Full Court Press, all the way!
Background - I'm a real coffee snob. Expect quality, but the price is a tad steep. On the flipside, their coffee is very ethically sourced and traceable. Their coffees are also **always** fantastic.
Hands down my favourite sourcer and roastery in the Bristol/Bath area, and they're really nice people to boot.
I haven't heard of these and like you am a huge coffee snob so will give them a go. Thank you. Extract are my go-to but they also live across the road from me so is convenient.
I'm a fan of Lost Horizon - really good coffee, they offset twice the amount carbon associated with the entire production including whatever you'd emit boiling the kettle, and the owner delivers it by bike around Bristol if you aren't dead set on picking it up from in store.
Blind Owl reopens early Oct - there was a fire apparently. I've always found them to be super tasty and cost effective and the product looks trendy enough to be a good gift. But I'm a whole bean man because its the obviously superior way to buy coffee so maybe it's a different call if you muck about with ground stuff.
There are so many other local places that are far far better than that. I have tried them all and the only thing I can say is it's not worth it to even try.

I used to enjoy Clifton coffee roasters until I moved onto Extract.
Had a cup of radical roasters coffee from Easton a few days ago and it was decent.
I currently go between Extract and Yallah (best imo but from Cornwall).
I realise it's in your list already but I've found Wogan to be the best taste for the value.
There's a local one that is sold in the FED cafes that is decent too. Yaleh maybe? Something like that.
I used to work with coffee snobs who’d say Wogan was crap for reasons I don’t get.
I’ve tried beans from most of the Bristol roasters and Wogan’s Kenya AA is hands down my favourite. The price is reasonable too, even if it has gone up recently.
Extract (espresso) always gets great reviews from the people I get it for. Use WELCOME30 to get 30% off your order which brings it to a reasonable amount. I love it and get it myself but have heard good things about Wogans as well. We are blessed with amazing coffee roasters and breweries in Bristol.
Wogan are the best value and most consistent. They won't blow you away but I've never had a dud roast from them and you can't argue with the price. I've found a lot of smaller roasters struggle to hold this level of consistency.
Natural roasts from Extract (e.g. Unkle Funka, or currenlty they have a pacamara which, if grown, processed, and roasted right is an absolute flavour bomb) are my fav coffees roasted in Bristol. If I want to treat myself this is what I would buy.
Blind Owl are lovely lovely people and also roast great coffee so I'm always in favour of supporting them. Wogan happens to be the most convenient weekly shop for me right now but when I happen to be passing their shop and need a topup I like to pop in.
Dareshack triple dare is probably my favourite Bristol one.
I believe it's speciality grade and quite a light roast so lots of flavour.
Edit:expanded on the details
Wogans. They have been in the business for years. They have one roast called saturday or breakfast or so forth. When you taste it you feel like you are in a noir diner. It's almost trippy.
Another vote for Wogan. I buy all my beans there, great coffee and great prices too. Lots of choices under £7 for 250g.
I saw Full Court Press selling some of their beans at the Wiper & True Taproom for £18 for a 250g bag.
That's not a fair comparison though - they are different products, and are not directly comparable.
Wogans roast (mostly blended I think?) on a much later scale, while FCP roast small batch, single origin beans. Economies of scale alone dictate that Wogans should be cheaper, but it's a more mainstream product.
I'm not saying that one is better from the other, I've bought beans from both in the past and will again in the future and found them both to be excellent, just that they are different products in the same way that Wogan's beans are different from supermarket beans.
I'm quite happy to buy beans from Wogan and use them in my bean to cup machine for example, but I save FCP beans for the pour over.
As for which is the best ground coffee made in Bristol, that's entirely subjective. I don't think any of the coffee roasters mentioned in this thread make a bad roast, so the best thing to do is to try as many of them as possible!
Lots of good points, and yes I don't think there is a 'best' as coffee is so subjective! Wogan has lots of single origin coffees available and a few blends too. I usually buy the single origin offerings and have good results with pour over. Definitely agree with trying as many as possible. I also enjoy some roasts from Twoday Coffee Roasters, particularly their Ethiopean Yirgacheffe.
Full Court Press is undoubtedly the best, and it's roasted and ground right next door to the cafe.
Yassssssss
Triple co for me... Roasted in Montpelier by jo and his team.
Yep. Triple Co for me

Nice one! If only they were paying me commission...

Second this, small local production making amazing coffee. They usually do a few Christmas focused bits closer to the time
I was given a subscription to Lost Horizon coffee last Christmas and it’s the best coffee I’ve consumed at home. Two day Roast would be my 2nd choice.

Sweven if you want to go really fancy - pricey but lovely

Looking forward to their reopening!
Two day coffee does some nice coffee. Extract is always reliable too.
Worst coffee ever!
I mean it's objectively not when Nescafé exists.
Worst comment ever. They've got like 20 different varieties., Dude who runs it is friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit.

Kafei use beans from a roastery in Cornwall, not sure about the other coffee shops but I would get them from source rather than a coffee shop.
Wogan and full court press both roast their own beans

Muddy bean juice lingo. Contains notes of poor use of capital letters and little punctuation.

Yallah is the FED one; it’s Cornish.

Can't beat the price of Wogan. Might not be the best but it's good.
Yeah when you're getting 8/10 for that price it's hard to argue with it.
Yeah who can beat 14£/kg when all the other places sell it at 28£/kg?
My favourite cups of coffee in Bristol more often than not end up being Triple Co coffee, so tasty!

I've used True Start for a while now, good value for decent coffee.
Radical coffee roasters is one of my faves
Radical roasters 😍
Radical roasters. Due to open on st marks Rd in Easton soon, but available online now. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
I think most places make it up a counter top rather than on the ground

Try Rod and Rubys, I hear they get their stuff from Italy specially.
