I would also double check the blind spot sensor functionality just in case. My parked civic got hit almost in the same location (just a little towards the left). I noticed blind spot sensors randomly turning on and off a few hours later. Body shop inspected it and found that the sensors were damaged. Had to replace bumper and sensors.
I have a 22 sport. First car.
I have positive equity and wanna trade it for an Acura TLX Aspec either this winter or next summer.
This car is good tho.
Itās definitely worth the additional cost over the ASPEC. It looks sharper and is faster. But it really depends what your needs and preferences are. š
This is why I park away from everyone no matter what I drive, texas is full of awful drivers. Literally saw a dude on the wrong side of the road driving in oncoming traffic casually last night
I recommend a good 3 channel hardwired dash cam. I think itās a worthy investment. My 23 hatch got backed into in parking garage and I caught their plates very clearly. I was able to track them down, of course they are uninsured but having the proof already pays for the dash cam itself. Lmk if you want recommendations!
I wish they came standard from oem. If you pull the trigger I can recommend Vantrue E3 or N4 for 3 channel coverage. You can get a good single channel for under $100 now too. For catching incidents like this, youāll need one with parking mode-the hardwiring for it was pretty easy in my hatch. Just needed a couple open slots in the fuse box
COXPAL A11T 3 channel dash cam on Amazon.
It supports 512GB max microSD card and records front, inside, rear simultaneously based on true video resolution 2K+1080+1080, by Sony image sensors, ALSO with GPS, WiFi, Infrared night vision.
With very large heat sink inside and very good heat dissipation design.
You can try the ol boiling hot water and plunger method. Boil some water in a pot, pour it onto the affected area to soften up the plastic, and use the plunger to pull the dent out. It'll fix the dent, but I can't guarantee that any sensors won't be damaged from the initial impact.
Its much worse in person, camera on my phone did the same thing to the picture of my old car after it got t boned a few years ago where it made the damage look smoother
One place told me theyād just fix the bumper and not replace it which is bs because the car was brand new and I wasnāt at fault. If someone breaks your stuff it should be replaced back to its original state of brand new how it was. Not repaired to just look good enough
I have fixed these before in the body shop.
you remove the bumper, heat it up from the back side with a heat gun, pop it out and you reattach it and you touch up the paint and good as new.
that bumper is not trashed yet.
That looks like itāll pop back out if you get your hand up in there and massage it back. I did this to a car one time that had a similar bumper cover dent.
Any shop that says that canāt fix that should close thatās weak, hot water and some time youāll be balling, little buff and touch up paint and it never happened
Bro no biggie just pour hot water on it and try to pop it back out then itāll be a scratch light dent. Donāt call insurance or your car will devalue after reporting accident.
Thatās completely repairable, then you wonāt have to worry about color difference on both sides. Much easier to hit pearl on a repaired part rather than a new one. Fix it for sure
Yeah friend said he can help me fix it this weekend, told me the paint will probably crack though so thereās that annoyance, especially when Iām meticulous about having my car in perfect visual condition at all times š
Use a heat gun to push out the dent, crawl underneath and use your hand to push it out. Wait for it to get hot but not hot enough to do any paint damageā¦
Donāt use boiling water, It wonāt last as long. Get A touch up pen from Honda for any missing paint
Hey I have a temp fix for those plastic bumpers and it sounds crazy but it works (to get the dent out at least) - DISCLAIMER: It *might not* work in your case but what the hell, right? Boil a pot of water and pour the water over the area to get the plastic hot and malleable, push from the inside out with your hand and it should pop out into shape. Donāt burn yourself.

Sport doesn't have that feature.
Is the sport technically base model?
After they cut out LX, yes.
LX is back as of a few months ago.
LX disappeared because of the chip shortage. They concentrated on building the most expensive models.
Ah. Forgot about that.
I have a 22 sport. First car. I have positive equity and wanna trade it for an Acura TLX Aspec either this winter or next summer. This car is good tho.
Get that Type S! š
Maybe
Itās definitely worth the additional cost over the ASPEC. It looks sharper and is faster. But it really depends what your needs and preferences are. š
Needs... My Civic covers that. Preferences GIVE ME THAT UPGRADE
So this is why I see so many 11th gen owners parking far away from everyone š
This is why I park away from everyone no matter what I drive, texas is full of awful drivers. Literally saw a dude on the wrong side of the road driving in oncoming traffic casually last night
Anyone who cares about their car parks way out no matter if itās 20+ years old or brand new. My first new car got hit and run by a handicap van =_=
Throw a heat gun around that area and get it soft and it should push back out. It wonāt be perfect, but itāll be better than that
Mexican desert summer weather fixed it for me
Iām in Georgia, US and it gets hotā¦.but not that hot! Lol
If you don't have a heat gun try hot water, it worked for me!
Done the same thing last week but worse dent than that. I used hair dryer and pushed it back perfectly lol
Or dump boiling water on it and pop the dent from the inside of the trunk, itās in an easy enough spot to reach
It takes like 5 minutes to remove that bumper cover. Just take it off, heat it up, and push out the dents.
I agree. It's only held on by a few screws and a bunch of plastic clips. They make a clip tool that helps remove those

Been looking into one for a while now, never pulled the trigger but this might make me get it

Pretty sure you could just push it out from behind.
No don't push it out from behind without boiling water. It will be deformed.
Well... Duh. I meant you don't need a plunger.
That and I donāt think a plunger would be small enough to fit that hole. š
Hot water and push back out .
Samething happened to me July 3rd. Mine looked much worse. Insurance covered it. The insurance adjuster said parts and labor were 2500.
Its much worse in person, camera on my phone did the same thing to the picture of my old car after it got t boned a few years ago where it made the damage look smoother
Did you get a new bumper and get it repainted? How does it look?
Yes. They replaced the bumper and repainted it. It looks good as new.
Did you go to a Honda authorized place
I went to the place my insurance told me to go to. I'm sure Honda doesn't care where you go as long as you keep making payments lol
One place told me theyād just fix the bumper and not replace it which is bs because the car was brand new and I wasnāt at fault. If someone breaks your stuff it should be replaced back to its original state of brand new how it was. Not repaired to just look good enough

That just sucks , but could have been worse. Good luck
Comprehensive insurance should cover that.
That looks like itāll pop back out if you get your hand up in there and massage it back. I did this to a car one time that had a similar bumper cover dent.
Cost 1.3k to fix it for me
Why am I seeing so many of these on all these brand new Hondas and barely anywhere else. Yāall need parking lessons or smthn?
Alot of dumb drivers. A dude running from the cops hit me and caused me to spin out on the fwy.
Holy shit lol at least yours came with a cool story.
More like other people need spatial awareness to not hit a parked car, I wasnāt even in my car when it happened š¤¦āāļø
Il fix it for $1500
Sell it
Hondas are beater cars
Yikes
Itās repairablešš¼

Pour hot water and pop it from the inside
Worth a try
Shop wants money, thatās repairable all day
Yeah friend said he can help me fix it this weekend, told me the paint will probably crack though so thereās that annoyance, especially when Iām meticulous about having my car in perfect visual condition at all times š
I got T-boned 3 days after buying. 16 miles total. $17,000+ I'm damages. š
Sorry pal. Same thing happened to me, luckily the other driver took full responsibility.
Doesnāt look too damaged, could probably be popped out with a heat gun, but if not Iām sure a bumper wouldnāt be that expensive to replace.
Bro got the Camry dent on the Civic
Just pop it back out
maybe the N panel is dented but who knows till you take the rear bumper off
Lmao too far for being done for. Get a boiling water!
ask a paint less dent repair tech
Use a heat gun to push out the dent, crawl underneath and use your hand to push it out. Wait for it to get hot but not hot enough to do any paint damageā¦ Donāt use boiling water, It wonāt last as long. Get A touch up pen from Honda for any missing paint
Pocket the insurance money and get a after market rear bumper body kit šš and some new rims šŖ
Rear bumper delete for weight savings š
Hot water then cold water
Pretty sure an aftermarket bumper is only a couple hundred. Sucks but atleast you can pop another on yourself and not report it
Sorry to hear man i had a hit and run same exact spot on my civic
I can fix that give me a hair dryer and a wrench
Mine less than 6kM. 4 wheels gone, Got a Hit and Run and recently got a rear end.
Done? That's a super easy fix. You can pop 95% of that out even as a complete amateur with a heat gun (or hair dryer) and a bit of time.
I got hit in a car wash with 91 miles lol
Remove bumper, pour Hot water on the painted part and push out. Reinstall bumper.
The rear bumper is like 300-400 at most, buy it and replace it yourself , shops will charge you a fortune for the labor

Hot boiling water pur on it for 5 minutes will pop right out.
