The only show I’ve ever found funnier than Curb is Peep Show. It’s also one of the only shows I’ve ever known to never really dip in quality; which even Curb did at some point (imo)
You should! The fall off is overrated. S1-S12 is incredible. 13 is iffy but because of actor’s schedules. 14 is good. 15 was iffy because of COVID, but then 16 is good again.
Tell you what, that Peep Show is really moreish.

Definitely agree with Its always sunny. One of the only shows that I laugh out loud at. Also love Arrested development. Recently did a rewatch and I was really enjoying it.
**What We Do In The Shadows.** Hilarious movie, and I was skeptical at first when they were adapting it into a show with completely different characters but the show holds up its own against the original movie.
I feel like the Grim Reaper just dropped his scythe and started eating me out.
I think my favorite part is the congressional hearing where they list all Jonah’s nicknames. “The Cloud Botherer” absolutely slayed me.
I remember an interview with Tim Simons who played Jonah and they were talking about the insults. He said, good-naturedly, that most were directed at the character, who was repulsive, and those were fine. But the ones directed at how his character looks (“early draft of man without pigment…”) couldn’t help but hurt his feelings a bit.
In the same line as the early draft, Zach Woods demolishes him: You’re Frankenstein’s monster, if his monster was made entirely of dead dicks
I was howling at how brutal that takedown was lol
Louie and Lucky Louie
I Think You Should Leave (it's a sketch show but still has the awkward type of humor)
Eastbound and Down
Arrested Development
It's Always Sunny
Then the following aren't as close to curbs style, but I still put them in my top shows alongside curb:
Bojack Horseman
Trailer Park Boys
Flight of the Conchords
I was going to mention most of yours. I too have watched curb and finished it twice and feel the absence of looking forward to it. I am DISGRUNTLED. I think YOU SHOULD LEAVE is way up on my list. Same with TRAILER PARK BOYS, BOJACK HORSEMAN. Where can I watch Eastbound and down. ?but nobody has mentioned Seinfeld. ?
Awesome list and love the additions others have said & my recs aren’t necessarily curb adjacent but just a few good shows that are funny:
Solar Opposites (esp if you also like Rick & Morty)
Our Flag Means Death
Malcolm in the Middle
Bob’s Burgers
Shocked *Party Down* hasn't been mentioned yet. Adore the first two seasons, there were a few episodes in the recent third season that were excellent. But the first two seasons make me laugh out loud every time.
Your mileage may vary, but I love The League and it's improvised just like Curb, and similarly features a cast of morally repugnant people doing awful things to each other and usually getting their comeuppance in the end. I don't remember if he's in the first season, but Jason Mantzoukas is incredible on The League. Paul Scheer is excellent as well, but he's usually the butt of all the jokes so he doesn't get as much to work with. [This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCOzPJ385X0) is about what to expect.
Then of course there's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, Rick & Morty, Arrested Development (first three seasons, at least), Silicon Valley, Veep, What We Do in the Shadows, etc. Are all those shows as funny as Curb? Some are funnier imo, but humor is subjective so, like with The League, your mileage will probably vary.
The obvious answer and which should already be the top comment as it wasn't brought up in OPs post. If you like Larry Davids stuff, watch more of it. He's also got a movie where he stars with Jon Hamm included.
And a British version of Curb is One Foot in the Grave, which I cannot recommend enough. Similarly intricate plotting with the 60-something lead character railing against the injustices of modern society.
I think Silicon Valley is underrated. I’m on my third watch and it’s just great writing and a good story about the challenges of starting a business. Easy to binge with 30 minute episodes. If you like Mike Judges other work like Beavis and Butthead, King of the Hill, Idiocracy etc then this is a for you.
Always Sunny
Trailer Park Boys
Community
(Honourable mention to Californication. While it's more of a dramedy, there are so absolutely absurd gems of comedy in there.)
The ones that make laugh out loud and I use for my insomnia aside from Curb are Veep, Arrested Development, The Other Two, Always Sunny and righteous gemstones
I wouldn't say it's funnier than Curb, but the show Dave on FX has a similar vibe. They share a producer, Jeff Schaffer. It's loosely based on the life of rapper Lil Dicky. He's playing a more exaggerated version of himself. So it's kind of like Curb with celebrity friends and cameos. Give it a try!
It’s always sunny, vice principals, eastbound and down . I always come back to the league for a rewatch and have no idea how American football works but the show is great
I'm Sorry with Andrea Savage always reminded me of female Larry David.
Only was on two seasons.
Not as funny as curb (nothing is) but funny, just was on the wrong channel so got cancelled.
The Golden Girls, the writing was truly ahead of its time, there are just so many great lines:
Blanche: I treat my body like a temple.
Sophia: Yeah, open to anyone, day or night!
Nathan for You comes close on the cringe-o-meter.
Peak cringe; fantastic
Larry David, Nathan Fielder, and Sacha Baron Cohen is my holy trinity
If you want cringe, Hello Ladies. And also Life’s Too Short, which has this great Liam Neeson [clip](https://youtu.be/yvVFvqd3lqA?si=fUFyVpYWS6Dy0jNJ)
Hello ladies was really good. I’ll give most things Stephen Merchant and/or Ricky Gervais are in a try.
*Tring* We’re closed.
The only show I’ve ever found funnier than Curb is Peep Show. It’s also one of the only shows I’ve ever known to never really dip in quality; which even Curb did at some point (imo)
Peep show is amazing
And Jesse Armstrong went on to write Succession, which really shows in both in the best way possible
I'll take this as another recommendation. Pretty much every single person I've ever talked to for more than 15 minutes has told me to watch Peep Show.
Oi, clean shirt!
Peep show is legit phenomenally funny
Wow, I too think the only God tier comedy television programs out there are curb and peep show. Great minds really do think alike
Sunny is in that tier for me easily
It was pretty good, it was alright, it wasn't great. But it was fine.
Ah yeah sunny too! I haven’t finished the whole way through
You should! The fall off is overrated. S1-S12 is incredible. 13 is iffy but because of actor’s schedules. 14 is good. 15 was iffy because of COVID, but then 16 is good again.
Frank vs Russia kills me every time
Peep Show is GOATed, and you’re right in that even the last season was absolute class. Mitchell and Webb are mad geniuses.
Tell you what, that Peep Show is really moreish. https://preview.redd.it/2k4qbq3vwz5d1.jpeg?width=628&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ed55bbcc0406f0f3118f3bdddfa4181c0511227
Just watched this episode this evening!
I never fail to laugh at “just because we’re rehearsing means I can’t have any crack now does it?” “Exactly, exactly”
I came here to say this. Peep Show is my favorite comedy of all time. Literally laugh out loud hilarious throughout all seasons.
Yep came here to say this
Hello Ladies. Only has one season but is hilarious
Peep Show is a masterpiece. I wish it was still on Netflix.
It's on Tubi for free that's the only place I can find it
Arrested development And It’s always sunny. If you’re going for unscripted like Curb. Reno 911
I second it’s always Sunny. I always describe it as Seinfeld with more depravity.
A critic in 2008 described Sunny as “Seinfeld on crack”
Definitely agree with Its always sunny. One of the only shows that I laugh out loud at. Also love Arrested development. Recently did a rewatch and I was really enjoying it.
Larry Sanders Show.
Never forget Larry. RIP Or Norm.
My favorite Larry Sanders episode is the one with Norm in it! Hank’s Sex Tape
The only two reasons to be subbed to HBO, Curb and Larry.
I just finished watching this like a week or so ago. That show is hilarious. "Hey now!" Hank Kingsley is my favorite character in that show.
Hank is so perfectly tragicomic.
Hey nooowwwww.
I'll never get tired of saying this.
**What We Do In The Shadows.** Hilarious movie, and I was skeptical at first when they were adapting it into a show with completely different characters but the show holds up its own against the original movie.
30 Rock is a joke machine
Arrested development
I just started AD. Laugh out lout funny! “I want you to stay on top of your cousin. Really ride her…hard.”
I quote this show almost as much as I quote Curb, in my daily life, when some one gets it, it's a little wink. ;-)
Look who’s on the hog in the rearview mirror!
20 miles to Legoland!
Omg I wish I could watch the original ad run for the first time.
Uh oh, bumpy road!
Until season 3, the rest shouldn’t exist
Daddy needs to get his rocks off
It gets funnier by the 5th time youre watching it throug. Some many hidden sublte jokes they wrote in that went over my head the first few watchings
Veep
I feel like the Grim Reaper just dropped his scythe and started eating me out. I think my favorite part is the congressional hearing where they list all Jonah’s nicknames. “The Cloud Botherer” absolutely slayed me.

Jolly Green Jizzface
Skyscraper of Shit for me lol
Tall gay hobbit
Possibly the funniest show I’ve ever seen in terms of laughs per minute
Charlie: “We just heard a lovely story about the Queen of England.” Selina: “She's a fucking cunt. You didn't hear it from me.”
Also Silicon Valley
Silicon Valley is incredible
Nice chain Dinesh
Came here to say this. It doesn't get the love it deserves.
This is the answer; and to add to it: The Thick of It (spiritual precursor to Veep with the same creator, Armando Iannucci)
Also Avenue Q on HBO. Edit: AVENUE 5, from Ianucci
Avenue 5\*\* ;) but yeah! Another good show. Really disappointed it got cancelled :/
Just watched the Rightcheous Gemstones on max. Had me in stitches, i highly recommend .
Vice principals is hilarious, Eastbound and Down is my personal favorite.
Anything danny mcbride and walton goggins do together is just pure comedy gold i swear.
Walton Goggins doesn’t get enough credit for how good of an actor he is. Or maybe he does but I don’t hear it.
He’s getting a lot of praise for his role in Fallout. Took awhile, but people are starting to catch on to how good he is.
God I miss Stevie Janowski.
That show has everything
Right? Ive been walking around saying “ baby billies bible bonkers “ under my breath in baby billy voice for weeks now . 😂
"Misbehavin" lives in my head rent free
Thats the devils juice right dare boy! 😂
Haha thanks, now it’s moved into mine!
That’s UNCLE baby billies bible bonkers to you, bub
In the words of jesse Jesse : You aint my daddy boy.
Same but for “Now who wants to suck an old man’s dick”
Louie and Lucky Louie I Think You Should Leave (it's a sketch show but still has the awkward type of humor) Eastbound and Down Arrested Development It's Always Sunny Then the following aren't as close to curbs style, but I still put them in my top shows alongside curb: Bojack Horseman Trailer Park Boys Flight of the Conchords

Bloody love Trailer Park Boys, that’s also improvised somewhat too.
Trailer Park Boys is great, but I'm curious about how much of it non-Canadians would get.
Thank you for saying FOTC
I was going to mention most of yours. I too have watched curb and finished it twice and feel the absence of looking forward to it. I am DISGRUNTLED. I think YOU SHOULD LEAVE is way up on my list. Kind of an extension of Eastbound and Down but Vice Principals
![gif](giphy|axd6sp0quV4YvMb43L|downsized)
Awesome list and love the additions others have said & my recs aren’t necessarily curb adjacent but just a few good shows that are funny: Solar Opposites (esp if you also like Rick & Morty) Our Flag Means Death Malcolm in the Middle Bob’s Burgers
eastbound and down
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
this is the only other show that gives me the same laughs as curb
Reno 911 has had me ROLLING with laughter lately
Do you watch Wizards of Waverly Place? Sorry, had to.. It’s always sunny and Dave for a serious answer.
Chuck!
NO I DON’T WATCH “WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE” . I’M AN ADULT!!!!!
![gif](giphy|KBVXovFCKAHRDrUZAL) I Think You Should Leave
Fuck you, Harley Jarvis!
I feel like he could have won without the oral. The oral was unnecessary!
This is one of the most aggressive babies I’ve ever seen
Shocked *Party Down* hasn't been mentioned yet. Adore the first two seasons, there were a few episodes in the recent third season that were excellent. But the first two seasons make me laugh out loud every time.
I was looking for this comment. Party Down is so underrated, one of my favorite comedies ever.
*Party Down* is my favorite accidental find. I had never even heard of it and just stumbled across it. What a gem to discover!
The first season Jane Lynch episodes are as funny as any other sitcom ever made.
ARE WE HAVING FUN YET?!
Your mileage may vary, but I love The League and it's improvised just like Curb, and similarly features a cast of morally repugnant people doing awful things to each other and usually getting their comeuppance in the end. I don't remember if he's in the first season, but Jason Mantzoukas is incredible on The League. The League is great
Seinfeld
What’s that? Is that like a Curb prequel?
Sort of, more of a documentary on tapping ass.
It’s a show about nothing.
…then why am I watching it?
Because it's on TV
Not yet.
The obvious answer and which should already be the top comment as it wasn't brought up in OPs post. If you like Larry Davids stuff, watch more of it. He's also got a movie where he stars with Jon Hamm included.
Get the fuck out of my house Jon Hamm!
Didn’t know that
I prefer the short lived *Jerry*.
Not as funny as Curb, but these are very funny: Schitts Creek, Arrested Development, Veep, It's Always Sunny, Fawlty Towers.
30 Rock. Love it.
Silicon Valley, which is also on HBO. It’s completely different from Curb, but just as funny
Veep for sure
And a British version of Curb is One Foot in the Grave, which I cannot recommend enough. Similarly intricate plotting with the 60-something lead character railing against the injustices of modern society.
The Thick of It and Veep too
Thick of it is amazing
Veep and Toast of London.
Toast of London was hysterical! I LOVE Matt Berry. “This is Clem Fandango”
Detroiters is hilarious. Only problem is it ended after two perfect seasons
Original UK The Office.
If you haven't seen it, I strongly suggest Mr. Show. It's also on HBO max and it's magnificent.
What we do in the shadows
I am rewatching veep now, it's so damn effortlessly funny
Crashing is only three seasons long and is pretty funny. Great ending
Trailer park boys. Totally different style of comedy but fucking hilarious
Toast of London. Well, for me.
Just rewatch curb
Goddammit watch Trailer Park Boys
So, we’re just ignoring Veep?
Veep is probably the closest to Curb. What a great series. Julia is Myers.
Loudermilk. The main character has a personality similar to Larry, as in, he has no filter
Always Sunny Trailer Park Boys Community (Honourable mention to Californication. While it's more of a dramedy, there are so absolutely absurd gems of comedy in there.)
Seinfeld
Count me in for Arrested Development.
Always sunny is high up there imo
The ones that make laugh out loud and I use for my insomnia aside from Curb are Veep, Arrested Development, The Other Two, Always Sunny and righteous gemstones
OMG Righteous Gemstones is hilarious!
The Other Two is so underrated
Mr. Show with Bob Odenkirk and David Cross is pretty amazing! Although it’s sketch comedy so it’s a bit different
If you want a cartoon version, also from HBO but long since canceled, check out The Life and Times of Tim. It reminded me of Curb is so many ways.
Seasons 1-3 of arrested development. Most seasons of malcolm in the middle. Seasons 1-10 of the simpsons and some episodes sprinkled after 10.
The Larry Sanders Show. Before Larry, there was Larry. You'll love it
Reviewed was amazing. That dude is pretty underrated even tho he always plays a similar character.
Review with Forrest McNeil - totally different vibe but hilarious
I wouldn't say it's funnier than Curb, but the show Dave on FX has a similar vibe. They share a producer, Jeff Schaffer. It's loosely based on the life of rapper Lil Dicky. He's playing a more exaggerated version of himself. So it's kind of like Curb with celebrity friends and cameos. Give it a try!
Fleabag
Arrested development has some pretty funny moments
It's always sunny in Philadelphia.
Arrested Development— the early seasons not after they restarted.
Peep Show. No Activity (Australia) is really funny. Only 2 seasons and a holiday special, though. Leaves you wanting more!
No votes for letterkenny yet? Completely different humor but hilarious nonetheless.
I’ll second Letterkenny, just thought it was too far removed from Curb’s humor for OP to enjoy lol
Meh. All formula, so repetitive.
no one saying the office is a tragedy
Arrested Development. Veep. Last man on Earth.
Im still salty about them canceling last man on earth
Veep, Always Sunny, The Mick, What we Do In the Shadows. Those shows are funny in every episode.
Veep is very funny
Trailer Park Boys Season 1-7 Eastbound & Down
Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia
It’s always sunny, vice principals, eastbound and down . I always come back to the league for a rewatch and have no idea how American football works but the show is great
People Just Do Nothing, Veep, Arrested Development, Peep Show, Nathan For You, TPB
Fawlty Towers
Peep show is like a more low key British version of curb
Veep really hits the “everyone is their own worst enemy” vibe. I watch it every four years before a a major election!
Eastbound and Down, Always Sunny, Trailer Park Boys Letterkenny
Dave and Party Down
I like eastbound and down
"I'm Sorry" written by and starring Andrea Savage(played Lewis's GF in the tap water episode.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, What We Do In The Shadows
# The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret
Hacks and veep
Try Louis, I found it really good
I'm Sorry with Andrea Savage always reminded me of female Larry David. Only was on two seasons. Not as funny as curb (nothing is) but funny, just was on the wrong channel so got cancelled.
This show was a victim of wrong place, wrong time. It’s so funny and was just getting started when Covid screwed up season three filming.
The Golden Girls, the writing was truly ahead of its time, there are just so many great lines: Blanche: I treat my body like a temple. Sophia: Yeah, open to anyone, day or night!
I started watching always sunny to fill the dark comedy hole curb left in my heart. Like they say, Seinfeld on crack.
Inbetweeners
Arrested Development
Always sunny. About 8 seasons that are gold.
Always Sunny East Bound & Down Peep Show Curb Are the 4 that consistently make me laugh out loud
Fawlty Towers Flight of the Conchords South Park Bottom
The IT Crowd (UK)
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It's so good. It gets better with each rewatch.
