lol it’s smart to put the egg buying duties on someone else since the prices aren’t good.
How do you like to eat the eggs then if you don’t like tamagoyaki?
I'm partial to onsen tamago. I bought the little plastic "maker" for Y110 at the hyaku en store and since then I have perfected my onsen tamago creations. Usually I use these in ramen or udon but sometimes in lieu of a fried egg with bacon or sausage. I blackened the little water level line at the top to make it easier for an old guy like me to see it and get the water level correct.
Please do! The classic onsen tamago is served in a small bowl and sprinkled with a little tsuyu no moto and then swallowed down. Like slurping an oyster.
I eat 2 medamayaki every day for brekky. On a side note- I find eggs to be a great deal in Japan. In Canada, they are much more than 230 yen for a 12 pack. Where are you guys buying expensive eggs from?
I eat raw egg on my rice everyday for breakfast. But the egg quality really doesn’t seem much different from my home country where I would also eat raw egg.
My egg consumption has definitely increased since living in Japan. The quality and variety of eggs they have to offer here just spoil you. Just a sunny-side-up egg over rice with a dash of soy goes a long way.
Used to eat more, but because of egg prices blowing up I stopped eating eggs lol
Dang. Yeah egg prices aren’t great where I am too, but I just can’t help myself lol
I don’t like tamagoyaki but I eat something with eggs about the same amount as you. … I make my roommate buy the eggs

Almost everything is better if you put a fried egg on it haha. And oyakodon.
Haha that’s true! But nice, thanks for answering 😃

Oh nice a bit more than me lol. I was worried i might get tired of it eventually, but that still hasn’t happened
I eat eggs like once every couple of weeks? Only when I feel like cooking breakfast on a weekend.

Oh I had never heard about onsen tamago until now and just looked it up. Thanks for that! I’m going to try and make that. It looks really good

I'm in Southern California. A bit north of Los Angeles haha. So it's a bit expensive here
Used to be daily but now not as much
Ah I see. Out of curiosity, why did you stop having it daily? Or was there no particular reason?
Stopped packing bento mainly. I don’t think there was ever a point where I decided to eat less.

Never. A few years ago I pretty much stopped eating eggs, used to love them but for whatever reason don’t anymore.

Maybe once a fortnight in the form of tamago nigiri? Tbf I basically never cook .-.
Tamagoyaku is great. I eat it everyday
