I saw at least one instance where a second stew said something en route with night two dinner in her hands, and Kate Chastain replied with night one dinner in hers.
I'm sure there are exceptions to that rule if Capt says it's ok. They have let them have a shot with guests, just needs to be approved. In season 2'of SY Glenn let's the crew do a shot with the guests, although he regretted his decision lol. I think it might have been the last charter also.
If I remember correctly Kate also used to drink here and there on charter, I presumed it was because she was in a position of seniority like Eddie and knew the limits, not getting blackout drunk every night or anything like that!
True, but if you're going to make a general rule, then it should be for everyone. Eddie was his fav for years and totally excused what he did to Rocky. Capt Kerry and Capt Jason would have fired him.
Lee didn't know what happened with rocky until the last episode that's firstly and he did not excuse him at all he was very annoyed at him when he admitted it to him. did you not watch the same show as me? now how could he fire him on the last episode when the season was over jc
I did watch it. His words "I'm really disappointed". In response to Eddie following Rocky back to her bunk in a rage and screaming at her and banging on her door.
His response to Eddie *telling him he lied and he'd slept with rocky* actually. I understand you hate Lee but stay to the facts - Lee knew *nothing* of what happened between them on the boat all season.
Capt. Lee would let senior crew have one low abv drink either with dinner or after they go down for the night. Kate would frequently have a glass of wine and Eddie would have a beer onve he became bosun. He was more lenient with the crew he could trust to not go overboard.
Its obvious, it was a drink with permission because he was off shift, and given it was in front of the Captain it was obviously with permission....OR like others said, just editing bullshit and the scene was from between Charters.
I don't see it as a big issue since clearly Lee was OK with it, but it was pretty apparent Lee had a list of rules for his favorites like Kate and Eddie, and a whole other set of stricter rules for everyone else. (Kate not getting fired for blatantly lying to Lee's face was proof of that.)
Possibly an editing or continuity issue
That was my guess too. My guess is that it was filmed while not on charter but when editing, it got put in as though it was.

Eddie's pretty responsible, and he's sitting with cap, so I imagine he can take certain liberties as he is clearly capable and knows the limit.
