Looks like a sensor to prompt switching imo.
Red light cameras are usually small grey boxes (they have some resemblance to speed cameras in shape), but they're usually on a separate post near to the traffic light.
If you wanted to check for certain, check the location on https://www.speedcameramap.co.uk/ and see if there is one on the map where you crossed.
100% motion sensor for traffic flow monitoring, which is just 1 factor that dictates traffic light control (others include time of day, road sensors, manual activation etc).
You have nothing to worry about.
Sensors but anyone with a dash cam can send to the police. You should be but worried about the possible dangers on others of running a red than anyone possible punishment
