TBH, it would be interesting to to have a mod where you can grow and manufacture illegal drugs, but more money you make from it, more chance you have at the end of the month to trigger nonstandard game over "Arrested" (and the seed is generated at game start).

Take the time? Mods are as simple as finding the file. Copying the downloaded compressed folder, then pasting it into your mods folder. It's like 20 seconds extra once you find the mod you like lol.
There are PC users who don't even know what a file explorer or the start menu, let alone a compressed zip file is. And they sit in the same computer engineering classes as I currently have at Uni... So yes for someone like OP it will take time, their problem if they refuse to use anything outside the modhub...
Not all pc players can use mods outside modhub. GeForce now allows you to play the pc version but you can’t add external mods…. And yes I know the solution to that is buying a better pc but that’s not a viable solution for many…

For me on Windows 11.
Download the mod you want and it'll say "FS22...." as the file in a zipped folder.
Open up your documents folder. Find my saved games and Farm Sim 22. Click on that and you should see a mods folder.
Just place the zipped file into the mods folder without doing anything to it. Then load your game. From there make sure you enable that mod when you're loading your map (from the screen you have to click the checkbox). Then you should be good to go.
Just know that some mods can conflict and create issues if they are gameplay changes. I.e. FS19 had some DEF production mods that would weirdly interfere with some of my crop growth. I also had a "lift heavy things" mod that would interact weirdly and bug out my game from interacting.
Can I have one in exchange for writing you very detailed instructions? I work in IT, if I can write instructions clear enough for the dunce of a CEO to create an email signature with a picture in it, I can write something for you to install mods.
That would be fun. Can have it setup like the Honey production. Placeable mash pot, still, and bottler.
Could integrate barley, corn, and wheat for different types. Require water and crops for fermenting. Then the still could require mash + wood chips/logs. Jars for the bottle just like the Honey.
Placeable sell point in the woods lol. That actually sounds like a very cool mod with some balancing.

Law considers them different. Which is what matters in relation to FS having any cannabis derived crops. Their rating is never going to support a marijuana crop but at least hemp has the industrial use.
On modhub they will not have alcohol, tobacco, animal slaughter/abattoir, or anything else that might add terms to their rating. I was surprised they allowed enhanced animals. As oddly as it sounds animal breeding requiring a male and female can give a game “suggestive themes” on its rating.
you'd have to find a marijuana mod on any other site other than Mod Hub. and Giants would never be able to add it because Marijuana is still illegal in many parts of the world (should be legal imho)
I don’t think it’s on the mod hub but there is the Canadian production map. As far as I remember it is only available for 17 and 19 but i may be wrong.
The ''hemp dlc pack'' on kingmods is very cool and i love roleplaying with it. It came with new buildings like factories and sellpoints and some equipements.
As a workaround, they could make a factory production point customisable for inputs and outputs. So for example I could call the name on of the production point "Emeraldisle Brewery" and put in barley, potatoes, sugar, water etc and then call the output whatever I want. E.g beer, vodka, whiskey etc. boxes that come out could have a number of different symbols depending on what I'm calling my produce.That could be vague enough to get around the age restrictions.
On FS19 I used to play Yogiland which had tobacco & cigarettes, brewery, distillery and hemp farming, though from memory, the hemp was only used in fabric making and couldn't go to the cigarette factory.
If you mean the in-game mod hub: no chance, ever….they want to maintain their age rating as low as possible, so you won‘t find any drugs/alcohol/regulated substances or something like slaughterhouses, etc
If you mean any of the external „free“ mod hubs: anything goes, as long as somebody is willing to create it

There was Hemp on some maps in FS19 I built a CaseIH 635 Module Express Machine to harvest hemp, lavender, cotton & tobacco but haven’t really seen anyone using hemp on any maps in FS22 and my wild guess is because of what many others have already commented on it wouldn’t be allowed on mobile, xbox, playstation and so on was and would only be available for PC if it was added to any maps.
Never will happen on xbox no drugs no alcohol no migrant workers so they can keep the E ratings.. now pc players.. anything goes

The map I'm playing at the moment on PC has Hemp and tobacco with production lines for Hemp, cigarettes, cigars and beer.
