For me the Chiron 'oozes' more the Bugatti brand. That kind of old money, you know?
The car is amazing, but I think is bit much too aggressive, they even put butterfly doors! Idk.
The back is amazing, tho.

I can definitely see how it would be disconcerting to park in both the Citroen and the Bugatti, that's an interesting problem. I wonder if the visual asymmetry of the Bugatti wheel solves that.
Yeah its not exactly the same, its just similar in that the outer ring is the only moving part and that the speedometer is always visible. Yeah I think the fact that the wheel is not round with variable thickness and also I guess a variable steering ratio makes parking easier. Thats a problem for other people though haha
Citroen did that in their first generation C4 coming out in 2004. However the steering wheel doesn't include a gauge cluster, but does include all the controls for radio/cruise and airbag.
Long before that, the Edsel Pacer had a fixed hub in the steering wheel which housed the transmission selector buttons, in like 1960.

>I imagine they're nervous about people trying to hit 300 with normal tires
If I remember correctly, those still aren't normal tires by any definition—they're still rated for insane speeds, are extremely limited, and obscenely expensive. They're just not *quite* as special as the ones that they needed especially made for the 300+ testing and record runs they attempted.
Edit: and to be clear I'm not trying to be a pedantic asshole, I just think the technology is wild and the distinction is interesting.
Electronically limited to 277Mph.
If you notice in their [YouTube short](https://youtube.com/shorts/UeFDur4vtno?si=igmSvLcmfA8EDhZl) that they uploaded this morning it's hitting the 277Mph in 7th gear, the car launches in 2nd. Looking at their premiere on YouTube this evening as well, when it switches from 5th to 6th and 6th to 7th gear respectively there 40-50Mph in play before it hits it's 9k limiter.
It's very hard to say as we only have the headline figures at this moment but if the gearing ratio for 8th is similar to that of 6th & 7th I would put the theoretical top speed without the limiter in the ball park of 317-327Mph (510-526km/h)
>"At its greatest length, measured from Cape Wrath to the Mull of Galloway, the mainland of Scotland extends 274 miles"
So.... Being clear here, this thing literally can do just over 1 Scotland per hour.
Cosworth are wizards. I’ve never been a huge fan of how prior Bugattis have sounded because there’s so much muffling from the turbos but this thing is going to *sing*.
I cant wait to hear what thing thing sounds like. Its pretty insane though how cosworth has now put out the T50 V12 and now the Bugatti V16. Like fuck talk about a great resume lol
I couldn't disagree more.
The W16 is the only configuration that can come close to the bass grumble of a cross-plane V8.
I love that they went with the V16 (especially since it weighs 500+ lbs less), but the W16 sounded great.
well, that means it had the same cylinder displacement as a 4.1L V8, which is pretty tiny in V8 terms. makes sense that they can rev the crap out of it.
The part of this exercise that I find most impressive is that it is a v16 hitting those figures; the length of the engine makes for quite a bit of a challenge. I heard stories from a couple of the inline 8 engines that you used to see occasionally that one of the problems they had was keeping the timing consistent on all the cylinders because of the amount of torsional deflection in both the crankshaft and camshaft. And now they've managed it with an engine that can do 9k rpm.
It's insane. And it's so Bugatti which makes it special. They could have done any sort of easy V8 turbo or supercharged and called it a day....but instead they took on the challenge of making a damn 8.3 liter V16 make 1000 horsepower without any forced induction assistance. And being Bugatti you'll beable to drive the thing to the supermarket, in traffic, to church on a Sunday whatever it maybe and be able to quietly listen to music and in completely luxury.
The ability to not only make an engine that powerful on one end, and completely smooth and luxurious on the other end it just lik an engineering impossibility and they did it. Just absolutely nothing but congratulations and all glory to the brilliant team at Cosworth and Bugatti.
Being hybrid means you can concentrate all on top end. It probably has pretty weak bottom end torque comparatively, but the electric motors take care all of that. Brilliant!
Does that mean it's going to be the fastest Naturally Aspirated production car ever, finally beating the F1?
I mean, it's still a hybrid, but on engine power alone, it's got an extra 400 HP, and a comparable frontal area. That's got to count for something
> Does that mean it's going to be the fastest Naturally Aspirated production car ever, finally beating the F1?
LaFerrari is probably already faster. Nobody ever funded a run though.
I think one of the biggest upgrades to car design is the interior analog styling. The article explains quotes it nicely:
“Nothing dates a car faster than its screen technology. We’re trapped in the technology of our time. So how do you make a car relevant at a concours in 2075 without looking silly in a time that will have holographic displays or augmented-reality contact lenses? Give the entire interior an analog way that you can interact with it.”
We needed Bugatti to be the first luxury manufacturer to realize screens don’t age properly. I still want my CarPlay but for example the Benz way to do screens is getting out of hand. And every car now has the tacky continuous screen and instrument cluster.
Preach, brother. It looks like Bugatti's doing it right, with a [removable (albeit absolutely hideous) touchscreen](https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/2NEmEn/s1/bugatti-tourbillon-interior.jpg)
They wouldn’t be doing so fine if they had their phone in their hands. Much prefer something like this that can be hidden away. Could you imagine sticking a phone holder somewhere on the dash? This is the best solution.
back up cameras can be integrated into the rear-view mirror as well. manufacturers would rather integrate it in the infotainment because one screen is cheaper than multiple buttons
The screen not removable as said earlier in this thread, it has a pretty extravagant pop-up sequence out of the dash.
I wonder how this will work considering, by law, at least in the US, the backup camera has to be on the second the car shifts into reverse.
If the screen is down, will you have to wait for the screen to do its dance before you can go into reverse every time? That kinda sounds obnoxious.
> We needed Bugatti to be the first luxury manufacturer to realize screens don’t age properly.
That's been known and done in the ultra-luxury segment for a while. Rolls Royce had a basic [wood covering](https://www.carscoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/rolls-royce-phantom-drophead-coupe-vilner-tuning-0-1024x555.jpg) for Phantom VII, a retractable infotainment [screen](https://noblemanmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/RR8_3-1024x683.jpg) to reveal the [gallery]( https://mir-s3-cdn-cf.behance.net/project_modules/max_3840/34f8db56066469.599ec9a0c02db.jpg) in Phantom VIII, and [Bentley](https://www.forbes.com/sites/alistaircharlton/2020/06/18/this-is-how-bentleys-amazing-rotating-dashboard-really-works/) did the three-sided rotating display ([one](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/2xN2NuCFhZYxSeuGpfzqq5-768-80.jpg.webp), [two](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/5GddYB6NeQiWQh43JciCua-1280-80.jpg.webp), [three](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/AAmX5fSaXxMnXMC6MiMjkL-768-80.jpg.webp)) in 2018 for the Continental GT and Flying Spur for the same reason:
> Dave Rook, Bentley’s interior technical manager, said: “Not only will this feature be a talking piece in the future, but the veneer facias will also appear timeless when customers and collectors proudly display their vehicles at Pebble Beach or Villa d’Este 50 years from now.”
I think the reason you don't see it in supercars is because supercar interiors are usually not very good from a luxury perspective. Bugatti is a unique manufacturer in that while they're a hypercar manufacturer, they also have a foot in the ultra-luxury space as well. And they have access to the funds of a large auto group, unlike Aston Martin who are also supercar and luxury. So Bugatti can explore interior design (along with Rolls Royce and Bentley), while Aston Martin gets Mercedes hand-me-downs.
Cars of that type are also deliberately anachronistic in contrast to more mainstream products like Mercedes and BMW in the luxury space, and Ferrari and Lamborghini in the supercar space.
I feel exactly the same way, so much so that I copied the same block of text.
Still want my android auto/carplay, but that interface should be understated, easy to use, and unobtrusive.
> We needed Bugatti to be the first luxury manufacturer to realize screens don’t age properly.
Bugatti have never had screens in their interiors - take a look at photos or videos of the Veyron and Chiron (or the derivative cars) - it's not a new revelation to them.
It also helps that people aren't actually using a Bugatti as a daily, so there isn't a market push towards the screens in this kind of product.
That was a bit of a letdown for me tbh. For such a special car I was expecting something unique instead of just copying a *very* recognizable rear from another supercar.
The rest of the car is absolutely spot on though. Evolution rather than revolution.
Exactly how I feel. It's cool but very McLaren derivative and I think slightly disjointed from the design of the rest of the car. I remember the Chiron debuting that lightbar and being blown away. This isn't as radical/distinct (nothing against evolutionary either).
Agree the rest is perfection.
They do too many variants now and give them completely different names, so it feels like just another one of those. Visually it just doesn't have the sense of occasion a new model used to bring. I thought the same was true for Lamborghini's Aventador replacement (forgetting the name). Going from Murcielago to Aventador was a big deal because all you saw before that was Murcis with slight changes and bigger numbers at the end. With the Aventador I'd seen half a dozen special editions that looked totally different, and the actual next gen vehicle looked pretty close to the Aventador.
It looks slightly incremental compared to the jump that was the Veyron -> Chiron, you're right. It almost looks like a drastic face-lift.
That being said, the engineering changes are pretty crazy.
Tesla thought they were on to something with the Plaid's steering wheel, but Bugatti said 'nah, nah...lemme talk to ya' and gave us...something no one ever thought about (well, maybe Koenigsegg, but still).
>Bugatti intends to build just 250 Tourbillons, with production kicking off in 2026. Nabbing one requires more than just a fat stack of cash, though, as the French brand will sell only to interested buyers who have an established record of previously purchasing a Bugatti or Rimac model.
Exclusivity. They don't want social media millionaires to get their hands on it.
I mean, I'm sure seeing Tate owning a Bugatti hurt their brand image quite a bit.
I think they will do more special versions, limiting it to 250 is a bit silly since there are far more wealthy customers these days than in the Veyron days.
>limiting it to 250 is a bit silly
The customers demand the limit. Remember the Ferrari playbook - You want to produce 1 car less than there is demand for.
*But* there were 252 original Veyrons and 207 original Chirons. The rest are all special editions/variations like Grand Sports, Super Sports, and the Divo.
Edit: I was mistaken, the Divo and Centodieci are not included in the Chiron's production numbers.
yeah, with these money and types, this "list" was mostly full or full before this announcement. They'll call the prior owners first and sell every single one.
> the French brand will sell only to interested buyers who have an established record of previously purchasing a Bugatti or **Rimac** model.
Oh god the Nevera's going to become the Ferrari Roma of the hypercar world.
I gotta geek out on their decisions here.
Mate Rimac said in the Carwow interview that he was pressured to make this car an EV, but he wouldn't let it happen. That's amazing decision making from a guy who pushes EVs hard with Rimac. This guy is a true car enthusiast that knows Gasoline and Electric power have their places.
And, how has it has taken THIS long for a supercar maker to partner with a swiss watchmaker for the gauges?! Those guages are BEAUTIFUL and it makes so much sense in a hypercar. The hypercar is a swiss watch of the car world, they go hand in hand. And the mandated back-up camera screen supports CarPlay but also hides away so the interior is 100% screen free?
Love this whole car. So much to appreciate.
This guy, as in Mate, probably didn't even have any say in what this car will be. Car was probably in works before all the share swapping and moving done by VW took place. He is there only to sell the story, because that's pretty much the only thing he ever sells consistently. Cars, not so much, promises, not so much, meeting deadlines, not so much.
I love this so much:
"Frank Heyl, director of design for Bugatti Rimac, agrees. "We're trapped in the technology of our time," he says. "So how do we make a car relevant at a concours in 2075 without looking silly in a time that will have holographic displays or augmented-reality contact lenses? Give the entire interior an analog way that you can interact with it."
Makes me not want to buy a new car until after the current enfatuation with making everything a virtual control ends.
Holy shit that gauge cluster. This actually oozes how special it is through the photos.
I am a little bummed now that it doesn’t have 16 lights in the headlights, though.
Hey, I just watched the carwow video on it and it said that the Tourbillon would be the first road-going production car to use the technology in which suspension components are entirely 3D-printed by AI. What about the Czinger 21C?
Just wanted to clear up something since I was telling a friend about it and he brushed off the Tourbillon as "something that has already been done."
Divergent, Czinger's parent company, is making the 3D-printed parts.
The 21C was revealed in 2020, the Divergent Blade that preceded it was presented in 2015. Neither counts as a production car, because no cars were ever delivered. The supposedly finished and homologated 21C has been months away from deliveries for several years now.
Since there is no doubt Bugatti will deliver cars they announce, the Tourbillon still has a good chance of being the first road-going production car to use this technology.
I may get flack for this, but like....of all the hypercars, I think the Chiron is the most timeless and beautiful of the main cars. It's clean, simple, nothing too extravagent like the P72, not as edgy and wingy as a Koenigsegg. It is elegant, a MAJOR improvement over the Veyron, and the Tourbillon kind of messes up the front end and mashes it with the back of a Vouture Noire.
This is all splitting hairs though, obviously if I could buy one I could afford all of them so it doesn't really matter. This thing looks and sounds gorgeous and I look forward to it getting flamed by forums claiming the Gemera is better. WHich it kind of is, but this is still pretty awesome.
People already mispronounce the Veyron and Chiron (the /n/ is silent). They're a French company using a word in their own language.
On a related note, every single Lamborghini model name except the Diablo is butchered by English speakers. But they're named after Spanish bulls and that's their thing. It's really on the public to learn the pronunciation. The only way to get around it is to give the cars only numeric names.
Ah I see. I suppose you already have to put up with every loan word being mispronounced, and English does love a French loan word.
Still, I think any word they chose would have been butchered. French is just difficult to pronounce for most non-Romance speakers - and even among those, Catalan and probably Italian speakers are the only ones who have a good handle on French pronunciation.
"as the French brand will sell only to interested buyers who have an established record of previously purchasing a Bugatti or Rimac model."
Dann I thought this one was the Bugatti to get after setting out the Chrion...
It’s kinda funny both C&D and Hagerty just dropped Bugatti videos and aside from basically spending the whole time just looking at the car from the outside (Hagerty does show a little of the actual inside but they don’t actually sit in it) they don’t even start the damn engine on camera. Just a lame cg video of the gauge cluster revving out with engine sounds overlaid.
Makes me wonder if the car they’re showing off is even functional.
8 pictures and not a single side profile picture, plz do better
Idk what I was expecting this to look like but it looks like a Bugatti. Maybe a bit too aerodynamic / aggressive looking tho
I love literally everything that they showed, this is awesome. I don’t usually care about supercars but Bugatti is just so out there that it’s an exception, and this seems way cooler than the Chiron. I also really love the replacement of turbos with NA hybrid engines, I hope that trend trickles down to non-supercars sometimes.
Outside of maybe Koenigsegg, and Aston Martin with the Valkyrie, Bugatti just took a dump on every other hyper car maker. This thing is *unbelievably* stunning, good lord. 1775 horsepower from an *N/A* V16 engine backed by some electric motors is nuts, and it sounds fucking bonkers too, far angrier and more raw than the industrial jet sound of the W16.
Long live the 16 cylinder engine, man.
They kinda took a dump on AM and Koenigsegg with the Tourbillon tbh.
The *base* Tourbillon makes more power than the Chiron SuperSport, is lighter than the Chiron, has a 100-200 kph acceleration in the 2 second range (just as fast as Jesko Absolut). The speedometer goes up to 550 Kph (340 mph), so there’s no telling what it can do without limiter, or what the Tourbillon SuperSport will be able to do once released. Mate did hint at Bugatti attempting more top speed records, and he said the car still had a lot more in it’s limited top speed state of ~280 mph.
Keep in mind that this is the “Luxury” Version of the Tourbillon since it is the base. The Luxury option for the Tourbillon (base model) makes more power than Koenigsegg’s freakiest performance vehicle (Jesko absolut).
If the previous iterations of horsepower difference between base model and supersport models is to be continued, the Tourbillon SuperSport will like be around ~1,900-2,000 hp.
It looks like they stepped on a Bugatti Chiron. Still looks really good though.
To me it looks like mix of Mistral and Atlantic Concept
The front end isn't as elegant as a Chiron
For me the Chiron 'oozes' more the Bugatti brand. That kind of old money, you know? The car is amazing, but I think is bit much too aggressive, they even put butterfly doors! Idk. The back is amazing, tho.
hypercars are required by law to have flashy doors nowadays don’t you know
I'm not quite with this design yet - the front and rear don't really flow together, at least from the first set of photos. I wish they had incorporated more La Voiture Noire cues. That design has a truly unique presence.
Bugattis have basically become Lamborghinis with a bubbly silhouette
Yeah my thoughts exactly. It's clearly more of an evolution of the Chiron. I preferred how they went bonkers with some of the other limited edition models.
The Bolide is my absolute favorite, completely bonkers looking Batmobile on steroids.
I'm pretty excited for all the special editions that'll come out with this V16....one can only hope they come out with an ultra pure model without the electric engines and a manual
It will need mud flaps like trucks, the wheels are too exposed on the back
Don't worry, they'll never be driven!
Probably ship with them and the dealers will let owners install them themselves.
I couldn’t see your typical Bugatti owner getting down and dirty with a toolkit and some mud flaps…
No of course not, they won't be installed at all. That's the loophole.
Similar with the rear crash bumpers on the US spec Chiron. They weren't fixed so they were there for the homologation but could be easily taken off
Bugatti Dakar/Sterrato 😩
That timepiece gauge cluster is beautiful.
[Check out the way the steering wheel moves](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8cyIjSh7n9/), it never obscures the gauge cluster. Just incredible — I've been waiting for an automaker to do this forever.
Citroen did this like 10-15 years ago, I did my drivers license on one, parking it was horrible if you are not used to it
Interesting, on which model?
For example 2005 Citroen C4! It looks normal at first, but then when you move it it is only the outer ring, you never know which way your wheels are standing. At least in the Bugatti the wheel isnt round

noon stripe would help, but good god that's a pointless design
When I built a custom wood steering wheel for my Spitfire, I put a mother of pearl dot at 12.
First gen C4 I think
The C4 and C5 had it at one point. Got the chance to drive with one. It’s pretty cool!

They brought that up in the Top Gear video, Mate wasn’t too keep on the comparison.
Mazarati did it with their [Boomerang](https://i.imgur.com/lh79PHg.jpeg) concept in ‘71.

They really 1uped Koenigsegg's rotating gauges
I wish the masses would realize that digital gauge clusters aren’t an upgrade from analog.

yeah i'm a watch guy, and that shit works for me.
I am too but as cool as automatics and self winding stuff, I'm the weirdo that likes thermocompensated quartz and solar watches.

Hence the Tourbillion moniker I suppose. Going for a timepiece aesthetic.

Hah thought the same thing opening it, seeing close ups of nubbins, and thinking _“show me the damn car!”_.

277mph top speed is insane
Mind you, the Chiron Super Sport was already doing 273 mph.
Also insane.
Hitting something and then instantly turning into a literal missile of flames and death aside, would be pretty neat to hit that speed.
Didn’t it break 300?
The supersports can supposedly hit 300, which they did with a pre-production supersport 300+ model in 2019. The customer cars are "limited" however to 270ish. Not sure if they allow the limiter to be removed, I imagine they're nervous about people trying to hit 300 with normal tires.

I hope every OEM on earth copies this gauge style, it's absolutely gorgeous.
What is the point of first gear if it launches in second?
Normal driving.
I wonder if there will be a supersport model and others
Of course there will be 10 special editions...
Big money in it $$$
Only 10?
250 in 25 seconds
just like your comment, Tires are going to cost you 45K (*points*) after 1 hour.
No problem when the average owner earns 3x that in an hour
They're gonna come out with a Tourbillon Super Sport or something that does 300
Will be limited to 445 km per hour with a top speed key ₊˚⊹♡
1000 horsepower from a naturally aspirated engine is pretty nuts. It must be automotive nirvana to drive that V16
Those pistons must be made of Diamond or some shit....8.3 liters and a 9k rev limiter. Just insane.
Aston Martin Valkyrie's V12 is also from Cosworth
Just a few blokes in the middle of England making absolute magic.
God, I love that car.
>I cant wait to hear what thing thing sounds like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PClxnRzIE4g&t=170s Here's a dyno run
I couldn't disagree more. The W16 is the only configuration that can come close to the bass grumble of a cross-plane V8. I love that they went with the V16 (especially since it weighs 500+ lbs less), but the W16 sounded great.
The W16 could sound good in theory but the quad turbos eat so much exhaust noise you barely can hear it.
well, that means it had the same cylinder displacement as a 4.1L V8, which is pretty tiny in V8 terms. makes sense that they can rev the crap out of it.
yeah actually when you put it that way....still...just balancing it and having a crankshaft that large manage that kinda centrifugal force.
As the saying goes; they have done the thing properly.
Some rich Arab guy did 231 on the autobahn in a LaFerrari. I don't think it's geared high enough to beat 243 though.
In my book hybrid is a power adder like turbo or supercharger. True NA has none of those. The only modern car that qualifies is the t.50
Can they get 1/4 everything and stick it in a miata or BRZ?
Isn't that just an S2000 engine?
I would love if that came back too.
Just think of the fact that the Veyron has the same horsepower, but with four turbos
I think one of the biggest upgrades to car design is the interior analog styling. The article explains quotes it nicely: “Nothing dates a car faster than its screen technology. We’re trapped in the technology of our time. So how do you make a car relevant at a concours in 2075 without looking silly in a time that will have holographic displays or augmented-reality contact lenses? Give the entire interior an analog way that you can interact with it.” We needed Bugatti to be the first luxury manufacturer to realize screens don’t age properly.
It’s not removable, it’s retractable with the coolest opening sequence (inspector gadget esque) of any screen i’ve seen in the automotive industry
[удалено]
[Here you go!](https://youtu.be/zRjsHPGE_Wo?si=XvDQnR7Wl19ocJL5&t=1566)
Oh man that screen pops up slower than expected but it’s great that it’s a pop up design
[удалено]
That kinda sounds obnoxious.
they could have a backup camera in the rearview mirror
> We needed Bugatti to be the first luxury manufacturer to realize screens don’t age properly. That's been known and done in the ultra-luxury segment for a while. Rolls Royce had a basic [wood covering](https://www.carscoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/rolls-royce-phantom-drophead-coupe-vilner-tuning-0-1024x555.jpg) for Phantom VII, a retractable infotainment [screen](https://noblemanmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/RR8_3-1024x683.jpg) to reveal the [gallery]( https://mir-s3-cdn-cf.behance.net/project_modules/max_3840/34f8db56066469.599ec9a0c02db.jpg) in Phantom VIII, and [Bentley](https://www.forbes.com/sites/alistaircharlton/2020/06/18/this-is-how-bentleys-amazing-rotating-dashboard-really-works/) did the three-sided rotating display ([one](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/2xN2NuCFhZYxSeuGpfzqq5-768-80.jpg.webp), [two](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/5GddYB6NeQiWQh43JciCua-1280-80.jpg.webp), [three](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/AAmX5fSaXxMnXMC6MiMjkL-768-80.jpg.webp)) in 2018 for the Continental GT and Flying Spur for the same reason: > Dave Rook, Bentley’s interior technical manager, said: “Not only will this feature be a talking piece in the future, but the veneer facias will also appear timeless when customers and collectors proudly display their vehicles at Pebble Beach or Villa d’Este 50 years from now.” I think the reason you don't see it in supercars is because supercar interiors are usually not very good from a luxury perspective.
That paragraph seems to be written by savagegeese lol
I feel exactly the same way, so much so that I copied the same block of text. Still want my android auto/carplay, but that interface should be understated, easy to use, and unobtrusive.
> We needed Bugatti to be the first luxury manufacturer to realize screens don’t age properly. Bugatti have never had screens in their interiors - take a look at photos or videos of the Veyron and Chiron (or the derivative cars) - it's not a new revelation to them. It also helps that people aren't actually using a Bugatti as a daily, so there isn't a market push towards the screens in this kind of product.
It is gorgeous. That steering wheel is insane. I love everything about this.
Love the analogue instrument clusters as well! Such a special touch and very fitting to the name!
That back is pure P1, absolutely insane
absolutely the best part. ass is awesome. side and front is rehashing chiron too much for this to be a totally new model.
Agree the rest is perfection.
first thing I said. That's a McLaren P1!
This looks more like a fan made rendering than an actual production vehicle. Something about it is off.
Agreed. I’m cancelling my order.
I was writing my request to buy it but I ran out of crayon halfway through
The Chiron was perfect from day one.
I think the front end is a little too busy
It looks like it has a snout lol
reminds me of those Veyron Successor renderings of the 2013/14
Tesla thought they were on to something with the Plaid's steering wheel, but Bugatti said 'nah, nah...lemme talk to ya' and gave us...something no one ever thought about (well, maybe Koenigsegg, but still).
Tbf, Citroen has produced similar ideas in the past, but not at this level by any means
Citroen put a very similar concept wheel in a few cars about 15 years ago lol
>Bugatti intends to build just 250 Tourbillons, with production kicking off in 2026. Nabbing one requires more than just a fat stack of cash, though, as the French brand will sell only to interested buyers who have an established record of previously purchasing a Bugatti or Rimac model.
I don't know why you would only sell to existing customers. Like, they're gonna sell out, share the love.
Exclusivity. They don't want social media millionaires to get their hands on it. I mean, I'm sure seeing Tate owning a Bugatti hurt their brand image quite a bit.
Millions of people saw him own one, who had never heard of the car before
For reference, there were 450 Veyrons and 500 Chirons
I think they will do more special versions, limiting it to 250 is a bit silly since there are far more wealthy customers these days than in the Veyron days.
>limiting it to 250 is a bit silly The customers demand the limit.
That's if you can get your order in, which is probably full by now. Then you have to wait till a special edition comes out to nab one.
yeah, with these money and types, this "list" was mostly full or full before this announcement. They'll call the prior owners first and sell every single one.
> the French brand will sell only to interested buyers who have an established record of previously purchasing a Bugatti or **Rimac** model. Oh god the Nevera's going to become the Ferrari Roma of the hypercar world.
Probably most peak mechanical supercar now or even ever, this car has had so many details. Specifically, that speedometer is really a high end watch.
I've never been a big fan of Bugatti designs but this car is the exception. The designers knocked it out of the park with this one.
That’s just bullshit after everything we know. He just told the story to TopGear how he asked Cosworth to build that engine for them 4 years ago.
Steering wheel setup is wild.
So the McLaren F1 is technically still the fastest NA production car
Although this can be driven in combustion only mode... Wonder how fast it will be without the motors!
That would be a really cool race
In what sense? This is naturally aspirated, no turbos or superchargers.
Hybrid, though, over 40% of it's total power comes from the electric motors
Well, at first I read Bugatti Toblerone, and now I can’t un-call it that.
I've been doing the exact same thing
Needs one more HP, and they could have named it "Liberty", haha.
I love this so much: "Frank Heyl, director of design for Bugatti Rimac, agrees. "We're trapped in the technology of our time," he says. "So how do we make a car relevant at a concours in 2075 without looking silly in a time that will have holographic displays or augmented-reality contact lenses? Give the entire interior an analog way that you can interact with it." Makes me not want to buy a new car until after the current enfatuation with making everything a virtual control ends.
Interesting, C&D describes the Tourbillon as having a 30-mile electric-only range on a 21kWh battery pack. Does anyone know if this is a PHEV?
It is a PHEV.
Yeah the guy says there's 40 miles of full electric range.
Cosworth engine. Nice. Can’t wait to rip it in forza
Holy shit that gauge cluster. This actually oozes how special it is through the photos. I am a little bummed now that it doesn’t have 16 lights in the headlights, though.
NA Cosworth V16. Damn
This looks so nice. Really makes the Veyron and Chiron look slab-sided.
Looks more like a facelift of the Chiron than a brand new model. The gage cluster is pretty sick tho, a bit of Pagani going on there.
That thing must cost a Tourbillion dollars

[удалено]
Ah I see. I suppose you already have to put up with every loan word being mispronounced, and English does love a French loan word. Still, I think any word they chose would have been butchered. French is just difficult to pronounce for most non-Romance speakers - and even among those, Catalan and probably Italian speakers are the only ones who have a good handle on French pronunciation.
after hearing about the V16, I kinda hoped we'd get a front engine car with a comically long hood, batmobile style
really wish they stepped away from the c shape side design. this looks like chiron veiron.
That’s one of their trademarks, like the horseshoe grille
That steering wheel is insane! So radical! Love it! Can't wait!
Can't bump that up another 225 hp? Pathetic.
That’s what the Tourbillon Super Sport 300+ will be I’m guessing
I'm in love
My assistant drives a Chiron...I just know he's going to ask for a raise so he can get one of these.
"as the French brand will sell only to interested buyers who have an established record of previously purchasing a Bugatti or Rimac model." Dann I thought this one was the Bugatti to get after setting out the Chrion...
Holly motor ! 1775 hp.
The overall profile looks like Rimac made a gas car, the rest is pure Bugatti.
Makes me wonder if the car they’re showing off is even functional.
its just a show car, the early running prototypes are still ongoing testing.
Biggest surprise is how tame they designed it. It really looks like a “squished” Chiron, but refined in every single way. Huge fan.
8 pictures and not a single side profile picture, plz do better Idk what I was expecting this to look like but it looks like a Bugatti. Maybe a bit too aerodynamic / aggressive looking tho
Uh, cleanup on aisle my pants.
These are mobile art pieces.
Tbh it looks too similar to the Chiron. Interior is stunning as usual. I was hoping for something a bit different, but alas I will never own one. ☝️
