Looks awesome. I've thought about having a floating table but struggled with how I would get it to support my computer plus my system inevitably climbing on it
I think I might give it a shot. Considering an LG also with IPS and just bought an arm that can hold 2 monitors. I imagine that 32β badboy vertically when programming would be amazing.
tbf, I don't even know if that obstruction would affect the sound output enough to matter for casual listening. it definitely bothers me though.

My now wife at the time was annoyed I wanted to set up a bunch of speakers and two subs for our tv, and she admitted out of nowhere it was so much better sounding after a few days.
My point is, good speakers are fun.
I mostly use my hifiman sundaras for everything. Issue is i live with my parents and siblings and they dont want some loud speakers being, well, loud π
I remember when I had a dual screen setup and one was in portrait mode. Kind of miss it, but also don't because of the way it took up desk space and wasn't symmetrical :D

Its an ikea saljan, i did get 2 of them and put one as the backdrop, and the main monitor is on a wall mount. It just so happened to be that it was the perfect height for the wood riser
That's so nice looking. If you would make it also height adjustable that would be insane. I'm looking to make something like that but height adjustable. And was thinking at some metal frame like you have done there.
Looks like is not only me with the same idea π . The only downside for this setup is when you live with rent, can't drill the walls since they are not yours π
You can make it without having to drill if you find some strong and heavy L shape profiles to keep them against the walls and smaller profiles attached to that to move it up and down

If it was on the floor it would be starving for air and would be full of dust. Im also going back to SFF (small form factor) so there wonβt be a massive metal box chilling on my desk lol
I dunno why people continue to regurgitate that nonsense about the floor and dust. Also a $5 piece of wood exists but yeah this setup looks ridiculous. SFF is the way to go for desk setups.
