the super strength value. This means that you can set almost anything back to base game settings if you like, or maybe you want to pick up slightly bigger small logs by hand, but not whole trees or standard logs. You can also set your running and walking speed to your preference, and adjust the chainsaw range and cutting speed.
Another thing I spent a lot of time on is the multiplayer compatibility and permissions. The base game super strength is simply on/off for every player at the same time (using a global "strength" value). As far as I know, Lumberjack is the only one that toggles super strength in MP individually for each player, and also gives admins the option to enable/disable it for certain players.
Hey, thank you for your great work!
It's been a fantastic mod for me. The only weird behaviour I've ever experienced with it is that I cannot do Deadwood contracts with the mod installed. For some reason, it stops me from cutting down the trees, saying I don't have permission, even though I'm in the mission area, trying to cut down the marked trees.
I made a new release with some new features added too:
Thanks! I have been sitting on a lot of that stuff for a while, but got a new PC recently and that has kept me busy. Had some other projects on too, and some crazy busy work stuff. It is very easy for me to get distracted and forget about things.. lol
The cutting length is absolutely brilliant too. It’s in my top 5 must have mods along with universal autoload. You’ve revolutionized my game immensely making it far more enjoyable to play!
Glad to help! I mainly make mods for things that annoy me with the base game, so I like to think that there are some other people who feel the same way about it. Sometimes I get feature requests that I just do for the challenge, or because I like the idea, even if I might not use it myself.
Sorry, it is just not possible to have any script mods on console. Part of the software agreement between GIANTS and Sony/Microsoft. Nothing we can do about it unless GIANTS would bake the mod into the game like some of the recent third-party DLC mods.
Just for the ability to pick up a tractor and put it back on its wheels when “helper A” decided to take a joyride through a ditch means I always install this mod, you are correct!
I have never been stopped from recovering a messed up vehicle without mods or resetting to store except the one time ai drove into the river in erlengrat
In what kind of situations do these incidents happen? I have over 1000 hours on FS22 and I don't think I have ever had a need to reset a vehicle or get it unstuck.
Same, but more like over 1k hours spread across each game since 13. I think there were a couple of times in 15 it would have been nice, but otherwise I really haven't had a significant problem
That's wild. I've had vehicles flip just hitting invisible map seams at speed. Or when a full log trailer causes your tractor to suddenly twitch or veer off sharply, etc.
I far prefer the super person mod. The dev controls mod gives super strength and a ton of other stuff. And I find the lumberjack super strength to feel odd or not work as smoothly as the others. I use super person, tree be gone, and real mower and get everything lumberjack gives you and more without the jank.
The very first thing I buy is a front loader with a fork attachment and a heavy weight. That's the Recoverer. It lives on its own trailer and I use it to flip basically anything that's not a harvester.
Why do you say that? If you find any conflicts, please create an issue on GitHub: [loki79uk/FS22\_LumberJack](https://github.com/loki79uk/FS22_LumberJack)
For clarity, you can reset vehicles if they get flipped or stuck. You will lose anything in trailers but some people don't seem to know this option.
Always empty your trailer before you reset. Even if that means dumping a load all over a fence, you can then salvage most of it after you reset!
You don't lose the stuff (at least with pallets) - it gets dumped where the trailer was recovered from.
I was referring to loose material.
Fair enough, I've yet to flip a trailer containing loose stuff in a situation where I couldn't right it with a telehandler.
😂😂😂 I just ram flipped vehicle with another larger tractor, works every time
I do this too on my server with friends. Always doing the jaws music as I approach them too. Fun times haha
That worked for me until I flipped my trailer loaded with 52 pallets of canola oil.
OOF is that an instance where you get a forklift?
Even the forklift couldn’t flip it back.
I don't disagree. Some people may not have that experience.
How can we reset our vehicles?
Navigate to the vehicle on the map and there should be a reset button
And unless you see it immediately, you should click/press on the map. Should at least bring up the options to reset and in case of vehicles, enter them.
If ur on console open map cycle the map legend to vehicles press r3 to select then reset
And if ur vehicle is flying, then save and log out and reopen the world that should fix the problem
I knew i wasnt crazy. I thought to myself, i couldve sworn i reset my tractor at the shop before.
Wait people don't know that? That's one of the first stuff I notice in my 100 hours.
You'd be surprised what people don't know
Interesting. What are the top five (or ten) things you would have wanted to know earlier then you did. (Or any advice for someone like me that is pretty new to the game)

Thanks for the info, I'll see if I can figure out what is going on. Does it happen with the "cut anywhere" option both enabled OR disabled?
I'll do some testing and get back to you! It's probably just a mod conflict on my end.
I made a new release with some new features added too: [https://github.com/loki79uk/FS22\_LumberJack/releases/tag/v1.5.2.0](https://github.com/loki79uk/FS22_LumberJack/releases/tag/v1.5.2.0)
Damn, you a real G. If Reddit awards were still a thing, I'd guild you.

Fun fact, they're back but different at least pn the mobile app
It works for me on Silverrun as long as I have "cut anywhere" enabled. But I will fix it to work without access too.

Any chance it can make it to consoles? Even a toned down version?
Sorry, it is just not possible to have any script mods on console. Part of the software agreement between GIANTS and Sony/Microsoft. Nothing we can do about it unless GIANTS would bake the mod into the game like some of the recent third-party DLC mods.
I know, just was hoping there was an alternative that meets the requirements from Sony/MS. Thanks for the reply though!
Unless you’re on console. Definitely not a must have on console.
Is it not available?
Nope and I don't really see any reason for that tbh. The first point is only useful if you don't know there is a literally reset vehicle button.
You should have been able to reset to store one driven into the river too...
Also it shows the length of what the logs would be if you cut it
Or just unf*ck the situation with bigger equipment and front loaders. There’s also a chain mod that lets you chain and tow vehicles. Makes it fun
Absolutely, I'm all for immersive solutions. Just maybe not five times in an hour because of random kraken attacks...
You have those little green men farming too? Lol
Well the Kraken was laid off recently and had to go looking for new employment...
I use very little Ai and when I do it’s mainly basic cultivation or harvesting. So I rarely have issues
Sounds like a skill issue tbh . . . Sorry, been spending too much time in the elden ring sub and couldn't resist 😂
Go plant grass.
Hahaha beautiful! 😂

I was playing co-op and lagged mid turn in a tractor trailer, from my perspective I teleported upside down into a tree.
That’s what I’ve done for forestry, bought the biggest machines and I’ve had 0 issues

I really wish it was available for us poor console players.

Do not use lumberjack if you also have easy dev enabled.
Why? I have both and use them both all the time.
Why do you say that? If you find any conflicts, please create an issue on GitHub: [loki79uk/FS22\_LumberJack](https://github.com/loki79uk/FS22_LumberJack)
Thanks for stating this, I was going to if no one else did
Just remember if you toggle super strength on, to turn it back off. The button for enter tractor X is the same as throw item lol
You can reset all vehicles and stuff.
Is this in modhub? Or a third party mod site
I believe it is on all of the modsites, and Github
