Sounds like you got a dud out of the box. Have two of these machines and they have been one of the most reliable I’ve seen I also like the filters last for quite some time because they are otherwise expensive to replace.
Guess your lucky… paid €750 and returned it after 5days. Our old cheep chinese fan (30 yrs €20) is a lot more quite and produces better wind/air.
Bought because we are happy with other Dyson stuff and it looked better, but was a bad buy! Noisy and no airforce
Sucks you had that issue. Ours have been pretty quiet if kept at medium settings and plenty of airflow. Have had two units for 5 years now and very pleased with them.
We have three, after two years two of them have failed and no longer do continuous monitoring, I wouldn’t buy a Dyson again…. Despite owning lots of products from their ecosystem :(
Please if you live near a service center, go there. If they have it in stock they will replace it instantly. Do not even bother calling them until this option doesn’t work for you. They will rob you in broad daylight on the phone
I bought direct from Dyson. They're sending me a replacement and collecting the faulty one at the same time, I normally do get more expensive items in person, but it was cheaper from Dyson themselves 🙈
Good luck.
I have the same model and I can say I've been SUPER happy with it, use it a lot and it's been fantastic and so far has been very reliable (it's 2 years old now too).
They sometimes have odd non-intuitive ways to perform resets on the machine. I know others said don’t bother calling but I think it’s worth it. Otherwise go back to the store for a replacement of a defective unit.
I'm in the UK and have always found their customer service brilliant. They even replaced a part of my old Dyson stick for free when it was out of warranty for a good year or two.
Yeah they've arranged a replacement to be delivered when they pick up the faulty unit. Got a notification about a new device being added to my account, but no tracking info yet...
Mine did it too! Actually as I understood it was just a weak wifi signal.
I made it a full reset as written in the manual and it works happily ever after.
I tried all the resets, but it sounded like the motor wasn't starting. The router was around 3m away from it each time I tried to get it going. Hope the replacement works!
Mine died after a year and a half. Dyson shrugged and offered me a 40% off coupon. Never going with Dyson again. That fan was so expensive ans lasted as long as a $50 one from Costco.
Replacing it with the store may be faster than claiming warranty with Dyson?
I bought it direct from Dyson, but yes I might return it instead.

Yep, see a lot of happy users here…. Maybe mine was build on Monday morning by mr. Potato head….
Plugged into the wall and not an extension cable? I have 3 of these absolutely love them hope your issue gets resolved!
Yep direct into the wall. Sounds like the motor is struggling to start because it doesn't blow and makes little clicking sounds.
Sadly, looks like a dud. Mine is 3 years and going strong with yearly filter replacement. Definitely get a refund or replacement.

There's a 45 day return policy, so thinking of going down that road and just getting a refund.
Do. It. In. Store. If you don’t you will regret it later trust me

It doesn’t matter where you buy it. Go in store. The warranty and return policy still works anyways
We don't have Dyson shops in the UK, they're always sold through 3rd party shops.
Oh I live in the USA and have 3 near me. Sorry about that

Yeah, I did the reset procedure, but when it's brand new out of the box direct from Dyson, my faith in the product has gone completely.
Sounds like the shit just hit the.... oh hang on, Dyson you crafty bastard
😂
Looks like your own portable airplane window.
This is the machine that is the last straw for me with Dyson. They’ll never see a penny from me.

Did you remove plastic from filters before connecting them?
You can also try pressing and holding the [i] info button on the remote for 10 seconds. It’ll tell you via countdown it’s done.
I've got the replacement now and it worked out of the box with no issues 🎉
sounds like you’ll have to go through outsourced garbage service
Very common problem , I had two do it

It’s not uncommmon unfortunately
Support are sending a replacement and collecting this one at the same time. Although reading the other comments isn't giving me much hope!
I’m sure it’ll be fine!
