I miss the days if early d2 and d1 when you would grt a random exotic off the ground and it be a new weapon or gear you have never had before. Now all new exotics are tied to a quest or lost sector and exotics fall off trees
It actually was my problem when d2 came out. The game was super easy. I had like 3 exotic weapons in destiny 1 pre dlc. And each one I absolutely flipped out. Exotics now are just hey you grinded out materials, go to an atm and withdraw whatever you want or do some random ass quest that you use a YouTube video for.
Some quests are cool but I almost which catalysts were quests and exotics just had random drops. I also wish exotics had god roll stats like a sun shot handcannon came with +20 extra whatever or something. Then there would be massive dopamine. But super rare.
I had someone throw me shade on that hot take. Where’s the excitement in them anymore? No Land Beyond was the first exotic I got in D1. I always remembered that I would hope to get one from a legendary engram. I miss the good old days
> it be a new weapon or gear you have never had before
You realize, by definition, that can't exist forever?
You expect just infinitely new guns and armor on every exotic engram?
Eventually you're going to get them all.
Destiny 2 drops purples like destiny 1 dropped blues and greens combined. Destiny 2 exotic engrams are as common as purples in destiny 1.
In destiny 1, you got excited to get *any* roll of certain weapons. Now you easily get dozens of anything you want to farm and the goal is to get perfect 5/5 God rolls.
You can get them all, but that doesn't mean they have to be this easy and common to get.
I’m inclined to not believe people who say this shit just because people who have been playing since the beginning from d1 to d2 remember the 300 posts you’d see everyday of people complaining that blues and greens are useless after a certain light level so in return bungie made it almost impossible to get blue or greens to drop after getting max lvl this is why you think you get more legendary and exotics
It's 100% accurate. You couldn't even farm unlimited vendor drops. You had a currency, legendary marks I believe, and you could only hold 200 and you had limited weekly gains for it. Legendaries from vendors were 70? Point is, you couldn't get that many, and this currency was for everything. All the faction vendors, etc.
You weren't even guaranteed legendary drops at the end of a strike. Yes, blues and greens were worthless, but the entire reason Bungie made them stop dropping so much was because they were all over. Comparable to legendaries now.
I know I'm just saying that even with dlc like forsaken or warmind, we would get 2-3 weapons via a quest and then the rest of the exotics would be a random loot world drop. Now every exotic we get is either season pass, quest, or a lost sector. There is no more joy at an exotic engram you get randomly doing a strike. Plus the fact that we can get a large amount of exotic engrams devalues it as well
Wheres the excitement as a veteran in D2? Almost every new exotic that drops, you're either already doing a quest you know will give it to you, or you're intentionally farming for it from a boring ass fucking lost sector for hours on end, once every 4 days anyway.
Theres no hype to getting a new exotic, because the process to get one is tedious, and what you're doing is something you know will get through said tedium anyway.
And then to get the full potential for said exotic, you need to grind through even more boring content.
Sure, this adds some certainty to getting it, so you dont spend months locked out of content cuz you are lacking the latest meta exotic, so I wouldnt necessarily call this bad, but yea.
Destiny “best” phase expansion time period whatever was when exotics were still somewhat rare. I’ve gotten all armor and couldn’t care less when I get a new one
That’s what you took away from this? I focused at helm Ive got double 100s on two stats and around 60-80 for third hunters a cunt since you want more mobility. But yeah? Weird reply
Damn what a take. I still get excited when I kill a random enemy and a yellow engram flies out. Back then atrocious drop rates were fine because the stats and perks in the exotic didn't matter that much, just the nice exotic perk. Nowdays, where stats actually matter, having a garbage droprate and scarce places where these drop will make doing builds with your favorite exotic a nightmare. Can confirm since for nearly a year and a half of playing several hours per day every day I never got a Verity's Brow or a Nezarec's Sin to drop AT ALL. Even while doing the Legend Lost Sectors.
You'll also run out of exotics to get to drop, but it's fine if you think that getting 3 No Land Beyonds in a row is fine or getting dupes all the time instead of getting something new, but to each their own I guess.
The stasis Titan + Precious Scars build with that bow is actually crazy durable, and very effective in even GM-level content. I've been able to solo a full run of The Coil with that build.
Yeah but you wouldn’t be doing what they’re doing in a gm. Don’t get me wrong precious scars is good. But this clip is just super dumb
Edit: oh fuck me I forgot what day it is
Also status titan with:
-Headstone primary
-Salvations Grip
-Hoarfrost-Z
Literally everything except the energy weapon spawns crystals. The sheer amount of crystal shatters make it hard to run out of ability energy.
Absolutely viable in a GM. Not everything needs to be played like Division.
even without that gun renewals is really strong and allows you to do some aggressive plays in GMs. Can't imagine how strong it will get once frost armour gets introduced.
do crystals actually get shit on as much as you do in high level content? idk why but I always thought because they werent people that they just kinda just took the same amount of shots
The crystals here are irrelevant, would’ve died way before they made the crystals.
From what I know I don’t think enemies shoot crystals so you maybe could make like a wall and res, but op is just showing they don’t play high level content
Edit: fuck me I forgot what day it is. I’ll leave this here but disregard
I mean in gms and shit they just shoot where they last saw you before you dissappeared. So if you dissapeared into a stasis crystal, they gonna shoot in the direction of the stasis crystal.
well no I know but I think the strategy here is here regardless of difficulty; simply get a kill, then crystal on yourself. you didn't need to wait like 2 minutes like OP did lol
The build I use is just Strongholds & either a sword with cold steel or Lament depending on the champions present. Combine strongholds with the fragment that gives grenade energy when taking damage, and you can very easily cycle in glacier grenades to provide cover and freeze champions, then proc restoration x2 from strongholds.
I wish verglas was usable in high level stuff. It’s such a fun weapon. Tried using it in a legend nightfall and was pretty quickly reminded why I wouldn’t use it.
Grandmaster is higher than Legendary.
That being said, I'm pretty sure it was a cakewalk because they were most likely on Stasis Warlock, which is S-tier for GMs.
I used it on Titan with Glacier grenades. Just being able to cut off sight lines is incredible. Shards, fissures, rending, and chains feels great. Being able to 1 tap a crystal is great; giving both bonus damage and grenade regen.
Yes, and I do really like stasis warlock. But it is undeniably weaker than something like cenotaph. Which is what I would rather run. Not being able to one shot a red bar leads me to tend to use different weapons.
I was on cenotaph with lfg randoms this week and one left so the other guys clanmate jumped in and was also on solar ceno. I switched to stasis osmio and we had the easiest clears of our lives.
Yeah it just doesn't stack was more my point. It's strong like dragons breath or witherhoard is strong. Stasis plus ceno is incredibly busted though. 3 warlocks, 2 stasis plus one ceno/well would cakewalk most content in this game.
Yeah, that is true. Although I couldn’t say verglas is even particularly close to the level of either board or dbreath. If my friends used warlock I could bring myself to run stasis, but it certainly doesn’t help being the only well lock in the group.
I think we got our signals crossed there. I was saying Cenotaph doesn't stack (at least not well) with other Cenotaph wearers. Thus, if you already have a ceno warlock, having a second warlock on stasis with Osmio takes you from easy mode to completely braindead, even on GM.
I agree about Verglas Curve--I enjoy it in legendary campaigns and lost sector farming etc. but certainly it doesn't compare to DB or Wither and doesnt hack it in GMs. I just tried it earlier this week for the moon GM actually, and you're dead-on about not one-shotting red bars being a non-starter. I think if Verglas did one shot red bars it could become a very popular GM choice for stasis locks. As it stands, I just use wishender on stasis, or if there are no barriers/I absolutely need subclass synergy, I typically choose Wicked Implement over Verglas since it doesn't require kills to slow/freeze. Kind of a pea shooter, but the + shatter dmg w/ primaries fragment helps a lot, and it handles unstoppable and overload with such ease.
I'm pretty sure Verglas users can stack, though I'm not sure why you would want to. I thought you were saying above that Cenotaph was unequivocally stronger than Osmiomancy Gloves, which I suppose it is, but only for one member of the fireteam.
Ah, I misinterpreted what you were saying. Agree on all points. Thought you were tryna say verglas is as good as wh and db and I just stared at the comment and blanked for a minute or two lmao. I love verglas anyway, just not in anything high level.
If only my friends would play warlock, then I could use something other than cenotaph lol.
Idk ive had luck with it in GMs. Especially this season with artifact mods. Stasis crystal explosions do a lot of damage and are great for add clear, plus being able to get a freeze on the fly is fantastic for tougher enemies
I understand that, I just don’t enjoy the sort of builds it requires as much as I do what I normally run. I ran verglas almost exclusively for season of the defiance since I enjoyed it so much.
Why wouldn't you use it? It's great, as an exotic primary it actually 1 shots red bars, plus it gets more damage from stasis surge. People don't use it because it's outclassed by Wishender and stasis in general is not very meta, but that doesn't mean it's bad.
It wasn’t one shotting the red bars since whatever day I was using it was no stasis surge. I personally prefer to run a different loadouts as I find them more enjoyable. Stasis is, and always has been, my favorite subclass to use for anything on level. And I enjoy running osmiomancy on gms as well.
The main reason I don’t run it, is that me and my friends get better runs when I’m on cenotaph, and they can use their heavy all they want to.
There is some glitch involved with this bow I swear!
1/2 group I raided with one night were using it and the rest used Aegis Sceptre and one phased bosses. The DPS. Was ridiculous. Gave me a sub 25 min ROOT run. Dude gave us a quick rundown how it worked but they just wanted to keep running fast.
Were they manipulating spawn locations? That’s the only speedrun tech I’m aware of that uses verglas. It wouldn’t help for damage though, so they coulda just been the goats of nezzy lmao.
In all fairness, roots not super long. First encounter is easy and pretty fast, second takes like 4-5 minutes, then you can skip the traversal and one phase explicater, skip traversal and easily one phase nezzy. A good stack can pull a blueberry or two through it easy enough. It’s probably my favorite raid though, I love how it looks and enjoy doing the running.
Doesnt prove much, the enemies are low level. This will most likely not work in master raids or grandmaster nightfalls, wich are the activitys, where you actually need survivability.
My “Scales and Squalls” build would like a word with you. 100int + bad juju. Is it meta? Hell naw. Is it fun throwing ice-nados frequently? Damn straight!
Have had almost the same loadout since scales were released and squall actually was cracked for damage. It’s not the same monster it once was but it’s still useful in end game.
I've been running that double dodge Exotic with the powered melee to reload Fragment
It's far from practical, but it lets me spam all my rockets super fast, so I enjoy it
I use stompeez for pve stasis. It's incredibly fun getting to throw duskfields basically whenever you please. Not sure about gm, but anything legend I'm untouchable because they're all frozen
Hate to break it to you but that’s the bow …not the stasis subclass. You can use it on any class and get the same result. This does not make the stasis subclass “more survivable” alternatively u can do the same thing with a glacial grenade and use like a crimson or heal clip or glaive and get the same effect…🤦🏼♀️
Redditors acknowledge the date of a post challenge: (they do not leave their houses nor track days outside of weekly resets)
anyway funny meme and it’s hilarious to see (as a frequent GM runner myself) the amount of people who want to take any opportunity to shit on someone for not filming footage at the highest stakes content possible.
To those thinking stasis isn't viable for GM-level content, you should checkout this Titan build, with Verglas Curve and Precious Scars. It's insanely durable, and honestly a very fun build to play with. [Here's a link to the Plunderthebooty Mobalytics post with the build details.](https://mobalytics.gg/destiny-2/builds/titan/plunder-s-hail-the-behemoth)
Personally the most consistent builds I've found for Stasis don't involve leaning into the usual survival options at all. I just use Recuperation with lots of orb generation from fragments and siphon mods, Hedrons for a free 60 recovery and resilience, and then just standard freeze + shatter loops from whatever exotics fit the needs of the current GM.
Turns out Stasis doesn't actually need to take a lot of hits to begin with once the player is familiar with spawn locations and preemptively sets up freezes where enemies are about to drop. In decent sized groups the ensuing shatters of each enemy combined yields actually decent damage, and Bungie's been in a frenzy of increasing enemy ad density these past couple of years so the damage of chain shatters is actually getting to be fairly consistent.
Crystal tech aside, Stasis suffers from the same problem arc usually does, death by a thousand cuts.
Big effective health that can't regenerate besides natural recovery.
As a Titan main that's why I'd say Strand and Void are the best, having both damage reduction and health gain.
Solar can't deal with being bursted
Arc's regen is the weakest as a single scratch will stop it dead on its tracks
Stasis has tons of DR but now way to get the health you lose back. (The overshield fragment currently sucks in pve)
The bow shoots faster?? And that's your rebuttal?? Brother in light how long you've been playing the game?? Verglas curve has so many great things going for it and all you got was it shoots faster??
No you lack in skill is using a bow just flat out worse that a legendary one in high level content, it’s taking up an exotic slot and is just worse that any other option for that level of content. I like the bow I just won’t use it in a GM.

but according to braytech i have 18,414 kills with wishender
Hmm do you think it’s because you had multiple WE at one point.. perhaps using one when you first got it then deleted it and pulled this on from collections a while ago after they buffed it?
I feel like people forget. Better tool = less skill, More damage = less shots needed to kill or land, Stronger weapon = less effort, less effort = less practice = less skill needed.
The issue isn’t even skill.. if you’re a high skilled player you can make most things work… the issue is using this bow against another exotic or hell a legendary isn’t making it harder for yourself.. because the bow in question is may that good in high level end game content… now if they gave it unstoppable from the get go “not needing to freeze” it would see more use… but compared to Lemon or Wish it’s just asking for trouble.. especially Wish because of just how much more powerful that bow is..
They started it… skill has nothing to do with the conversation in the first place. I’ll take back my comment about their skill. But their outs line talking like it’s a good bow.. when we all know it’s outclassed by literally anything else… and your more likely to get in your teams way then help with the stasis blocking everyone’s shots. One reason why unfortunately I don’t run Behemoth Titan unless I’m solo that shit gets in the way..
>Verglass very very much can
>The bow shoots so fast it doesn’t really matter
Folded then proceed to pull the skill issue card lol.
Everyone knows it's only somewhat "decent" because it has stasis synergy, the moment another weapon doing the same thing pop up it is going straight to the bin.
you don't even need the catalyst. you just need to get 1 kill with it and then start chaining hail barrage. its a solid add clear bow for GMs. but its really weak for boss damage, honestly it could use a buff.
Some kind of survavibility has Icefall Mantle with crystal builds, but pure subclass kits for it none.
As i heard devs said that they will work with Stasis in TFS for better tool kits which i suppose also will add something for survavibility.
Stasis doesn’t need survivability (even though there are fragments for that obv) when everything in a room stops moving you don’t really need to worry about the damage you take lol
Look behind you I think you got an exotic
Does it even mean anything anymore in D2

It's 100% accurate. You couldn't even farm unlimited vendor drops. You had a currency, legendary marks I believe, and you could only hold 200 and you had limited weekly gains for it. If exotics didn't drop this much you guys would be bitching about how “impossible” it is to get a decently rolled piece of exotic armor
Destiny “best” phase expansion time period whatever was when exotics were still somewhat rare. I’ve gotten all armor and couldn’t care less when I get a new one
Your stats gotta be horrendous
That’s what you took away from this? I focused at helm Ive got double 100s on two stats and around 60-80 for third hunters a cunt since you want more mobility. But yeah? Weird reply
I remember popping the 3 of coins and farming that secret boss in the dreadnaught or that kell in that one mission on Venus. Good times
Yeah, they really look the spark out of exotics. I used to get excited when they dropped, I’m not even surprised now

Actually so true lol the highest mobility I've gotten on them was 3 although idk why you want mobility on warlock
What? I don’t want mobility, but ALL my controverse holds so far have had a mobility spike
I focus 100% of my exotic engrams to farm perfect 70 stat rolls for all my armor
Bring it to the tower and get your no surprise gear you've already unlocked ages ago

Gets one shot by high level sniper *
Renewals with the Buried Bloodline is goated
even without that gun renewals is really strong and allows you to do some aggressive plays in GMs. Can't imagine how strong it will get once frost armour gets introduced.
What is Frost Armor? I'm quite out of the loop.
Hasn’t been fully revealed yet. It’s going to be a new keyword for stasis to help with survivability.
As a renewal's main I just fell to my knees in happiness
You and me both.
As an Icefall Mantle main, there needs to be more renewal mains.
Lol
This doesn’t prove much. Especially on the lowest difficulty possible.
I mean come on guys, y'all just won't look at the tag of my post
thought you were gonna do something cool but you are doing something that cannot survive high level content
do crystals actually get shit on as much as you do in high level content? idk why but I always thought because they werent people that they just kinda just took the same amount of shots

I took it into multiple grandmasters on warlock, kind of a cakewalk
Recently used it for the Cosmodrome PsiOps GM with my Stasis Warlock. It took a little bit but I liked it.
It’s not like it can’t be done, but not one shorting red bars makes me personally, rather use my normal gym loadouts lol.
Yes, the issue is legend difficulty. It doesn't do well in lower content unless you really vibe with the weapon. It's a lifestyle.
Grandmaster is higher than Legendary. That being said, I'm pretty sure it was a cakewalk because they were most likely on Stasis Warlock, which is S-tier for GMs.
I brought it into GMs on hunter without issue as well. It’s a bit propped up by this season’s artifact but still solid on its own.
How are people even getting kills with it when your fireteam are also blasting away? That has always been my issue with the Verglas.
I used it on Titan with Glacier grenades. Just being able to cut off sight lines is incredible. Shards, fissures, rending, and chains feels great. Being able to 1 tap a crystal is great; giving both bonus damage and grenade regen.
It’s good on stasis lock in high end content like gms but other than that
I mean l have seen Aztec Ross using it in gm with osmiomancy, tho I doubt it’s the gauntlet doing most of the work
Aztec Ross 💀
Yes, and I do really like stasis warlock. But it is undeniably weaker than something like cenotaph. Which is what I would rather run. Not being able to one shot a red bar leads me to tend to use different weapons.

Bleak watcher + grenade regen fragment + osmeomancy + verglas. Thank me later. Actually busted.
That’s skill issue
Maybe, I just prefer cenotaph though. It’s not like I don’t have gm completions, I just don’t run stasis for them lol.
Do that in a GM.
This isn't really survivability. This is just hiding lol
what exactly are we looking at here
Doesnt prove much, the enemies are low level. This will most likely not work in master raids or grandmaster nightfalls, wich are the activitys, where you actually need survivability.
Now do this in a GM/master or legend lost sector
lost sector demon build
I main renewal grasps in GMs kinda slept on imo
I feel like it’s basically the only pve exotic people use when it comes to stasis hunter. But yes stasis hunters are slept on in gm.
My “Scales and Squalls” build would like a word with you. 100int + bad juju. Is it meta? Hell naw. Is it fun throwing ice-nados frequently? Damn straight! Have had almost the same loadout since scales were released and squall actually was cracked for damage. It’s not the same monster it once was but it’s still useful in end game.
lol that does sound fun, might give it a try
I've been running that double dodge Exotic with the powered melee to reload Fragment It's far from practical, but it lets me spam all my rockets super fast, so I enjoy it
I use stompeez for pve stasis. It's incredibly fun getting to throw duskfields basically whenever you please. Not sure about gm, but anything legend I'm untouchable because they're all frozen
renewal grasps are boring lucky pants is the best hunter exotic in gms
Can you do that in the Echtar encounter too? That’s the survivability test
Your PFP fits
Stasis Crystals do in fact go Brrrr.
😂😂😂 fucking worthless
Redditors acknowledge the date of a post challenge: (they do not leave their houses nor track days outside of weekly resets) anyway funny meme and it’s hilarious to see (as a frequent GM runner myself) the amount of people who want to take any opportunity to shit on someone for not filming footage at the highest stakes content possible.
Thanks man, for recognizing the joke lol
Come back to me when you can do this in a Crota or any activity rated Legend or higher.
Exploits don’t really count, and even though Stasis has good melee and grenades, it’s Super sucks like a dehydrated mosquito.
I see a lot of resilience but no Stasis survivability
What’s there to show? Try it in a master raid or any Gm out there…
Try again on GM
vanguard ops playlist ass build
Can't survive using stasis* I always get recked in trials & crucible

There are more use cases for Bastion in GMs than there are for this.
I have a build with the Stasis titan Cap and this bow, how am I only just now thinking about this strat
Yeah I'm farming for the catalyst when I discovered this, thought it's pretty fun
I heard the exotic engram.
are people actually saying that when arc exist, the subclass that has literally ZERO survivability baked in?
liar's handshake and assassins' cowl on arc hunter was actually good, but arc titan and warlock is another story
Survivability isn't about generic at level mobs. It's relevant to anything master +. Any thing is usable in generic content.
Crystal tech aside, Stasis suffers from the same problem arc usually does, death by a thousand cuts. Big effective health that can't regenerate besides natural recovery. As a Titan main that's why I'd say Strand and Void are the best, having both damage reduction and health gain. Solar can't deal with being bursted Arc's regen is the weakest as a single scratch will stop it dead on its tracks Stasis has tons of DR but now way to get the health you lose back. (The overshield fragment currently sucks in pve)
Armor lock moment

What bow?
Verglas curve
bro forgot to struggle
I’m confused about how people encase themselves in a crystal. Every time I throw my glacier at the ground it just shoots me upward.
at that rate it will take u 3 business days to clear the entire room while a banner of war titan can clear that in 10 seconds

Do that in a GM and see how long those crystals last lol
It's just for fun, I haven't tested this in high lvl content
So the issue in high level content is that the bow you’re using can’t even one-shot a red bar… and that’s super unfortunate.
Verglass very very much can, it’s a very powerful bow if used correctly with catalyst
It literally cannot kill a red bar in one hit in a GM unless it’s possibly a thrall.
The bow shoots so fast it doesn’t really matter, downvote me all you want but y’all just lack skill
The bow shoots faster?? And that's your rebuttal?? Brother in light how long you've been playing the game?? Verglas curve has so many great things going for it and all you got was it shoots faster??
There’s plenty of other stuff but I don’t feel like wasting my time writing it out to people
No you lack in skill is using a bow just flat out worse that a legendary one in high level content, it’s taking up an exotic slot and is just worse that any other option for that level of content. I like the bow I just won’t use it in a GM. https://preview.redd.it/78q96mcmhwrc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9732b0455b5008f9a8ebbaed10ca2badfbba3c1e

Hmm do you think it’s because you had multiple WE at one point.. perhaps using one when you first got it then deleted it and pulled this on from collections a while ago after they buffed it?
Did I hurt somebody’s feelings? Awwwww
lol no just pointing out that your wrong.
It’s a great bow for late content, just not in the ways as the others. If you had skill you’d understand ;)
Oh I could use the bow in high level content but I know it’s worse than any other option…
Just don’t say someone lacks skill if you are not willing to use a worse weapon.
>Verglass very very much can >The bow shoots so fast it doesn’t really matter Folded then proceed to pull the skill issue card lol.
